Octopi Guy Challenge

Image
Hello there! Ok, so here is yet another one with the adorable Octopi Guys . I know, I know, it's the third card in a row showing off the sweet octopus but I can't help it 😎 I love them so much 💜 My friends Alanna, Faye and I are doing a mini challenge again. This time we are all playing with the  Octopi Guys ....obviously....LOL. We all use different coloring mediums. Alanna is using Copics, Faye pencils and I used watercolors. Please visit their blogs to see both of their fantastic creations: Alanna Faye Here is what I came up with using Karin markers to color my  Octopi Guy I decided to do a slimline shaker card. I used the Connected Bubbles die and  NEW Slimline Under the Sea papers  to create my background with the shaker element. I die cut the  Connected Bubbles  several times from white cardstock and once from glitter paper. I stacked them with the glitter version on top. This gives more dimension. I then made the largest bubble in the center a shaker element. I fil

I just can't help it, I'm totally in love with the Octopi Guys ♡😍❤😍♡. This time I used one of the sweet characters together with the NEW A2 sized Wonky Window 4 die and the NEW Big Hugs Word die set .  I made the middle window a shaker element and also dry embossed the background using the  Wave Lengths Simline Embossing Folder . I colored the Octopus with Karin markers and cut him out using the matching  NEW Octopi Guys outline dies . I used the NEW Slimline Under the Sea papers to create the background of the other two windows. For my sentiment I die cut the  NEW Big Hugs Word die set  from white glitter paper. Octopus Selfie! - Whimsy Release

Image
Hey friends! There is another mini release from Whimsy Stamps in the store today and it's ocean-tastic 😉🐠🐙. See for yourself... I used the adorable Octopi Guys clear stamp set together with the Octo Elements clear stamp set and some earlier released dies (seelink list below) to create this scene. I colored this funny guy with Karin markers and a waterbrush. I die cut all the stamped and colored pieces using the matching sets - Octopi Guys outline dies and Octo Elements Outline dies. Then I arranged everything on my card front and used glue and foam dots/tape to adhere all the pieces. The white glitter frame was created using the Wavy Pierced Rectangles die set. You're Awesome

Happy Saturday! I am taking part in the National Teen Self-Esteem Hop today on Instagram to support Teen Self-Esteem Month. Please visit me on IG @iriswiechmann   for all details and how to participate. There are lots of prices up for grabs and Whimsy Stamps is one of the sponsors of the hop. I used Enjoy the Little Things as my main image on my card. I stamped with Versamark ink onto kraft mixed media paper and white heat embossed. I then watercolored the image.  The sentiment is created using the Awesome Large Word die and the 'You're' stamp from the You're Birthday clear stamp set. I die cut the large word die several times from black and teal cardstock and layered them on top of each other for more dimension. Whimsy Stamps products used: Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

Speckled Star

Image
Hey Crafty Friends! I made two cards with the Whimsy Speckled Star Stencil using two different techniques even though both cards are violet/purple heavy :-).  On my first card I used Distress oxide inks on black mixed media paper. I love how the oxide inks stand out on dark cardstock. For a sentiment I added the Awesome large word die and a stamped 'You're' from  one of the 'You' re...' clear stamp sets. The second card is more in a mixed media style. Again I used the Awesome large word die together with the Speckled Star Stencil. To break up the oxide ink sprayed background and add some texture I used the Micro Patterns clear stamps. The Awesome large word die cut is layered on one of the Simple Sentiment Strips.  Whimsy Stamps product link list: Thanks for visiting!

Sweet Wish

Image
Hello there! I just love how versatile the  Make a Wish stamp  and  Make a Wish die set s are and they team up perfectly with the  Doodle Frames   clear stamps and  Doodle Frames die set . I used a black card base to make the die cuts pop even more. For the cake I used glitter cardstock, silver glossy cardstock and a sheet of the  Eat Cake 6x6 papers . The frame was stamped with Distress ink worn lipstick. Some confetti sequins were added as a finishing touch. Whimsy products used: Thanks for stopping by Hugs,
