Burst of Colors

Hello Crafty Friends! I have yet another of my retreat projects to share with you today. I created a card using a gel printed background. Creating a gel print background was  my demo at the retreat in combination with an art journal / art journal pages. The BG is made using the 'watercolor technique' with acrylics and a gelli plate. I love how the colors turned out on this one. Then I stamped the butterflies from the   Butterflies Fluttering   all over the BG and heat embossed with white EP.  A white frame - Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle Die -, two more fussy cut butterflies and the Word & Shadow die set 'Celebrate'   complete my card. I am back today with another Make & Take from the Whimsy Retreat last weekend. This time I have a little note card to share. The beautiful butterfly is a Dove Art stamp from the Butterflies Fluttering rubber stamp set. I stamped and colored the butterfly with Distress Inks to achieve a no-lines watercolor effect.  The little 'Hello' sentiment is included with the set . Hello All! I have a card to share with you today which was one of my 'Make & Takes' at this years Whimsy Stamps Craft Retreat in Orlando last weekend where I had the great honor to teach again this year. I used a Dove Art stamp called Tree Swing and the sentiment is from the Enjoy the Journey clear set. I colored the image with Copics and kept the card clean and simple. I wanted to emphasize the image so I created a frame with an extra layer of cardstock around the center of the image. Some Stardust Stickles add even more interest. Hello Everyone and Welcome to Whimsy Stamps May Release! Here is a card I made with the NEW Gnome Me So Well clear set. I love frogs! <3 So when I first saw this set I knew immediately that I had to make a card using this super cute froggie with his tongue hanging out. I colored using Copics. I also used the Wavy Stitched Squares dies and the Polka Dot stencil   to create the background. The sentiment is included in the stamp set. Here are a few more shots: I also used a white pen for some highlights and Stardust Stickles for glitzy details. Hello All! I'm here today with a final post for this month. I have some cute Panda's from the Panda Butt clear set to share with you.  Aren't they just the cutest? I'm totally in love with this set. I also used the Bold ABC set and the Stitched Border Trio   Here is another one I created with this cute  Panda Butt clear set .  I used black glitter and red textured papers for a big contrast and more texture to the card.
