Wonky Donkey - Older Than Dirt

Image
Hi Friends! Here is another card using a stamp set from the newest Whimsy release, called Wonky Donkey by Dustin Pike. To provide the perfect setting for the card I had in mind I used the  Slimline Fancy Frame die set  and the  Comic Speech Bubble  die set  to showcase the  Wonky Donkey s. So, I had a fun video chat recently with my DT sisters Alanna and Faye and we decided to have some fun with these cute donkey s . We all used different coloring mediums to color. It is so much fun to see how different they all turned out and how you can change them up only by using a different coloring medium. Please visit my friends blogs to see their amazing creations. You can see Alanna's card  done with Copics  HERE and Faye's card done with pencils  HERE .   As for me I used watercolors. I used Dr. Ph. Hello Friends! It's Whimsy release time! There are fabulous new products in this release. One of them is the New Selfies die set I am using on my card below. I combined it with the cute Santa from the Warm Fuzzies clear set that has been released in October.  I watercolored with Mijello Gold watercolors and added some detail with F.C. Albrecht Durer pencils. I love this combination of coloring products because with the Albrecht Durer watercolor pencils you can add details and then soften it with a damp brush as you please. The background was dry embossed using the Twinkle stencil and a die cutting maching set up with a sandwich that includes one or two rubber mats. The embossing is much more pronounced in real life than it shows in the photos. Whimsy products used:                   Thanks for stopping by today! Hugs,

Elegant Ornament

Image
Good Morning!  Here is another Christmas card using NEW November products from Whimsy Stamps. On this card I used the NEW Elegant Ornaments clear stamps and NEW Elegant Ornaments die as my focal point. The background is made using the NEW  Elegant Snowflakes and Border die   as well as the NEW Twinkle Cluster stencil .  The frame and sentiment banner is from the Slimline Fancy Frame die set that has been released last month. I cut out the ornament from shiny gold cardstock and stamped and embossed the details with silver embossing powder. The snowflakes were die cut from silver cardstock and the twinkle clusters were added using iridescent Glitz glitter gel from Thermoweb. The sentiment was heat embossed with gold pearl embossing powder. Whimsy products used:                                Thanks for stopping by today! Hugs,
