Image
Hello everyone and welcome to Day 4 of our April Rubber & Die Release Showcase! On Wednesday (18 April) Whimsy Stamps released this month's new rubber designs and new Shapeology dies. From then until 24 April the Whimsy Stamps DT and Special Guests are showcasing these fabulous new goodies with a daily mini blog hop and I am part of today’s hop! And here is the showcase creation I made for today's mini hop using Goldie from Wee stamps. I thought I do her name justice and colored her fishtail golden :-) I also wanted to give her hair a different color...something else then red or blonde what's usually used for mermaids hair.... so I picked turquoise to have a nice contrast to the gold! And of course all the coloring was done with Copics. The sentiment is also from the new release called 'Everyday Sayings Notables 4' and was cut out with the matching die Notables 4 . The chandelier garland and the sweet blossoms are from the Whimsy Buds section i

Spring is in the air - BnW Challenge

Image
Happy Monday Everyone and welcome to another Belles 'n Whistles Challenge ! Lynda is our host today and the theme this month is 'Spring is in the air...'   So we want to see all your Spring inspired creations! For my challenge creation this month I choose to make a clean and simple card. The sweet image I used is called 'Planting Some Love' and is from the SweetArt Girls II collection available HERE . It's a bit different this time as I did not color my image! I just stamped it onto yellow cardstock using Versamark ink and then embossed it with super fine detailed black embossing powder. A little dry embossing for a border, some punched out small butterflies a few pearls and some Stickles 'Stardust' to finish it up. I did not add a sentiment so I can use it for different occasions. This card was quickly made and can also be easily mass produced for invitations, thank you cards, etc. I hope you like my take on the challenge the

Happy TGIF Everyone! - even if it is Friday the 13th! ;-) Are you all ready for the weekend? I know I am! Looking forward to soaking in some sun, relaxing, reading and also some craft time :-) Ok onto my card now...today I have another Heartfelt Creation card for you... I used the following stamp sets and dies for this card: Twining Clematis stamp set HCPC 3454, Malabar Clematis stamp set HCPC 3453 and Cross and Lilies Die set HCD 719. All of these are available through Dutch Paper Crafts ! You'll find ordering instructions in almost every post at the very end! It's as easy as writing an email!!! The embossed background is a Tim Holtz embossing folder from Sizzix and I distressed it with Distress Ink 'Pumice Stone' to give it a washed out stoney look. Ribbon, pearls, flower and metall embellishments are from my stash. The rose leave punch is from Nellie Snellen and also available at Dutch Paper Crafts This photo shows the card from a different

Belated Happy Easter!

Hello all! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter! My project I want to share with you today is Easter themed too and was published in Whimsy's Inspirational Magazine #7  here . In the magazine you will also find a tutorial I made on how to make this paper mache egg! The stamp I used is called Easter Bunny from Whimsy's Wee stamp collection and I colored it with Copic markers. Flowers are all from my stash as are the ribbons. The sentiment I found on Netty's blog it was a freebie. And here's a look on the complete little scene: Thanks for visiting me today and have a great week! Luv 'n hugs, Iris
