Merry Claw-mas - Whimsy Stamps October 10th Release

Hey Crafty Friends! Here is a Christmas card I made with products from Whimsy Stamps October 10th release!

On my slimline card I used the NEW Santa Claws clear stamp set illustrated by Dustin Pike together with the NEW Slimline Banner die. I colored the images with Stabilo 68 water based brush markers and cut them out them with the coordinating outline dies which are available separately. The slimline banner die was die cut from gold and white glitter paper and layered on top of each other.
The stars I've added are actually leftovers from another card I did last month and where laying around on my craft desk. I inked them up with matching gold yellow colors and sprinkled them with golden paint. The background paper I used is from the Slimline Champagne paper pack. My sentiment is a combination of the Merry large word die together with the word Claws-Mas that is included in Santa Claws set. To create some texture I've added Stardust Stickles and 3D Gloss to the images and some Confetti Sequins from This Calls For Confetti

YAY! - Back To School!

Hey stamping friends! I am combining three newly released (August 1st) Whimsy Stamps products on my card as well as a shaker pouch and a pearl mix from This Calls For Confetti

This cute and funny Dragon image is from Whimsy's exclusive Dustin Pike collection and I combined it with the YAY! word and shadow die as well as the Pink Plaid 6x6 papers. All the products are from August releases and brand new available in the Whimsy store!
After I finished coloring my images with Karin Brush Markers Pro I decided it would look awesome to include a shaker element on my card.
My friend Lisa the owner of This Calls For Confetti has awesome options for shaker pouches and fillings in her store! I went with a cute heart shaker pouch and the Citrus Berry Diamond Pearl Mix.
A few confetti sequins in matching colors finish off my card.

Celebrate - The Robotic Way

Happy Saturday Crafty Friends! Its a slightly cooler morning here on the Space Coast and we are enjoying the pleasant temperatures. We had the day off yesterday and are enjoying a 4-day weekend! Woohoo! I was so looking forward to that and to spending some relaxing crafty time in my studio.
Ok but now without further ado here is my first Whimsy creation for today.

I adore these cute little robots 😍 from the 'Robots' clear stamp set illustrated by Dustin Pike and exclusively available at Whimsy Stamps. My images were colored using my Art-n-Fly alcohol marker.
I combined the  Robots clear stamp set with the Celebrate Balloons clear stamp set from Whimsy's Barbara Sproatmeyer colletcion and the Peekaboo Window 5 die.

Happy Friends Day - Whimsy Stamps New Release

Happy Sunday Crafty Friends! The new release hit the Whimsy Stamps  store shelves yesterday and it's all about Summer & Celebration! 🌞🌞🌞 As a Florida resident of course this NEW Beach Babes Flamingo clear stamp set was right up my alley 🦩🦩🦩.

I colored the image using Karin Brush Markers and a waterbrush. I created the water splash background using the Puddles stencil. The Weird-O Frame that was released earlier this month was used to frame the image. I cut out the frame in black and pink and layered it with pink on top. This gives a bit more depth as you can see the black on the edges of the frame. The sentiment, which is included with the clear stamp set, was stamped with white pigment ink onto black cardstock and also heat embossed in white.
I used Clear Dew Drops from This Calls For Confetti to embellish my card.

Robotic Birthday Hugs

Hey Friends! I had to use one of these cute new Robots again and pair it with the awesome new Happy Birthday Coverplate. I just love this die. It is so versatile. You can just use part of it and combine it with other stamps and dies or for a really quick card use the die as is and just add a colorful background. In this case here for the card I only needed the birthday part.

I combined it with the word hugs from the Big Hugs Word Die Set to create the sentiment. I colored the robot with my Art-n-Fly markers and Prisma pencils. I airbrushed the background and added some matching paint splatters. Some sequins and dew drops add the finishing touch to my card.

Beep Beep - I think I miss you!

Hi friends! It's all about Robots with one of the the stamp sets I am showcasing today. It is release day at Whimsy Stamps and I had so much fun creating with the new products. Please read below about the products I've combined on my card and what I used to color my images. I was trying out two new coloring mediums I recently acquired.

I combined three newly released products on my card today. First is this adorable sitting robot from the NEW Robots clear stamp set by Dustin Pike. The balloons and matching die cuts are from the NEW Celebrate Balloons clear stamp set and NEW Celebrate Balloons Outline die set.
For the background I used the NEW Peekaboo Window 5 die and a sheet of the Comics 6x6 paper pack from an earlier release. The sentiment is included with the robots stamp set and I cut it out using the Simple Sentiment Strips die set. I also decided to turn one of the balloons into a shaker element and used the largest heart die from the Gothic die set.

For the shaker filling I used products from This Calls For Confetti

I recently splurged a bit and bought a few new markers. I bought the Art-n-Fly alcohol brush markers. They have a brush nib on one end and a chisel nib on the other. I bought several of their sets.

I also bought the Stabilo Pen 68 water based ink markers in their original version (full set, bullet nib) and brush version (full set).

Please note: I purchased these markers with my own money. My review about these markers is my honest opinion and was not in any way affect by a free sample!

Art-n-Fly:

The robot image was stamped onto Strathmore 400 series mixed media paper and colored with my Art-n-Fly alcohol markers. It's the first time I used these markers and I was pleasantly surprised. Their brush nib is not too soft and has a nice spring to it and it's beautiful to color with. The markers are very juicy and the inks blend wonderfully even on the mixed media paper. I did some research about these markers and what I was able to find out on the internet is (no guarantee though!) that the brush nibs and inks are from Japan - which usually stands for high quality. The markers are made in the US, another good thing, and they are refillable - yay! The company is still expanding the collection, which is good because there are still missing some colors in the color groups to give a nice blend. This is not a real problem for me as I can combine them easily with other alcohol markers I have. Price wise these are very affordable with about $1.70 if you buy a 48 marker set. The only thing for me to complain about at the moment is their numbering system. Doesn't make much sense. But once you make your own swatch chart this is not a problem anymore.

Stabilo Pen 68 Brush:

The ballons were also stamped onto mixed media paper and colored using my also new Stabilo Pen 68 Brush pens. These are waterbased markers.
I know Stabilo from Germany and the company is from the area where I grew up so we were using Stabilo markers and pens all the time. I never thought about using Stabilo pens and markers for my crafting. But I saw a youtube video recently where a fellow crafter used these pens (the regular Pen 68 not the brush version) to color an image. It was so beautiful and the colors were so bright and the pens appeared to be wonderfully juicy. It was tempting and knowing the brand and that they wont dry out easily even without cap on for a full hour.....what shall I say... I caved and bought the full sets of both versions. Whereas the brush version only comes in a 30 color set compared to the regular set (b)ullet nibs) with 65 colors.
After coloring in the balloons I know now that I am not regretting to have bought these markers. They are fantastic. Super juicy with a very bright and radiant ink. I used a water brush to blend them out and they leave no marks and blend out completely. Even after blending out to white the colors are still vibrant.
