Image
Welcome Back  to Another Day of  Whimsy Stamps January Release Creations.  My card for today showcases the  NEW Buffalo Plaid Background Stamp ,  NEW Thanks Word and Shadow die  set  and  NEW You're too Kind  clear stamps. I stamped the Buffalo Plaid Background stamp onto medium blue cardstock with Versafine Clair Paradise ink to create my background panel. I then die cut the word Thanks with the  NEW Thanks die  from the background panel as well as 3 times from heavy weight black cardstock.  I layered (and glued) all the thanks die cuts on top of each other ending with the blue thanks and set it aside.   Now I stamped the word thanks from the  You're too kind clear stamps  set above and below the cut out on the plaid background panel.  I used Versafine Clair Nocturne ink to stamp. My card base is a top fold card (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") To make the blue panel pop I layered it onto a black cardstock panel slightly smaller than the card base. After adhering

Let's kick-off our creative journey 2019 with the  Whimsy Stamps  January release!  You'll find all the new release products in the Whimsy store HERE ! Only two of the windows are shakers. To create the background to cut the window panel out of I started out with plain pink shimmer cardstock. Using Distress inks worn lipstick and seedless preserves I sponged the pink cardstock to have a gradient from dark (top of card) to light (bottom). To add some texture I first added spritzers of water, let them dry and then sprinkled on black ink. The  Kooky Monster  was stamped with Memento Tuxedo black

Merry Christmas To All Of You! I hope you all can enjoy merry and peaceful Christmas holidays with your family and friends! <3 Now that the busy time comes to an end,  I'm finally feeling like being creative again. My creative mojo was hiding somewhere (probably behind the Christmas tree) for the last two weeks. I started several creative projects and they all went in the trash bin *sigh*.  But not so much now anymore! :-)  Here is a little card I made using the adorable 'Favorite Flake' clear set by Deb Davis   available at  Whimsy Stamps .  I stamped the girl from the  'Favorite Flake'   set onto Hammermill 100lb Color Copy Cover Stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. This is my favorite cardstock for coloring with Copics. I prefer the 100lb over the 80lb because I like the more sturdy feel of it especially when fussy cutting my images. I colored the image with Copics (see list below) and fussy cut around it.  On a white cardstock panel I added s
