Happy Saturday! Summer is in full force down here in Florida and we are enjoying a long weekend with the holiday yesterday and a day off on Monday *yay* That means lots of R&R = being crafty, sitting in my fav sun lounger by the pool with my kindle, sleeping in, watching favorite movies and "playing" in the kitchen ;-) I also have some Whimsy News for you! Keep your eyes peeled, there's a new rubber release right around the corner (next week) which you definitely don't want to miss!!! Meanwhile, until I can show you the new goodies,  I made a card using a sentiment set and die from the last rubber release: The sentiment is from SC Designs 'Life's Moments' set and the delicate Butterfly Border is a Shapeology die also from SC Designs . Hello Everyone, wishing you all a wonderful Saturday! I have a little card to share with you today which I made using a sentiment set and die from Whimsy stamps . I used the Pierced Stacking Star die from Whimsy by SC Design and the Boy Talk sentiment set also by SC Design. This is a pretty simple card but I think just perfect as a male card. I also did not used much embellies just 2 small star brads and a bakers twine .  To make the sentiment stand out a little more on the kraft cardstock I actually stamped it with water mark ink and embossed it using black detail embossing powder. Happy TGIF Everyone! Fluttering by to say Hi with a Whimsy Stamps creation from the Cathy Delanssay collection. But first things first. Whimsy Stamps is looking for guest designers with great coloring abilities! If you are a talented colorist and coloring is your passion then come and join us as guest designer! Onto my creation now... This beauty is called 'The Little Princess' and I colored it using Twinkling H2O's on hot press watercolor paper. It has such a beautiful sparkle and shine to it, unfortunately it can't be seen on the photos. The sentiment is from SC Designs' 'Fluttering By' set . The delicate Butterfly Border is a Shapeology die also from SC Designs . The single butterfly is a cut out element from the border. I spritzed it with glimmer mist and added Frantage shabby blue embossing powder. Papers are Whimsy Designer Papers from the Marshmellow Delight and  In The Garden sets. Other embellishments

I also used the beautiful white Lace Tape from the embellishment section in the Whimsy store and the Shapeology Lace Doily Border die. DP I've used were some left over scraps from another project. For my release creation today I choose 'Zoe Butterfly' from Elisabeth Bell . The sentiment is by SC Designs from the new 'Life's Moments' set. I also used the Whimsy Picket Fence Die . I added Frantage Shabby White embossing powder to the picked fence die and also to the wooden butterfly embellie. The papers are Whimsy Designer Papers from the Vintage Basic and In the Garden sets.  She was colored using Distress Ink refillers. Hi Everyone and Welcome to Day 2 of our ... May rubber stamp and die release! Whimsy is releasing a fabulous selection of new goodies this week, and the entire release will be available to buy from the Whimsy Stamps store and from all good Whimsy Stamps retailers from tomorrow (21st May). Today we are excited to show you the brand new SC Design and Raindrop Echo Designs sentiment stamps and dies released this month.   I used 'Notables 7 Silhouettes' sentiments from Raindrop Echo Designs to design this CAS card: I stamped the sentiment with Memento Lady Bug ink and cut it out using the matching Notables 7 die. To do the honeycomb background I used a stencil, Distress Ink marker and the Tim Holtz Distress Marker spritzer tool.
