Bunnies in the Garden - Whimsy Stamps March Release

Hi Crafty Friends! Welcome on my blog and to Whimsy Stamps March 2024 release. All the products are now live in the store. Here is a link to all new products from March including this release:
March 2024 products

Here is my release inspiration using the super cute Bunnies in the Garden clear stamp set illustrated by the amazingly talented Crissy Armstrong for Whimsy Stamps. There are also matching No-Fuss-Masks available for this set and matching outline dies.

To create my scene I first stamped the images onto a panel of mixed media paper. I also used the No Fuss Masks to overlap some of the images and also to ink the background with Distress Oxide Inks. These masks are such a time saver, no more time-consuming fussy cutting. They fit perfectly and also stay in place while inking.
I water colored the images with Stabilo Pen 68 markers and added depth and some details using Caran D'ache Luminance pencils.
To complete my scene I die cut different elements from the Slimline Scenic Countryside, Build a Fairy Garden, Slimline Meadow and Slimline Fence die sets (links see below) from various colored cardstock.

Embrace Your Weirdness

Hey Crafty Friends! Before the newest Whimsy release will go live at midnight I have two more cards to share from the February release.

My first one has a Mixed Media touch to it. I used the So Weird clear stamp set together with earlier released products. All products I've used are listed below including links.

I started out with a kraft cardstock panel. First I've added white paint to distress the cardstock panel a bit. Then I started adding texture with the Harlequin stencil, texture paste and distress crayons. I also added scribbles and doodles using the Mixed Media Bits stamp set with black ink and a golden marker. Finally I've added golden, white and black splatters to the background. I distressed the pink Polaroid die-cut also with white paint, added a stamped doodle and brick wall also from the Mixed Media Bits stamp set. The focal point is the crow image from the So Weird stamp set which I stamped onto kraft cardstock and cut out using the Frame Labels die set. This time I distressed the label with white paint and pink distress crayon. The crow image was also stamped in a lighter tone on the background panel.
The sentiment is from the So Weird stamp set. Only embellishment is a decorative paperclip that finishes off my card.

On my second card I used the Floral Stairway stamp again. This time I only colored the flowers and left everything else black and white. I simple sentiment and some confetti sequins finishing off my card.

Happy Birthday Old Geezer - Whimsy Stamps New Mini Release

Hello Crafty Friends! It's March1st and that means Whimsy is releasing new Quick Card Fronts! Old Fart Grandma and Old Fart Grandpa are they called this month. In addition there is a clear stamp set called Old Fartness and a complementing Word and Shadow Die set Old Fart Geezer.

Here is my creation using the Old Fartness stamp together with the Old Fart Geezer Word and Shadow Die set. I got creative and used the stamp for a birthday card a little bit differently than intended I guess 😉

I created the background for my card with Distress Oxide inks and the 'ink-smooshing' technique. The image was colored with alcohol markers. The balloons, cake and stamped sentiment are from recently released sets (see below in link list). The black frame was cut out using two dies from the Extreme Postage nested die set.

Enjoy - Have a cool day!

Hi Everyone! Here are two more of my Whimsy creations using products from an earlier release in  January.

On this one I used the super adorable Donkey Love clear stamp set with matching outline dies. I combined it with the Polaroid and Fun with Words 1 dies and the BG is from the 6x6 Chocolate Caramel Coffee paper set. The image was water colored with Stabilo Pen 68 brush markers and the background behind the image was inked with seedless preserves distress ink. A few sequins and crystals finish off my card.

On my second card I combined the fun Polar Bear Birthday clear stamp set again with the Polaroid die. The image was again colored with Stabilo Pen 68 brush markers. In addition I used the elegant Snowflakes Border die  to add some wintery flair to my card. The BG paper is from the Blurry Flurries 6x6 pack. This time I used some confetti sequins from This Calls for Confetti to add finishing touches to my card.

Normal is Boring!

Hey folks! Here is a fun card I made with products from Whimsy Stamps February release.

I stamped these cute NEW 'So Weird' animals with different colors of ink onto mixed media paper. I colored them and cut them out.
Then I used the Harlequin Stencil and a pink ink to create some texture on my card base.
I cut out the Weird-O frame from black cardstock. The dots that are included with the Weird-O frame set were cut out from shiny pink cardstock. The sentiment and frame are from the NEW Handmade Weirdo clear stamp set. I layered and glued all parts onto the front of my cardbase and used the shiny cut out dots as embellishments.

Happy Birthday To You Friend

Happy Saturday! Today I want to share a birthday card I made using the fabulous Cupcake dies and Fun with Words 1 die set from Whimsy's January release as well as the previously released Happy Birthday Coverplate die.

My card base is a bright blue A2 top-fold card. To make the Happy Birthday Coverplate pop I cut it out from black cardstock. This is a fairly quick card to make. I cut out the cupcakes from different colored cardstock using the NEW Cupcake dies. Then I cut out the word friend with the also NEW Fun with Words die set. Instead of sequins I used a few different sized, die cut hearts that are included with the Cupcake dies set as well as the Fun with Words 1 die set.

Gnome Wishes - More Quick Card Inspiration

Hey there! I have two more cards to share using Whimsy Stamps Quick Card Fronts. Today I am showcasing the brand new Gnome Wishes Quick Card Fronts.

For my first card I opted for a green card base and a white frame cut out using the Rectangle Shaker Maker die set. I also used the heart dies included with the NEW Cupcake die to create the clover. Finally I cut out one of the included sentiments with one of the Simple Sentiment Strip dies.

My second card uses a lime green card base. I then added the Quick Card Front sheet right onto the base. I used the NEW Cupcake die set and  Simple Sentiment Strip dies again. To emphasize the gnome image and add more 3D effect I cut out the Twinkle Scribble die from lime green cardstock and placed it around the gnome. A few sparkle crystals and star cut outs finish off this quick card.

Chocolate Sweetheart - A Quick Card

Hello Everyone! Whimsy Stamps Quick Card Fronts are making creating cards easy, fast & fun! We are all busy and even as an avid card maker I don't have always the time to make elaborate cards when I need one. Or can take the time to color images. This is when Whimsy's Quick Card Fronts come in quite handy. They come in  A2 (5.5" x 4.25") size. printed on high-quality papers and toner cards. Each pack includes 8 sheets of full color designs along with 2 sheets of complementing sentiments for a total of 10 sheets per pack.

For my card I used one sheet of the Chocolate Sweetheart Quick Card Fronts. I used the Connected Hearts Frame die to create a die cut shadow effect. I die cut the included sentiment using the NEW Quick Stacks 1 die. A few sequins and sparkle gems finish off this quick card.

Yipee! - More January Release Inspiration!

Hi All! I have a fun card to share with you today! Again I used several products from January's release on my A2 sized creation. All new Whimsy products can be found HERE in the store.

The adorable image from Krista's NEW Polar Bear Birthday clear stamp set was colored with Stabilo Pen 68 waterbased markers (colors used: 11,46,47,49,58,59,87,95). I used the New Polaroid die as a frame to create a shaker element. This new die is very versatile and can be used as slimline die or it can be easily cut or folded and stacked. This way you do not have to die cut it several times. Just cut or fold on the score lines. Or just use one or more of the frames as singles. A real time saver!
The NEW Fun With Words die set coordinates perfectly with the NEW Polaroid die.
For my background panel I used a sheet of the previously released Blurry Flurries 6x6 paper pack and cut it out using the also previously released Extreme Postage die set.
The shaker card filling is from This Calls For Confetti!
