Hello Everyone! I am back from an awesome weekend last week. I had the pleasure to be teaching again at the 3. Whimsy Stamps Craft Retreat and had a blast meeting old friends and making new ones. Can't wait until next time! <3 All my crafty goodies are now unpacked and put back in place in my craft room. The Whimsy July release is right around the corner and I am busy creating for that as well as the July PaperDoor kit. So keep your eyes peeled for some new goodies coming soon to my blog here. Here is one of my projects I had prepared as a kit for attendees at the retreat to take home. It uses the  Let's Be Mermaids clear set   from this months release. I colored the image with Copics and cut it out. The background was done using Post-it tape to create the wonky rectangle shape, blended some Distress inks using blending brushes  and stamped the  Seashell Background  with Versamark ink. Sentiment is from the    Scripted Everyday Sentiments .  A layer of bl

Whimsy June 2018 Release Day 4 - Crazy Cat Lady

Image
Happy Monday All and Welcome to Day 4 of the Whimsy June Release Celebrations. I have a fun shaker card to share with you today.  I had a blast coloring this fun and happy image from the NEW Crazy Cat Lady clear set . I instantly had to think of my niece-in-law (is there such thing?....lol) who loves and adores cats. So I made this card with her in mind :-D This is for you Britta ;-) xx The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Curious Metallic Cryogen white paper. I love the shimmer this paper has. Even after coloring the shimmer is still there and gives a subtle sparkle to your image.  Years ago this was my favorite paper to use with Copics. I kind of forgot about it and haven't used it in years. While organizing my craft room the other day I came across some left over sheets and remembered how nice it behaved with alcohol markers. Color goes on and blends like butter. I have to use this more often again! I fuzzy cut the image because I wanted to pop i

Whimsy June Release Day 2 - Seashells

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Saturday and the second day of the Whimsy Stamps  June release!  My inspiration for you today is a card I made using the NEW Seashell Background stamp , New Let's Be Mermaids clear set and the Leaf Foliage 2 die set .  I used 140lb mixed media paper for the background. I spritzed on different colors of mica shimmer spray, letting it dry between each application. Unfortunately the super nice shimmer can't be seen in the photograph. Then after it had dried completely and I was satisfied with my colors I used Versamark ink and stampe on the  Seashell Background   and embossed with white embossing powder.  My card base is 5.5 x 4.25 inches crosswise fold. First I added a black card stock layer to my card base (5.25 x 4 inches) and on top my seashell beackground in a slight angle. I cut the seashell background 1/8 of and inch smaller than the black cardstock layer. I cut out two tags (from a discontinued Whimsy tag dies set) one from b
