Peachy Keen GD Week, Day 5 - Purple Joy

Image
Hello Everyone & Happy Friday! Unfortunately this is my last day as a Peachy Keen GD. I wanted to thank all of you for leaving me the kindest comments here and on the Peachy Keen blog as well as all the support. It made me really feel special! Thank you also to the fabulous Peachy Keen DT and Kathy the owner of PK for this wonderful opportunity! Thank you ALL! My card for today is a bit different from the ones I posted during the week so far. It's in a more clean & simple style and this time I  used Distress Inks for coloring.  It's again that sweet bird stamp "Happy Bird and phrases" . The sentiment I used is one of the phrases that come with the stamp. I stamped the image onto 300g / 140lb hot press water color paper using Archival Ink - Jet Black. Then I colored using Distress Inks (Milled Lavender, Concord Grape, Weathered Wood, Rusty Hinges - Walnut Stain to deepen the shadows) and also Twinkling H2O's on the belly for some shimmer

Peachy Keen GD Week, Day 4 - Swim Time

Image
Hello all and welcome to Day 4 of my Peachy Keen GD week !   Ok going from Christmas right back to Summer where we belong :-) My project today shows Lulee's Swim Time (PK-780 Lulee's Swim Time) on a fancy fold card. Again I colored Lulee with my Copics and on her fins I used the feather blending technique. I also received a few emails asking what paper and ink I use. When coloring with Copics I always use Memento dye ink pads for stamping the image. And as far as it comes to the paper for coloring with Copics: Curious Metallic Cryogen White is my all time favorite. Papers are from Scrapbook.com 'Softly Summer 2' collection. Flowers are from my stash and punches and dies used are from MS, Spellbinders and Marianne Design. I also like to use spacers with the brads when using them as flower centers. Makes them more pop. Close-up on the image: As I mentioned above this is a fancy fold card. I used a little velcro dot to hold it shut. The insid

So I brought my self in an early Christmas mood and made my first Christmas card for this season :-D The stamp I used is called Ginger Bite (PK-403 Ginger Bite) and I colored as usual with Copics and Prisma's. The DP is form Memory Box' Tinsel paper pad which I got from Susana's store right HERE . And it is on sale right now ;-) Ticket sentiments and ticket die is from Whimsy . Flowers are Whimsy Buds and Prima. Embellishments used are a button (Dress it up!), jute ribbon (really reasonable ribbon), satin ribbon (my stash), glitter swirl and small bell (Walmart craft department), Stickles.     Please don't forget to enter this weeks candy.
