Cute Little Monster

Image
Happy Weekend! 'Monster Cuties' is the name of this newly released clear stamp set illustrated by Crissy Armstrong and exclusively available in the Whimsy store now. I started out with a dark teal A2, top-fold card base. I inked the background with Distress Oxide ink Salvaged Patina using the 'Brick Pattern Stencil'. Then I cut out the NEW Weird-O Frame die from white cardstock and the dots from patterned paper (a gelli print scrap I had laying around) and white glitter paper.  I stamped the 'Monster Cuties' onto Strathmore Mixed Media Paper with Versafine Onyx. I colored the images using FC Albrecht Dürer watercolor pencils. The sentiment was stamped onto mixed media paper as well and cut out with the 'Quick Strip' die set' and 'Simple Sentument Strips' die set. I arranged everything on my card front and adhered it with liquid glue and foam squares/dots. As a finishing touch I added some Stardust Stickles and glazed sequin confetti

Happy Sunday ! Here is some more inspiration from Whimsy's newest release showcasing the newest military dies in the collection. I opted for a slimline card and it is (besides the little sentiment) a dies-only card. I also used the Slimline Military Papers to cut out some of the clothes parts of the NEW Military Profiles. Thanks for your visit!

Life is Sweet!

Are you ready for another Whimsy release? Here it comes! Today my creation is all about juicy sweetness.....like ice cream on a hot Summer day! How I created my card: I first inked up a white cardstock panel using Distress Oxide inks in an array of rainbow colors. I then die cut the juicy pieces using the NEW Juicy Die Set. I then stamped the ice cream images from the NEW Sweet Summer Fun clear stamp set onto alcohol ink friendly cardstock. I colored them using Ohuhu Honolulu markers and fussy cut them. The sentiment that is included with the stamp set was stamped onto white cardstock, cut out and layered onto a slightly larger piece of black cardstock. Now it is time to assemble the card. On a white A2 sized card base I arranged the juicy pieces in an overlapping manner and adhered them with glue and foam tape. The images and sentiment were added on top of the juicy pieces. Adding a few matching sequins to finish the card. Thanks for stopping by today!

Robotic Birthday Hugs

Hey Friends! I had to use one of these cute new Robots again and pair it with the awesome new Happy Birthday Coverplate. I just love this die. It is so versatile. You can just use part of it and combine it with other stamps and dies or for a really quick card use the die as is and just add a colorful background. In this case here for the card I only needed the birthday part. I combined it with the word hugs from the Big Hugs Word Die Set to create the sentiment. I colored the robot with my Art-n-Fly markers and Prisma pencils. I airbrushed the background and added some matching paint splatters. Some sequins and dew drops add the finishing touch to my card. Hi friends! It's all about Robots with one of the the stamp sets I am showcasing today. It is release day at Whimsy Stamps and I had so much fun creating with the new products. Please read below about the products I've combined on my card and what I used to color my images. I was trying out two new coloring mediums I recently acquired. I combined three newly released products on my card today. First is this adorable sitting robot from the NEW Robots clear stamp set by Dustin Pike. The balloons and matching die cuts are from the NEW Celebrate Balloons clear stamp set and NEW Celebrate Balloons Outline die set.  For the background I used the NEW Peekaboo Window 5 die and a sheet of the Comics 6x6 paper pack from an earlier release. The sentiment is included with the robots stamp set and I cut it out using the Simple Sentiment Strips die set. I also decided to turn one of the balloons into a shaker element and used the largest heart die from the Gothic die set. For the

Hello All! Two more samples showcasing the NEW Coverplate die Happy Birthday. On the first card I combined the new coverplate die with the NEW Ancient Days Club clear stamp set. I decided to make it a shaker card to add some dimension and bling. The NEW Coverplate Happy Birthday die is ideal for a shaker card or partial shaker card. So versatile, there are so many options with this die. 💕 I colored the images using Caran D'Ache Luminance pencils. On my second card I die cut the Happy Birthday coverplate from dark blue glitter cardstock and adhered it on a gel press background from my stash. This makes for a really fast card. However the background and glitter die cut add enough interest and dimension to the card so that it doesn't look boring.  Hugs,

Hello Friends! Today I am sharing a card made with products from Whimsy's most recent release.  You'll find all the new goodies HERE! The NEW Happy Birthday Coverplate die makes creating a card really quick and easy. For the background I used a sheet of the previously released Bokeh 6x6 papers. Then I colored a few images from the NEW Koala Birthday clear stamps set using Ohuhu Alcohol markers, cut them out and added them to the front of the card. Some stickles glitter glue and a few sequins to add some bling. Voila - my card is done.   Hugs,
