Momas Julhyacint - Christmas Hyacinth

How about some freshly bloomed flowers in bright colors with a heavenly scent? Do you grow Christmas Hyacinths? When I was a kid my mom always started them in September so they would be in full bloom around Christmas time. The hyacinth bulbs where sitting in - actually on top of - special bowls full of water. I remember she used special paper cones in bright colors to cover the bulbs during the first weeks.

My favorite hyacinth color always was violet. When I saw this beautiful Hyacinth image, called Julhyacint from Momas lil' shop of stamps I knew I gonna color it in violet shades. It's available as digital stamp.

Another CAS card here. I colored using Derwent Inktense pencils. I love the brilliant intense colors of these ink-like watercolor pencils and the fact that they are permanent when dry. Also that they can be used in both ways, with and without water! I used them as watercolor pencils.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Sunday!

Xmas Stocking

Hello Everyone and Happy Tuesday! Wow can you believe it we are already 5 days into November! Only a little over 3 weeks until Thanksgiving and then Christmas is right around the corner....  How are you doing with your Christmas cards? Already made all the ones you need?

The card I want to show you today is made using one of Moma's gorgeous Christmas stamps called 'Julstrumpa' which translates to Christmas Stocking. It is available as a digital stamp HERE. Monika has lots of beautiful digital Christmas and flower images in her shop. Make sure to visit her HERE!

Isn't it so cute? I had so much fun coloring this gorgeous stocking with my new Graph'It markers! I'll list all the colors I used with the next photo. The DP I've used is from Basic Grey and the die cuts are from Memory Box. The sentiment is from Whimsy stamps' 'Holiday Mini Letter Seals'.

Here's a close-up on the cute image and also all the Graph'It marker colors I've used:

Red: 5250, 5220, 5210, 9305, 9303
White: 9100, 9101, 9103
Green: 8180, 8270, 8120, 8110
Teal: 7110, 7120, 7140, 7160, 7170

The Graph'It markers are not available in the US yet BUT you get Free Shipping Worldwide on all orders over £10 at Polkadoodles!

I made an easel card and on the inside I used the beautiful Choo Choo Train Border Die from Whimsy.

And like almost all of my cards it comes with it's own custom made box. The box was decorated with the Choo Choo Train Border Die as well.

Finally I found the time to re-open my Etsy shop. So this card along with several others are now available in my Etsy Boutique Delightful Card Design!

Thanks for visiting me today

World Cardmaking Day - Momas Christmas Rose

Happy World Cardmaking Day!  I'll be working the whole weekend on my magazine creations for the next Whimsy Inspirations Magazine. But I made a card earlier with one of the new gorgeous stamps from Momas lil' shop of stamps called 'Julros med kulor'  (Christmas Rose with Ball Ornaments).

All the new images Monika drew are so gorgeous and perfect for your holiday card creations! You can see them all HERE. I colored the image with Copics and Prisma pencils. I cut out the image and adhered it to an airbrushed circle to make it pop. The sentiment stamp is from Whimsy's Holiday Notables 2 and cut out using the Notables 2 die. The background is made with a cuttle bug embossing folder. I used a brayer to ink the folder before embossing with Rich Cocoa Memento ink.

I also added Glossy Accents to the ball ornaments to make them shine and give them a glass like look.

Whimsy stamps is having a World Cardmaking Day  - Blog Hop, with a fantastic rubber stamp prize pack! You can hop along until Monday! So what are you waiting for, see all the details and start hopping HERE

Happiness & some DT News

Hello Everyone and Happy TGIF! I have some exciting news to share with you today :-) I was asked by the super talented artist and owner of Moma's lil' shop of stamps, Monika Martinson,  if I would like to join her design team. Yay! How exciting and of course I said yes. Monika draws the most beautiful flower designs. I already knew her images from my DT work for Whimsy stamps.  If you like to work with beautiful flower images Moma's lil' shop of stamps is the perfect place for you, believe me!

Here is a card I made with the beautiful Rudbäckia, availabe in rubber and also as  digital stamp:

Isn't this 'Black-Eyed Susan' image gorgeous? I colored with Copics and kept the card in a CAS style. Papers are from my scrap stash and the border is made using a Martha Stewart  border punch.

The sentiment is stamped with Staz-on onto vellum paper. Sentiment is from SU!

The cards inside is decorated to match the card front.

I also made a matching envelope using my envelope punch board.
