31 Night of Halloween Celebration - Day 6 - Zombie-Licious

Image
Welcome Crafty Friends to Night 6 of our 31 Nights of Halloween Blog Celebration on the Whimsy Blog !  I am using the awesome  Zombie-Licious  clear stamp set on my card today as well as one of the new and innovative Slimline Dies -  Slimline Marquee Die . I stamped the image and sentiment onto Strathmore Mixed Media paper  with Versafine  Black Onyx ink.  I then colored the image and the word 'Zombie' using my new Karin Brushmarker Pro dye based  pens and fussy cut the image. I really love these markers and how they perform. I've colored several images using these and I have to say I am hooked! I will have some more details on these markers soon here on my blog. I made the middle window a shaker and adhered the image, seniment and Marquee die cut using foam tape. A few sequins give some extra bling to my zombie-liscious card and finish it off. Make sure you come back every night this month at 6 pm to the  Whi

World Cardmaking Day - Creepy Critters

Hello and welcome to World Cardmaking Day!  Whimsy Stamps has fun things going on today. A Insta Hop starting on the Whimsy Stamps Insta Site at noon and also a blog hop starting at the Whimsy Inspirations blog ! I hope you will join us at both! Of course there are prizes up for grabs too in addition to all the fun and lots of inspiration from the creative team! Here is my card to celebrate this special day. It is a shaker card with a Halloween theme! I combined the Corny Candy Corns clear set with the Fuzzy Spiders clear set. An inked background and an embellished shaker window (inspired by Jennifer McGuire)  make this a perfect Halloween card. Here you can see the embellished window. I used purple glitter and tiny stars. Here is the product list:                             Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back soon with more inspiration projects from Whimsy Stamps! So stay tuned! Have a good weekend. Hugs,

Happiest of Haunts

I am back today with some more Inspiration from the Whimsy Stamps October release. Christmas is definitely my favorite time of the year but who can resist all these awesome new Halloween stamps from Whimsy ?! I am showcasing Happiest of Haunts on my project today. I colored the image using Albrecht Durer and Supracolor watercolor pencils from Faber Castell and Caran D'ache. The patterned papers I used are from Whimsy's NEW Hocus Pocus paper pad .    Instead of a stamped sentiment I used the NEW Happy Halloween Word die set.   The word Happy was cut out from purple glitter paper and the word Halloween from black card stock.   The little bats I attached to my card are from the NEW Bats and Bubbles Border die set. Besides the bats I decorated my card with a small piece of cheese cloth and some sequins from the Sparkletz Creepy . Here is a list of all Whimsy products used:                  Thanks for stopping by today and don't f

Just a couple months and we are talking Christmas again...oh my I am SO not ready for this! Can I please have another month of Summer? LOL  There are awesome new goodies in the  Whimsy Store  available today. One of them is this super cutie patootie frog stamp by Dustin Pike called Mistletoads .  I colored him using Dr. Ph. Martins Radiant Watercolors. I love these as they are really super bright and vibrant. The sentiment is included in the set. The image was cut out using the NEW Wavy Pierced Rectangle die set .  The papers I used for my card are from an older Bo Bunny collection. I think it was called Candy Cane Lane. It's been a while since I made a scrap card like that but I still have SO much embellies so I have to do one every now and then to ue up my supplies...haha. I tend more to the modern CA
