You're Awesome

Are you enjoying the long weekend? Here is a slimline card I made the other day using the Bendy Borders clear stamp set from Whimsy's newest release as well as previously released stamps and dies.

For the border on top and at the bottom I used one of the border strips from the Bendy Borders clear stamp set from Whimsy Stamps July 1st release. The flowers are from the FaDoodles Flowers clear stamp set and the Scalloped Circle Frame die from last months release. I created the sentiment using the Awesome word die and the You're from the Fantabulous clear set. A few clear sequins finish off my card.

Spectacular Zen Garden Flowers

Hello Friends!

I'm here today with my last card for this month. I was inspired to do a mixed media project using the beautiful flower rubber stamp Zen Garden from Deb's stamp line at Whimsy.
I also used many other stamp and stencils available in the Whimsy store that I linked below.

Live Laugh Love - Mixed Media Tag

Hey Everyone & Happy Sunday! Welcome to my blog today where I would like to show you a mixed media tag I made using all Whimsy Stamps products. Whimsy has such a huge variety on stamps that make it easy to create in the mixed media style. My mixed media style is more on the cute side. I am not really a huge fan of the non-cute stamps and/or steampunk stamps.

One day I was browsing Pinterest and I saw a mixed media tag that inspired me to create something similar with just Whimsy products. Especially after the release of the Build a Fairy Garden die set.

Here is the link to the tag where I got my inspiration from!

I started out with a white tag cut from mixed media paper. I then covered the tag with a layer of very light pink acrylic paint. I then added some texture with structure paste and stencils (brick and honeycomb - linked below). I added color with my Gelatos and a water brush and more texture and interest to the backgound with FADoodles clear stamps and Distress Background stamps (all linked below).

The hearts and flowers were stamped and fussy cut. The other elements from the Build a Fairy Garden set were die cut and colored with Karin Markers. For the Fairies and the grass I used Distress Embossing Glaze.

The stem of the tall mushroom was drawn onto mixed media paper and cut out. I used the stem die as guide, just made it longer so it would fit perfectly on my tag. Some details were added with white gesso, black fine liners and Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle pen.

Back To School

Again a card using the fabulous NEW AlFA Doodles by Faye Wynn Jones from Whimsy Stamps - released earlier this month.

This time I did not color the letters. I stamped them with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto white cardstock and cut them out. Then I combined them with Copic colored images from the NEW Polka Dot Pals Delia clear stamp set to create my back to school card. I added a pop of color to the background using one of the papers from the NEW Birthday Celebration 6x6 paper pack

Summertime = Ice Cream Time

Hi Everyone!

Summertime = Ice Cream Time! Who doesn't love to indulge in some ice cream on a hot Summer day?! I know I do! I used the cute accessories stamps from the NEW Polka Dot Pals Kezia set to create my shaker card. The shaker frame was die cut using the NEW FADoodles Frames Scalloped Rectangles die set.

I colored the images with my Tombow ABT Pro markers and they were stamped with Memento ink onto Hammermill Digital Color Copy Cardstock 100lb. The sentiment is from the Giraffe Peeking set.

Giraffe Hello

Hello Friends!

A little late but I want to share my creations for Whimsy Stamps latest mini release. Unfortunately some pretty sad real life events kept me from doing so last week. Here is my first creation using the super adorable Giraffes Peeking stamp set illustrated by Dustin Pike and the awesome FADoodles Frames by Faye.

I stamped with Ink on 3 Blackout Hybrid Ink onto Strathmore Mixed Media Paper and colored the image using Altenew's Watercolor Brush Markers. The sentiment is included in the FADoodles Frames set as is the little flower. I stamped the little flower onto white shrink plastic to make my own little matching charm. The BG paper I've used is from the Cosmic 6x6 paper pad. A few different sized sequins in matching colors finish off my card.

Altenew Watercolor Markers used:
Sea Breeze
Rouge
Lava Rock
Paper Bag
Midnight Violet
Warm Sunshine

Other:

Inkon3 Liquid Pixie Dust
