Get Well Soon!

Image
Hey friends! Check out the newest release from Whimsy Stamps 💖 There are so many awesome products! Here is some inspiration using several of the new products: I combined the cute NEW Panda Get Well Stamp set and matching No Fuss Masks (sold seperately) with the NEW Get Well Soon Word and Shadow die. In addition I also used the earlier released Slimline Big BooBoo die set and Harlequin stencil. Here is a closer look on the images and background. I stamped the images onto kraft mixed media paper with Versafine Clair Nocturn ink. I then used the No-Fuss Masks to cover the Pandas to create my background. I used the Harlequin Stencil and Bundles Sage oxide ink and added sprinkles with black and white acrylic paint. After removing the No-Fuss Masks I colored the Pandas using watercolor markers (Staedtler and Ohuhu). The Whimsy DT is celebrating our wonderful boss and Whimsy Stamps Owner Denise Lynn's birthday today! Happy Birthday Day Denise and thank you for everything you do!  There is also a new release in the store that hit the shelves yesterday! The cute sloth image on my card is one of the newly released stamp sets and called 'NEW Sloth Moments'. I also used the 'NEW Sloth Moments No-Fuss-Masks' as well as other Whimsy products. Please scroll down for a full link list of all products used. The sloth image was stamped onto mixed media paper with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. I then masked the image with the matching No-Fuss-Masks to create my background. I colored the cute sloth image with watercolors and pencils. The background was inked with distress oxide  inks (mermaid lagoon, mowed lawn and twisted citron). I added some texture by spritzing the inked background with water. To add even more interest I stamped it with the Postmarks background  and Versamark ink and cl

Hello Beautiful ~ No-Line Watercoloring

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Tuesday! I have a cute card to share today where I am using the adorable Bunnies in the Garden stamp set from  Whimsy Stamps '  Crissy Armstrong Collection. It is a rather simple card where I put the focus on the images and the no-line watercolor technique. I first stamped the cute bunny image onto Strathmore 400 Series Mixed Media paper using a very light colored ink (I used Altenew Crisp Ink in Vanilla) . Then I used the coordinating No-Fuss Masks to cover my stamped image before stamping the FaDoodle Blooms in the background with the same ink. I used my ink based Karin Brush Marker Pro pens to color the images in the no-line watercolor technique. Usually I like to use a waterbrush together with the Karin markers but with the no-line technique I prefer a regular brush (I Used an Escoda round, size 2 brush). After I was done coloring I put the no-fuss mask back over the bunny image before sprinkling black and gold paint all over the images. Then

Bunnies in the Garden - Whimsy Stamps March Release

Hi Crafty Friends! Welcome on my blog and to Whimsy Stamps March 2024 release. All the products are now live in the store. Here is a link to all new products from March including this release: March 2024 products Here is my release inspiration using the super cute Bunnies in the Garden clear stamp set illustrated by the amazingly talented Crissy Armstrong for Whimsy Stamps. There are also matching No-Fuss-Masks available for this set and matching outline dies.  To create my scene I first stamped the images onto a panel of mixed media paper. I also used the No Fuss Masks to overlap some of the images and also to ink the background with Distress Oxide Inks. These masks are such a time saver, no more time-consuming fussy cutting. They fit perfectly and also stay in place while inking.  I water colored the images with Stabilo Pen 68 markers and added depth and some details using Caran D'ache Luminance pencils. To complete my scene I die cut different elements from the Slimli
