Fairy Ariel Dressed Up for St. Paddy's Day

Image
Happy TGIF to all my crafty friends! Did you know Whimsy Stamps is having a St. Patricks Day Event going on in our FB group?    Share your St Patrick's Day predominantly 'green' creations with us featuring a Whimsy Stamps image and be in the draw for some great prizes. Please see all the details and infos HERE . Whimsy has several awesome images/stamps for this event. Of course any green colored Whimsy image will count! So this is why I picked Fairy Ariel by Marina Fedotova for my green project. The background for my card was created using a solid green paper from the Tiger DP. I love that the Whimsy DP is very high quality and has that luxurious sheen to it. The texture was created with the Messy Mesh BG stamp by Deb Davis and Versafine Clair Green Oasis stamp. I used the Notched Square die set to cut out my fairy. Ariel was colored with Copics. I gave her red hair for a nice contrast to the green and also because if I think of Irish, red

Hello Crafty Friends! Today it's back to my roots. I haven't made a shabby chic and layered card like this in ages. When I saw this cute fairy by Marina Fedotova I knew instantly that she will be colored with distress inks and put on a shabby chic card with lots of layers and die cuts. Here is how it turned out: The adorable fairy is called 'Angel Celeste' and I colored her with distress inks (see list of colors used below). The sentiment is the NEW Thanks Word and Shadow die . Both the fairy and the word die are available in the store now. The leaf die cuts I used to decorate my card are from the Leaf Foliage2 die set and from the Christmas Branches die set. I also added lots of flowers from my stash, metal embellishemnts and cheesecloth.  To complete the look I've sponged some of the paper layers, die cuts and flowers with white gesso, added different shaped pearl embellishments and  Stardust Stickles .  Here is a list of dist

Hello Everyone! My creation today shows one of the super cute Marina Fedotova fairies available at Whimsy Stamps in red rubber. She is called Anna the Fairy . This card was published in the Making Cards magazine November 2018 issue, including instructions on how to make this card, in which Whimsy Stamps had a special feature.  I wont be sharing any details this time on how I made this card to not infringe with any of the magazines copyrights/rules. But I can tell you that I used distress markers to color this cutie as well as the sentiment is from the You're my Jolly sentiment set also available in the store. I also used different Whimsy dies available in the store. I have listed all Whimsy products I used below with direct links to the Whimsy store. On my card today I am showcasing one of the newly released Marina Fedotova Christmas fairies -  NEW Christmas Sprite .  Isn't she adorable? She is definitely one of my favorites from this release! I colored Christmas Sprite primarily with Copics but added some details with pencils afterwards (a list of all Copics and pencils used is below). I kept the card simple. I didn't want to draw the attention away from this sweet image. Besides some snowflakes made with  Nuvo Crystal Drops Simply White  I only added 3 die cut evergreen trees. I thought they complement the image perfectly. They were die cut using the NEW Evergreen Tree Dies Se
