Everyone can enter and it starts today at noon EST here on my blog! So make sure you come back here at noon to enter my Whimsy Wednesday Surprise Candy Giveaway! Ok onto to my card for today! Wednesday means also it is time for another Pixie Cottage Challenge! This week the theme is Flowers and of course a sketch. You'll find the sketch at the Pixie Cottage Challenge blog  as well as all the details for entering the challenge!

This will be my last card as a guest for the Pixie Cottage Challenge. I had so much fun playing along for the month of January! Big thank you goes to Michelle the owner of the Pixie Cottage and Katie the Dt-Leader. Thanks for having me!

For my card I used Little Chick and Little Lamb by Alisa Ramirez. So super cute!!! I colored with my Copics and the DP is from Basic Grey. I decided to keep the card clean and simple. With only the ribbon and the button and of course some flowers as embellishments. The sketch I used is from Mojo Monday. And I think it turned out pretty well. What do you all think?

Here are some more photos:

I used my favorite paper for coloring with Copics and that is Curious Iridescent Cryogen White. I adore the sparkle that it has. If you click on the picture to enlarge it you should be able to see the shimmer.

I also finished the inside

I'll be back at 12 pm (noon) EST to post my Whimsy 24 hour candy so make sure
to come back later again to enter!!

The Pixie Cottage Wednesday Challenge - Love

Hello fellow crafters and welcome to another Pixie Cottage Challenge! It's round three for me as GDT for the Pixie Cottage Challenge. This weeks theme is LOVE! How perfect with Valentines Day just around the corner! When I saw this stamps I knew it would be perfect for Valentine, it's called Valentine Hannah by Sandra Hammer.

I decided to make an Easel-Card this time. I colored Hannah using Copics. The DP is from Basic Grey. Sentiments are from Whimsy (Love Letter Seal) and Magnolia. Dies & Punches I used are from Spellbinders, Magnolia and MS, EK Success and Marianne Design. Flowers and all other embellies are from my stash.

And because it is always difficult to fit easel cards into envelopes I made a matching box for the card. When I had all that done I thought how nice it would be to have a matching smaller box for a little gift or some candy to go with the card. And this is the set:

To decorate the heart on the box I used the Music Note stamp from Whimsy. And the CS behind the heart is embossed with a CB folder. It's hard to see on the photo.

The sentiment on the small box is from SU!

Come and join us in this fun LOVE challenge over at The Pixie Cottage Challenge Blog! There are always jummy prices for a randomly picked winner and the DT will pick the Top 3 as well!

Have a wonderful rest of the week all!

The Pixie Cottage Wednesday Challenge - Coloring

Hello friends and welcome to another 'Upon a Wednesday Challenge' from the Pixie Cottage! It is my second Wednesday today as a guests designer for The Pixie Cottage. This week we want you to use your favorite coloring technique and also have a sketch for you if you like using sketches! You can use both, the technique and the sketch or either one.

For my GDT card I used Pepe Le Penguin as Le Chef by Alisa Ramirez. And as I have actually 3 favorite coloring methods (Copics, Distress Inks and Pencils) I used two of them on my  image. I colored  Pepe using pencils and OMS and also did some Copic airbrushing. The sentiment is from Whimsy's Birthday Letter Seals. DP is from Basic Grey's Marakesh collection. Flowers ribbon and lace is from my stash. I used Spellbinder dies, EK Sucess punch and a Marianne Design swirly leaf die. I cut the swirly leaves out using orqange CS and then colored the tips using the Copic airbrush system and a little darker orange. For a final touch I added some fine glitter "Fire Opal" from Martha Stewart.

I also decorated the inside with matching papers and added a the swirly leaves again. They are fabulous I just love all the Marianne Design dies.

I made this card for a friends birthday and I hope she likes it. It's on the way to it's destination right now. I also used this weeks sketch at Friday's Sketchers.

For all challenge details and to enter please visit The Pixie Cottage Challenge Blog HERE. And while you there make sure to check all the wonderful work the DT has done this week!

Thanks for taking the time and visiting me and if you leave a comment it will definitely brighten my day! :-)

Guest DT Pixie Cottage Challenge - Punches

Welcome to my blog today and thanks for stopping by! Today is the first of  4 Wednesdays this month for me being a Guest Designer over at the Pixie Cottage Challenge blog for the 'Once upon a Wednesday' Challenge! I already mentioned earlier that I was asked by Michelle, the owner of 'The Pixie Cottage' if I like to be a GD for a month and of course my answer was yes :-) Thanks Michelle for this opportunity! Michelle has an absolutely adorable and very versatile line of stamps and so many more other goodies in her store. If you haven't paid her store a visit yet, you should check it out now, click right HERE.

Onto this weeks challenge now. The theme is 'Punches'. That's easy isn't it? So why not joining in our challenge then?! For all details on the challenge and how to enter please click here.

This cutie is called Pretty in Pink by Alisa Ramirez and you'll find her in the Pixie Cottage Store HERE. I colored her using pencils and OMS and for some bling and dimension I've added Fun Flock mixed with silver glitter and Stickles Star Dust to her coat and shoes. Punches & dies I used are from MS, Punch Bunch, EK Success, Tim Holtz  and Whimsy. Flowers are from Prima and DP is from My Minds Eye.

Here you can see all the added glitter and fun flock! The shading around the image was done using Copics.

I am also entering this card into this weeks challenge over at Stamp Something - Glittery!

Have a wonderful creative day!

What's cooking?

Happy Wednesday all! It's already the middle of the week...whew time is flying. Are yuou ready for the holidays yet? Well I'm so looking forward to them and the time before Christmas, my absolute favorite time of the year! I am also still in the middle of finishing Christmas cards. But inbetween it is so nice to make a different card like the one I can show you today. It's a birthday card and the image I used is from The Pixie Cottage called "Pepe the Penguin as Le Chef"!  Isn't he soooooooooo cute?

I also have some news to share. Michelle Offenberger the owner of The Pixie Cottage Stamps asked me if I would like to be a guest designer for one month for The Pixie Cottage. What an honor and of course I gladly accepted! So I am a GDT for the month of January :-) YAY! For my GDT work Michelle sent me some stamps from her stamp line (my choice) and this cute little Penguin is one of the stamps I chose. And even if it is not my month yet as a GDT I am allowed to use the stamps already (thanks Michelle!!!) and I was dieing to use this little Penguin. So look forward to January and you'll see some more Pixie Cottage cuties here at my blog :-) Ok onto my card now:

I made and easel card and the image 'Pepe the Penguin as Le Chef' is colored using  Copics and I added a nice shimmer to his belly using Twinkling H2O's. The DP is from The Gooseberry Patch called Christmas Gingham and 7Gypsies Avignon Paper: Orchestra.

Here you can see the nice shimmer on his belly. I used Heavenly White from the Twinkling H2O's

A closer look on the inside. I got the idea with the tag from Rach. She did that on a few easel cards and I really liked it! The sentiment is by SU! and the punche I used is from EK Success (fern leave) and the flower die is from Marianne Design. I get my Marianne Design dies HERE

The leave die comes together with the flower die I used on the inside (Marianne Design). To match the gingham paper I used a similar gingham ribbon. And the music note I've added is a brad.

Ok that's it for today I guess.
Thanks for stopping by and I 'll be back with another project tomorrow!
Have a great Wednesday!
Hugs,
