Tilda's Birthday Wishes & Candy Time!

****** For My Candy Please Scroll Down! ******

Hello All and Happy TGIF! Today my post is a bit longer so please bear with me. I have different things I want to share with you all and one of them is a CANDY I have up for grabs! At the end of this posting you'll find the candy and how to participate. :-) I wanted to do this for quite some time and now finally I came a round and did it!

I also have a video to show. I was asked several times already from fellow stampers and followers of my blog if I could do coloring video's. Honestly I'm not so much of a video type and there are already hundred of Copic coloring video's out there. No need need to throw another one in there....I thought! But you kept asking and well what shall I say I gave in. It is really nothing special and there are way better learning video's out there but here it is my first coloring video! So please be easy on me I never did a coloring video before. This first video shows how I colored the skin of this little Love Cake Tilda. Over time I will make more videos on how I color hair, cloth, etc. I just need to practice a little more on how I can make these video's better.

Here is the card made with the cute 'Tilda with Love Cake':

I opted for bright pink and turquoise papers and used dark brown as a little contrast.

Closer look on Tilda

As most of the time the inside is decorated to match the outside of the card.

My artsy shot ;-)

This time I made the card box in matching bright pink.
This card has been sold, thanks so much!!!

Celebrate the Moment

Happy TGIF Everyone! Finally I was able to color one of my new Tildas I recently ordered :-) But before I show it to you I would like to let you know that the new Whimsy Inspirations Magazine is available to view online, as always it's for free! :-)

If you like to get a printed version of the magazine you can pre-order ii next week in the Whimsy Store.

Now onto my card for today. This stamp is called 'Tilda With Spitz Pocket' (I think) and is from the 'Special Moments' collection.

I colored Tilda with my Copics (scroll further down for a list of colors) and also tried a new coloring cardstock. Well new to me that is. But I must say I don't like too much. If you are like me and building up color in lots of layers this cardstock is no good. After just a few layers it wont take any color anymore and the surface gets sticky with lots of built up. Also the color seems to sit on top of the paper and is not drying for a very long time. Which means it gets smeary and you have to be very careful not to touch it. The cardstock I was testing is from The Paper Temptress and called Heavenly White.

Copics/ShinHan used:
Hair & Shoes: E21-25-29
Skin: E000-00-21-11-R20
Dress & Socks: V000-01-04-06-09, TouchTwin: YR33-Y35-Y38

The sentiment is from Whimsy's Birthday Letter Seals. Dies I used are from Joy Crafts! (butterfly border and butterfly) Magnolia (flower) Spellbinders (circle nesties) and Whimsy (tag on envelope). Flowers are from WOC, the grid mesh ribbon is from embellishments.de and the papers are Basic Grey 'Plumeria'. All other embellishmetns are from my stock and the violet pearls are made with a Viva Decor pearl pen.

The inside is decorated to match the outside.

I also made a matching envelope with a string closure. These are perfect for the more bulky, 3D style cards.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful weekend!

Dutch Paper Crafts - Marianne Creatables Release

Hello and Happy Thursday Everyone! Today I'd like to show you a card I made using Marianne Creatables LR 0241 und LR0242. Darlene from Dutch Paper Crafts has just released these Marianne Design Creatables called Petra's Ovals and Anja's Squares & Labels. As always Darlene has put up a fantastic video to show you samples (this time made by me ;-) ) with these dies! To see all the different dies available please visit the Dutch Paper Crafts blog!

Note: Unfortunately I have to put my watermark from now on right on the card and also on part of the colored image (or at least close to it) instead of in one of the corners. Again one of my images was copied from my blog, printed out and re-used as 'own creation' from the thief. Well that happened before as well as the whole cards got copied and put on other blogs and I even saw one of my creations on Etsy one time as sample for a 'made-to-order' item. Awww this really makes me sick! And I hate to do it but for my future creations I will think of a different watermark which is right on top of part of the colored image/center of the card. Sorry for this but I'm really tired of finding my creations/images on other peoples blogs :-/

On my card and box I used dies from the Creatables sets LR 0241 und LR0242. The Magnolia image was colored using Copics (Darlene can get you Magnolia images as well!!). Papers are from Bo Bunny's 'Powder Mountain' collection.

Copics used: -- will be added later today --

Decorated inside of the card...

...and the matching box:

Thankls for stopping by and have a nice day!

