Whimsy May 2018 Release - Day 4

Image
It's Day 4 of the Whimsy Stamps May 2018 Release.  Today I have the super cute NEW   Norbert and Fiona Playtime stamp to showcase. For my card I only used the dragon image and a sentiment from the set. Isn't he so cute? I love dragons as much as I love mermaids! The window is made with the NEW Card Builder Window s die set. To achieve the cloudy background I used the  Cloud Edger Die  and a  blank mylar sheet  to make my own stencil. Then I used my newly created stencil with blue and orange Distress inks and sponged the clouds onto the white die cut window (background piece and the frame) Image was colored with Copics. The sentiment (included in the set) and some sequins finish off my card. Copics used: Orange: YR18, YR16, YR15, Y35, Y13, Y11 Turquoise: BG000, BG01, BG02, BG05 Teal: BG72, BG75, BG78 Whimsy products used:                                                    Thanks for stopping by Hugs,

It's Whimsy Release Day!  Today  it's Day 1 of our May 2018 release week. As always, we have lots of great NEW products in store this month including rubber images, rubber background stamps, photopolymer stamp sets, stencils and dies.  And the best thing...the entire release is available in the store NOW .  My cards today feature some awesome clear sets with motorcycle images from Whimsy Artist  Deb Davis of  Amped2Stamp . Perfect for masculine cards, bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts. The two biker sets are called  Kickstart my Heart  and  Bad to the Bone . Here is what I came up with using both sets. A link list with all Whimsy products used is as always available at the end of my post. On my first card I used the  Kickstart my Heart  set as well as the NEW  Burlap Background  stamp. For the background I used Memento London Fog ink  . I then stamped the bike image on top of the background using Versafine Clair Morning Mist . The sentiment is stamped wit

Happy Weekend All! Another card with the cute    Whimsy Stamps Bunny Balloons   clear set.   I also used the cloud edger die from the  Grass & Cloud Edger Die Set  again but in a differnt way and technique. But before I explain what I did here is the card first:  To achieve the cloudy background I used the  Cloud Edger Die  and a blank mylar sheet to make my own stencil. Then I used my newly created stencil and Distress ink Tumbled Glass to sponge the clouds onto white textured cardstock.  Here is a list with all the Whimsy products I used:                                                    Thanks for stopping by Hugs,

Enjoy Today!

Happy Weekend! Here's a card I made using Whimsy Stamps Bunny Balloons  and Grass & Cloud Edger Die Set  . I cut out several cloud edges from white cardstock and sponged them lightly with tumbled glass distress ink. The bunnies were stamped with Memento black ink on white Hammermill cardstock  and fuzzy cut. The background layer was sponged with blue and pink distress inks and sprinkled with water before I stamped on the sentiment as well as some clouds (from the older Fly By clear set). I added the layers  of clouds with foam tape for a 3D effect. The bunnies were colored with Copics. To embellish my card I added some enamel dots between the cloud layers and some Stickles Stardust to the stamped clouds.
