Whimsy Stamps New Release - Meme FYI

Image
Hey Friends , guess what! It's release time at Whimsy Stamps again. Like every 10 days we're having a new mini-release in the store .   Here is my card with some of the new stamps combined with previously released dies. I started out by stamping the NEW WTF Background Stamp onto light blue cardstock with Versafine Clair Warm Breeze. I cut it to 5 1/4" x 4" and layered it on top of a white, topfold, portrait A2 size card base. I then stamped the image and sentiment from the NEW Meme FYI   onto white Hammermill 100lb cardstock. I fussy cut the image and die cut the sentiment with one of the Speech Bubbles die set. I decided to leave the image uncolored. I wanted it to match the sentiment and large word and make everything really stand out from the blue background. The L arge Word and Shadow die UGH!  was also cut out from white Hammermill 100lb cardstock. The UGH! shadow has been cut out from black cardstock. I also cut out another speechbubble from black cardstoc

Slimline Pocket Birthday Card

Hey Fellow Papercrafters! Today I have another slimline card to share using the NEW  Slimline Scalloped Edge Pocket Die Set together with the previously released Slimline Pillows die , Slimline Vertical Sentiments and Bookmark and Tags die set. I chose only two bold colors for my slimline card - black and lime green. I think they work perfectly together as are the NEW Slimline St. Patrick's Day papers which I used for my background. The pocket is created very easily with the  Slimline Scalloped Edge Pocket Die  and can also be used as gift card holder in addition to the tag I made. Decorating the pocket is easy with the included butterfly die.  I cut the large tag from the  Bookmark and Tags  die set from vellum paper and stamped the sentiment from the  Slimline Vertical Sentiments  with Black Stazon Pigment Ink. A matching chiffon ribbon and some pearls added to the butterflies are finishing off my card. Whimsy products used: Hugs,

Fairies and Gnomes - Whimsy Stamps February 10th Mini Release

Image
Happy Wednesday and Welcome to another Whimsy Stamps Mini Release!   This time I am visiting the magical world of fairies and gnomes and with the newly released Whimsy products its easy to create this magical fairy garden on my card. To create my card I started out by making a horizontal top-fold slimline card which is 3.5 x 8.5 inches in size. I then chose one of the new Slimline Enchanted Forest Papers  as my background.  The frame on top is the Slimline Waves die, cut from white glitter paper. I then used the Build a Fairy Garden die set to create the scene.  I die cut the mushrooms from mixed media and glitter paper and colored all non glittery parts with Copic markers. The little fairy was die cut from green glitter paper. I used the fairy dust die to create a stencil for applying matching green glitter.  The cute gnome couple is from the Gnome One Like You clear stamp set as is the sentiment. The image was colored with Copics as well. Some die cut butterflies from vellum

Lucky Ducky Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends! It's challenge time again. Together with my friends Alanna and Faye we challenged each other to create a card using the cute Lucky Ducky clear stamp set from Whimsy's most recent release. Each of us is using a different coloring medium. It is so much fun to see what everyone creates. We did this before with the  Wonky Donkey  clear set and had such a fun time so we decided we want to do it again. It was my turn to use Copics this time. Alanna is using pencils and Faye watercolors. Please visit my friends blogs and see their awesome creations with this fun clear set. Alannas Lucky Ducky Card  &   Faye's Lucky Ducky Card .
