Portrait & Sketch - LHO Challenge 21

Image
Happy Sunday to you all and thanks for taking the time and visiting me today! It's time for a new lovely-hAnglar-only challenge. Our super talented DT sister Nicolchen is the host and she picked the theme 'Portrait' (we don't want to see whole hAnglars on your projects!) plus a wonderful sketch! For all the challenge details please visit our challenge blog HERE I decided to use this cute hAnglar boy with flower and cut him out with my circle spellies to have a portrait like image. Nicolchens sketch was much fun to play with. The DP is from Basic Grey and the flowers are from Prima and punched out. The border die is the newly released double scallop border die from Whimsy. It's so gorgeous! You can find it HERE . The sentiment is from Whimsy as well. I colored using Prismacolor pencils.  Here's a closer look on the image:  I hope you got some inspiration and like to use join us over at our newest LHO challenge ! Hugs,

Springtime Moments

Image
Happy TGIF! Uuuhh...I am way later with my posting today as I had planned. My washer broke down this morning and left me with  huge pile of dripping wet and still dirty laundry...yikes! So I spent my morning doing some research on washers and getting rid of my old one. Then I went and bought me a high efficiency washer. So far ...very good and I am happy with it! Already did two loads :-) Ok and here's my card for today: 'Rainy Day Duckling' is this adorable image called from Whimsy's latest release and it's available HERE . This time I colored with Prisma pencils and OMS. Unfortunately I used the wrong paper and coloring was not as nice and easy. I could not built up the color as I wanted to.  That's also wgy the colors are not that intense. This paper was way to smooth, almost wax like. And instead of building up color it smeared. For this technique I like it if the paper has a little bit of grip. The sentiment is from the 'Spring Letter Seals' a

Spring is coming...

Hello all! At last I managed to color this cutie pie Tilda from Magnolias latest collection. I love Tulips, one of my favorite flowers besides roses and lily'.    I used Distress Inks to color her and the image was stamped onto 300g hot press watercolor paper with Archival Ink.  Papers are from Making Memories. I also used my MS tulip border punch for the first time. The die cut leaves are made with a Magnolia DooHickey die. The Cherry Blossoms are from Whimsy and the other flowers from my stash. Butterflies are punched with a EK Success punch. The decorative pin is from embellishments.de   I also decorated the inside to match the outside of the card. Here you can see the punched tulip border much better. I'll enter this card into this weeks Just Magnolia & hAnglar & stAnglar Challenge  - Favorite Color Combo as well as the Stamp Something Challenge - Something Sweet (I think Tilda is just too sweet ;-) ) Thanks for stopping by today. Have a fab Thursday! Hu
