Winter Friends,Graph'It Markers & a First Try!

Image
Happy Saturday to you all! Today I have another new Whimsy Wee image to share. and also some DT news. :-) I already shared the news on FB last week so some of you may already know ...I made the Graph'It Marker UK DT - WOOHOOO!! I still can't believe my luck. I officially start on November 1st and my first DT package already arrived this week. I could not resist to start playing. For me it's a bit of a change and I need to get used to these markers as they come with a bullet nib. But there is now also a brush nib available.... that's great news! The brush nib will replace the chisel nib which then gives you a marker with both bullet and brush nib - perfect!!  Can't wait to order me some. But even with the bullet nib I had so much fun coloring with these markers. They are very juicy and blend beautifully. Right now they are only available in the UK and France BUT if you order them at Polkadoodles.com you'll receive free worldwide shipping (over

Circle of Friends Blog Hop - For Bev!

Image
Hi everyone and welcome to our Circle of Friends blog hop especially for our dear DT member and friend Bev Rochester Unfortunately, Bev has had to take a little break from crafting over the past few months due to ill health. We are missing her here at Whimsy and want to let her know that we are thinking about her and wishing her a speedy recovery. Even though the Whimsy family is scattered all around the world, we have come together as a circle of friends to show Bev our love and support by each making her a card. Although this hop is for Bev, we do hope you will hop along with us to support our wonderful teammate and friend. If you arrived here from  Heidy 's blog , then you are in the right place! If you’ve happened upon this post by chance and would like to hop with us, hop on over to the Whimsy Stamps blog to begin the hop.  For my creation, I decided to ink up 'Sweet Little Donkey' from Meljen's Designs: This cutie was colored using C

World Cardmaking Day - Momas Christmas Rose

Image
Happy World Cardmaking Day!   I'll be working the whole weekend on my magazine creations for the next Whimsy Inspirations Magazine. But I made a card earlier with one of the new gorgeous stamps from Momas lil' shop of stamps called 'Julros med kulor'   (Christmas Rose with Ball Ornaments). All the new images Monika drew are so gorgeous and perfect for your holiday card creations! You can see them all HERE . I colored the image with Copics and Prisma pencils. I cut out the image and adhered it to an airbrushed circle to make it pop. The sentiment stamp is from Whimsy's Holiday Notables 2 and cut out using the Notables 2 die . The background is made with a cuttle bug embossing folder. I used a brayer to ink the folder before embossing with Rich Cocoa Memento ink.  I also added Glossy Accents to the ball ornaments to make them shine and give them a glass like look. ************** Whimsy stamps is having a World Cardmaking Da
