'Seas' The Day

Image
Hello crafty friends! The NEW Under The Sea stamp set from Whimsy Stamps  most recent release is just the cutest and was totally screaming 'underwater shaker scene' to me 😃 ...well, so here we go... I created my slimline shaker using the frame die from the Slimline Scenic Countryside die set. The shaker background is made using the Slimline Under The Sea papers and the sentiment is from the 'Baby Sea Creatures' clear stamp set.  I didn't want to cover too much of the background paper so I went with different sized clear sequins and confetti as my shaker filling. Again I colored my images using my Ohuhu alcohol markers, the newest addition to my coloring mediums. I love to use them, they are super juicy and blend like butter. I think so far they hold up very well next to my beloved Copics. I am really impressed. I will test them further and might do a review in the near future.  Ohuhu Markers used: Red (Shrimp): R1, R2, R160, R22 Blue (Eyes): B220, B1

New Release - You Are On A Roll

Hello Stamping Friends & Happy Saturday! There are super cute new stamps and other products in the Whimsy shop today, all available HERE . Below is an A2 sized card I made using some of the new products combined with previously released things. Please scroll down for a list of Whimsy products used. Whimsy's array of products gives you such a wide choice to choose from that you will always find matching stamps, dies, papers etc. I recently splurged and bought some new alcohol markers. I still have all of my Copics of course but I also like to try new things and with the Copics and Copic refills being so expensive lately and sometimes also hard to get, I wanted to see what else is out there that is of good quality for a better price. So I did weeks of research and read lots of reviews and watched You Tube videos. I decided to try out the Ohuhu alcohol markers from the Honolulu series. They also have a brush and a broad nib. So far I've swatched them all out and also colore

Across The Pond

Hey There ! Today I have a card for you where I am showcasing the NEW Animal Tiles - Across the Pond illustrated by Barbara Sproatmeyer together with the NEW Slimline Connected Rectangles. I stamped the Animal Tiles onto watercolor paper and colored with Karin Brush Pro Markers. I then fussy cut the Animal Tiles. My slimline card base was created from Kraft cardstock. I die cut the Slimline Connected Rectangles die from the Slimline Taffy papers. I die cut the SL Connected Rectangles again from blue shimmer cardstock and used the rectangle inlays as background for the animal tiles. The sentiment which is included with the Animal Tiles clear stamp set was stamped onto Kraft cardstock and added using foam tape. Whimsy products used:   Thanks for stopping by!

You're Awesome

Are you enjoying the long weekend ? Here is a slimline card I made the other day using the Bendy Borders clear stamp set from Whimsy's newest release as well as previously released stamps and dies. For the border on top and at the bottom I used one of the border strips from the Bendy Borders clear stamp set from Whimsy Stamps July 1st release. The flowers are from the FaDoodles Flowers clear stamp set and the Scalloped Circle Frame die from last months release. I created the sentiment using the Awesome word die and the You're from the Fantabulous clear set. A few clear sequins finish off my card. Whimsy products used: Thanks for your visit!

Happy 4th of July - Happy Birthday America ! Wishing everyone a fabulous holiday and please stay safe out there wherever you celebrate!  Here is another beautiful stamp from the recent release. This stamp is such a pretty one and can be used for many occasions. Good news for everyone who hates to fussy cut there is also a matching die available for this stamp! 😉 I stamped the Elegant Butterfly with orange dye ink onto white Hammermill cardstock. I decided to make it a shaker card and used the circle element from the Shaker Maker Combo die set for that. I cut a piece of black cardstock using one of the Quick Strip dies. I stamped the sentiment from the Simple Sentiment Strips clear set with Versamark ink and heat embossed in white.  Another NEW product is the A2 Envelope Builder. Now you can make a matching envelope for each card. It's fast & easy and it also has a die for making a liner insert. For my custom A2 envelope I went with white and made the liner in matchin

Whimsy July 1st Release - Get Well Soon

Hey Whimsy Fans , it's the 1st of the month and that means 'Release-Time'!!! Do you remember the Butterflies clear stamp set that has been released some time earlier? I LOVE this set and it is one of my all time favorites because it is so versatile and you can use if for all kinds of cards and occasions. What's new is that we have now matching outline dies for the Butterflies! Isn't that amazing? That saves so much time because fussy cutting can be real time consuming. Just stamp, color and die cut and voila! A perfect cut out butterfly!  I made a slimline card using one of my ready to use gel printed backgrounds I keep in my drawer. When I am in the mood to do some gel printing I usually get carried away and at the end of the day I have tons of gel printed papers. I keep all those handy to use up for my card making. This summery red/pink and yellow/orange piece of gel printed paper is perfect for my rather simple butterfly card. I created the frame using the Sli

Hi Friends! Today I want to share a card with you that I made for a special cause. Lori Kobular is hosting a card auction to support the Turner Syndrome Foundation starting on Friday July 2nd. Here is a LINK to her Instagram account where you can see all the wonderful cards up for auction and where you also be able to put your bits in. 100% of the proceeds are going to the TSF! I donated several of my cards for the auction including this one here. If you are interested you'll find this card and can bid on it HERE . I used Fish Fanzy clear stamp set together with the Connected Bubbles die - one of my favorites. The BG is created using a sheet of the Under the Sea slimline papers and I added more details with the Ocean stencil to it. There is also a matching slimline envelope which I created using the Slimline Envelope Builder die set. I used another of the Under the Sea papers to line the inside of the envelope. Here is the inside of the card Whimsy products used: Hope to s
