Octopus Selfie! - Whimsy Release

Image
Hey friends! There is another mini release from Whimsy Stamps in the store today and it's ocean-tastic 😉🐠🐙. See for yourself... I used the adorable Octopi Guys clear stamp set together with the Octo Elements clear stamp set and some earlier released dies (seelink list below) to create this scene. I colored this funny guy with Karin markers and a waterbrush. I die cut all the stamped and colored pieces using the matching sets - Octopi Guys outline dies and Octo Elements Outline dies. Then I arranged everything on my card front and used glue and foam dots/tape to adhere all the pieces. The white glitter frame was created using the Wavy Pierced Rectangles die set. You're Awesome

Happy Saturday! I am taking part in the National Teen Self-Esteem Hop today on Instagram to support Teen Self-Esteem Month. Please visit me on IG @iriswiechmann   for all details and how to participate. There are lots of prices up for grabs and Whimsy Stamps is one of the sponsors of the hop. I used Enjoy the Little Things as my main image on my card. I stamped with Versamark ink onto kraft mixed media paper and white heat embossed. I then watercolored the image.  The sentiment is created using the Awesome Large Word die and the 'You're' stamp from the You're Birthday clear stamp set. I die cut the large word die several times from black and teal cardstock and layered them on top of each other for more dimension. Whimsy Stamps products used: Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

Speckled Star

Image
Hey Crafty Friends! I made two cards with the Whimsy Speckled Star Stencil using two different techniques even though both cards are violet/purple heavy :-).  On my first card I used Distress oxide inks on black mixed media paper. I love how the oxide inks stand out on dark cardstock. For a sentiment I added the Awesome large word die and a stamped 'You're' from  one of the 'You' re...' clear stamp sets. The second card is more in a mixed media style. Again I used the Awesome large word die together with the Speckled Star Stencil. To break up the oxide ink sprayed background and add some texture I used the Micro Patterns clear stamps. The Awesome large word die cut is layered on one of the Simple Sentiment Strips.  Whimsy Stamps product link list: Thanks for visiting!

Sweet Wish

Image
Hello there! I just love how versatile the  Make a Wish stamp  and  Make a Wish die set s are and they team up perfectly with the  Doodle Frames   clear stamps and  Doodle Frames die set . I used a black card base to make the die cuts pop even more. For the cake I used glitter cardstock, silver glossy cardstock and a sheet of the  Eat Cake 6x6 papers . The frame was stamped with Distress ink worn lipstick. Some confetti sequins were added as a finishing touch. Whimsy products used: Thanks for stopping by Hugs,

Hello folks , I am back! I am terribly late sharing all my latest creations but life interfered big time. We had some major very unexpected repairs going on in and around the house in the last two weeks. So hopefully we are done now for a while replacing stuff and I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend with hopefully some beach time. Without further ado here comes my first creation I made for Whimsy's latest release: I inked a white cardstock panel that would fit my 8.5" x 3.5" slimline card using distress inks and blending brushes. I used spiced marmalade, worn lipstick and bundled sage. Then I stamped the floral background using the NEW Dainty Daisies Slimline Background Stamp with Versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I then cut out a white frame using the previously released Slimline Fancy Frame die set. I stamped one of the frames from the NEW Doodles Frame set onto vellum paper with Versafine Clair ink and embossed with black embossi

Sending Smiles Across The Miles

Hello There! Here is another card I made using products from Whimsy Stamps most recent release. I stamped the Gerbera Daisies Background Stamp and Die Combo onto Hahnemühle Harmony hot pressed watercolor paper using Versafine Clair Nocturn ink. I colored the beautiful array of flowers using Derwent Inktense Blocks and Faber Castell Polychromos pencils.   I then cut out the Gerbera Dasies top edge with the included border die and cut it to fit onto my landscape A2 sized side-fold card. I adhered it using Scrapbook Adhesives foam squares and dots. I stamped the sentiment from the Simple Sentiment Strips clear set onto white cardstock and cut it out using the Simple Sentiment Strips die set. A few clear dew drops finish off my card. Whimsy May 1st Release - All About Cake!

Image
Hey Whimsy Friends! There is a super duper new number and cake stamp and matching die set (sold separately) available in the  Whimsy Stamps  as part of the new release. I am in LOVE with the new stamps and dies 😍! Here is a slimline card I created using the Make a Wish stamp and Make a Wish die set as well as the Eat Cake 6x6 papers.   I colored the cake and numbers using Dr.Ph. Martins Concentrated Radiant Watercolors.  I also added Stickles glitter glue to the pink cake layer. The sentiment is from the same set:  Make a Wish   and cut out using the Simple Sentiment Strips die set.   To the balloon numbers I've added some 3D glaze for more dimension. Here is a link list for all the Whimsy products I've used on my card: Hugs,
