Hello and welcome to Day 5 of our May Rubber & Die Release Showcase! On Wednesday (23 May) Whimsy Stamps released this month's new rubber designs and new Shapeology dies. From then until 29 May the Whimsy Stamps DT and Special Guests are showcasing these fabulous new goodies with a daily mini blog hop and I am part of today’s hop! So here's my creation with the super cute 'Teeny Mouse Hugs' from Whimsy's Meljens Design Collection: The cute couple was colored using my Copics. I've added lots of Stickles 'Icicle' and 'Stardust' for some bling, I just can't do a card without it ;-) I kept the card on the simpler side to show off the wonderful new Whimsy Double Scallop Doily die . It also fits perfectly with your largest classic circle nestie from Spellbinders. That's what I used to cut out my image and layered it onto the doily. But the doily is also large enough to stamp your image right into the middle part.  The

Sweet Little Donkey

Image
Hello Everyone & Happy Tuesday! Today I have another card to share that was published in the Whimsy Inspirational Magazine - April Issue .  This adorable little donkey is a Meljens rubber stamp available HERE in the Whimsy store. In our last  issue of the Whimsy Inspirational Magazine we, the staff designers, were challenged to case one of our fabulous talented DT sisters: Simonne Clay . So this card was inspired by this creation from Simonne. The DP I've used is from Lily Bee Designs and the coloring was done with Copics. Sentiment is from Raindrop Echo Designs 'Circle Postmarks' and the corner dies are from the Shapeology collection. Both available in the Whimsy store . Please make sure to come back here on Wednesday for some Whimsy news and a new creation ..... psssst, a new release is just right around the corner ;-) Hugs,

Golden Wedding Anniversary!

To enter the 'Whimsy Birthday Party Hop' please -click here- ************************************* Hello Everyone! Tomorrow my parents are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary! :) Wow what a long time together and the best thing, they are still happy and love each other like on the first day!! :-D The card I'm showing today is on it's way to them and touching ground there on Friday...just right in time ;-) (Thanks Micha xx :) ) I tried the vintage shabby chic look with all the 'white stuff' on there. I was inspired by my former DT sister and friend Kathy , she has a great tutorial for that on her blog HERE . As well as by Tracy and her recent article on the MIC blog HERE . AND I finally bought the 'Distrezz it All' from Zutter. Yeah! I was contemplating about it for quite a while now and on Monday it arrived at my door steps :). I have to say I LOVE it! So much easier and soooo quick because you can distress all the papers at once

Angie's Birthday Greetings

Image
Happy Monday All! Today I want to show you a card I made for the Whimsy Inspirational Magazine - April Issue . The theme was layered and embellished. The cute little angel girl sitting on the cloud is from Wee stamps and called 'Angie' . And as always are these Wee rubbers available through Whimsy. The DP I've used is from an older Basic Grey collection called 'Two Scoops'. I really love this collection but unfortunately I'm almost out of it. The sentiment is from Raindrop Echo Designs 'Celebration Circle Pennants' and cut out with the matching 'Circle Pennant' dies.  The star is chipboard covered with DP and I've added white paint and glitter. The cherry blossoms and sweet flowers are Whimsy Buds . All other embellishments are from my stash. Here's a closer look on the cute Angie: I've added Stickles to her wings and the stars to give the image some bling. Thanks for stopping by and visiting my little

Look Hoo's Graduating.....

Image
Hello Friends and Happy Wednesday! Today we have 'Review Day' at Whimsy Stamps. You can find awesome new inspirational cards using the new April release stamps and dies on the Whimsy blog. Created by the fabulous Whimsy DT! Please click HERE to see them all out For my card I used this cute little grad owl called 'Look Hoo's Graduating' : I colored him using Copics (E40, E41, E42, E43, E44, E30, E31 for the feathers - C9, C7, C5, C3, C1, C00 for his grad hat - reds R39, R37, R35, R14, R12 and YR30, YR31, YR21 for his eyes)  and used a Prisma pencil (non-photo blue) for the outline and underneath his feet (french grey 90%).  DP is from Basic Grey. I kept the card intentionally more simple so it can be used for boys and girls. For the shaped card base I used Spellbinders Labels 1 grand dies. After cutting and embossing I distressed the cardstock with a sanding block. I got this idea from my super talented DT-teamie Beate . She does this a lot on her car