Walter - Joy to the World

Hello everyone! Hope you all are having a great week so far! Today I have some early Christmas greetings for you from 'Walter the Moose'. It's a Magnolia stamp from this years fall collection if I'm not mistaken. He is just too adorable and I couldn't resist on getting this cutie.

I stamped him with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-press it card. Of course he was colored with Copic's (E30's, E70's and W-grays) like always. The outline was done with pencils and OMS. The designer papers are from an older Basic Grey collection called 'Jovial' I love these papers. The snow under his feet is 'Shaved Ice' from Stampendous. The snow on the fence and trees is made with  Snow-Tex (DecoArt) and Aleene's True Snow. Pearl swirls are from Want to Scrap.
The dies I've used on the outside of the card are Marianne Design Creatables LR0136 Christmas Tree and LR0205 Fence and Magnolia Heart Swirl and Star Tag. You can get them all at Dutch Paper Crafts. Darlene doesn't have the Magnolias in stock but she can order them for you and you know she always has good prices! Just drop her an email and she will be happy to answer your questions and help you!

The flowers are from WOC , ribbon is from Whimsy Stamps and lace from my stash

I also decoratd the inside. Acutally all four sides of this card are decorated! Sentiment is one of the Whimsy freebies Denise sends out with orders. Dies on the inside are again the tree from Marianne Design and Snowflake and Poinsettia from Spellbinders (Darlene can also get the Spellbinders for you!)

The back side of the card

And because this card is pretty bulky and wont fit in an envelope I made a matching box decorated with the same DP, ribbon and string as I used on the card. And as a finishing touch I've added a glittery snowflake ornament and a Christmas tree charm.

This card is available for sale in my Etsy Boutique 'Delightful Card Design'
Card has been sold to Heike F., thanks so much hun!!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Hugs,

Time to Celebrate

Hello ladies (and gents;-) ) My card today is using one of the Memory Box Debutante Frames which are now available to buy from Dutch Paper Crafts. Darlene put up a great video in which she shows you the dies in close up view and also more projects created with these dies. The cards I've created for the video will also be shown on my blog over the next couple of days.

The frame around Tilda is made using the Debutante Frame (base) and the Twirly Vine frame (layered on top of the base frame). 'Flower Tilda' of course was colored with Copics and the DP is from Bo Bunny's Ambrosia collection. The sentiment is from Whimsy's Birthday Letter Seals. Embellies are all from my stash.

A close up on the cute Tilda

The inside was decorated to match the outside. Here I used the Vaudeville Frame and again the Debutante Frame as base

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Golden Wedding Anniversary!

To enter the 'Whimsy Birthday Party Hop' please -click here-

*************************************

Hello Everyone! Tomorrow my parents are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary! :) Wow what a long time together and the best thing, they are still happy and love each other like on the first day!! :-D The card I'm showing today is on it's way to them and touching ground there on Friday...just right in time ;-) (Thanks Micha xx :) )

I tried the vintage shabby chic look with all the 'white stuff' on there. I was inspired by my former DT sister and friend Kathy, she has a great tutorial for that on her blog HERE. As well as by Tracy and her recent article on the MIC blog HERE. AND I finally bought the 'Distrezz it All' from Zutter. Yeah! I was contemplating about it for quite a while now and on Monday it arrived at my door steps :). I have to say I LOVE it! So much easier and soooo quick because you can distress all the papers at once...just love it! Everyone was complaining about the noise.... well yes it is making noise but grinding my coffee beans is louder ... LOL  Ok enough blabber here is the card:

I went for that sweet Magnolia stamp Tilda and Edwin as 'Loving Couple'. Just perfect for my card. I colored it using Copics. Outline was done with Prismas and OMS. I cut the image out using the floral ovals die from Spellbinders. DP is from basic Grey, an older collection. Swirls and tag are Magnolia DooHickey dies and the leave is a MIC laser cut chipboard, available here at Whimsy. For the 'white stuff' I used different products: Gesso, white crackle paint, Snow Tex, white coarse glitter, paper/fiber paste and white spray paint. All the DP edges were distressed and I used a lot of Stickles Glitter Glue as well. All other embellishments are from my stash. Oh and the gorgeous golden seam binding is from Whimsy as well.

Here is the card with the tag pulled out. The sentiment stamp is from Alota I think (but not sure about that) and the small postmark stamps are from Whimsy.

The inside of the card is decorated to match the outside and has also a little space for a gift certificate ;-)

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful Thursday!

Luv 'n hugs,
Iris
