Hello Spring Fairy

Hi Everybody! For quite a long time I haven't made a shabby chic style card. So it was real fun again to dive into my flowers, lace and ribbon for a change......and this is what I came up with: I water colored NEW   Spring Fairy  with my distress inks. I opted for giving her white outlines for a change. I stamped with VersaMark ink onto Strathmore 400 Mixed Media paper and white heat embossed the image. See list of Distress inks used below. The papers I used are digital papers from Whimsy Stamps Crissy Armstrong digital collection - Flourishing Blooms . I decorated the card with flowers lace and ribbon from my stash. The white die cut leaves are from Whimsy's Shapeology collection called Leaf Foliage 2 by Crissy Armstrong. The sentiment is from the newly released  'Fly by'  clear stamp set. Love this set. It's so versatile and can be used on all different style cards. On the wings I used a lot of Wink of Stella clear shimmer. Unfortunately it is hard to

See-Through Shaker Card -- Happy Birthday

Image
Hello Friends! My creation today uses several products from Whimsy's March release. All Whimsy products I've used are listed below!  I made a see-through shaker card today using the    'Fly by'  clear set, Shiplap background stamp and the Shaker Maker Rectangle die set from the recent release. The word die ' Birthday' I've used is an oldie but goodie.  The frame and background were created with distress inks and the Shiplap background stamp which I stamped with Versamark ink and white heat embossed. The shaker filling are different  mixed sequins . The plane, clouds and happy sentiment are from the   'Fly by'   set and I colored with Copics. The word birthday was die cut from black glitter paper.  Here is a picture from another angle: Whimsy products used:                                               Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

Fly By!

Happy Monday!  Looks like my third post for the Whimsy release last week never went live! :-/ Sometimes Blogger really is annoying.... oh well...better late than never, right? So here it is: I can say this new 'Fly by' set is one of my all time favorites so far. Together with the new Envelope Edger dies <3 They are awesome, super versatile for any occasion and also great for quick cards! I made two cards using this new set. One with the cute plane and one with the kite.  Here is the plane card: The background was created with a self-made cloud stencil using the DIY stencil sheets . I used different Distress Inks to sponge the clouds (mustard seed, spiced marmalade and salty ocean). The clouds and the plane were fuzzy cut and adhered with foam tape. I also used the NEW  Envelope Edger dies   to create the border. Here is my second card using the kite from the NEW  'Fly by'   set: Again I've colored with my Copics and fuzzy cut the kite
