Yellows and Blues - Graph'It Challenge

Image
Hello Everyone and welcome to a new Graph'It Color Challenge - Spring inspired yellows and blues! What a great color combo to start thinking spring! I used Dolly Daydream from the NEW Dolly Daydream Girl Talk CD - available HERE Isn't she sassy? I loved coloring her! Finally I got me some brush nibs for my Graph'It's and what shall I say ... it's like a dream come true...LOL. I promised I was giving you an update on how I like these markers down the road and I can say I'm still very impressed! Now that I have brush nibs on all my skin tones it really is a charm! I new it would be great but honestly the blending abilities are beyond my expectations. The juiciness is one thing but how the colors are 'melting together' so easily, so smooth and even without any lines is absolutely amazing! BTW this is my judgement based on my experience with these markers and not because I'm happen to be on the DT - just saying!   Colors used:

Hello Everyone! I'm here today with my second posting for Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps as a guest designer. This time I have an 'All White' card to share..well almost....the sentiment is stamped with black ink and I've added 3 tiny blue rhinestones...but see for your self: The gorgeous dragonfly is from the Dragonflies 2 clear stamp set and cut out with the matching Dragonfly Die . I stamped with VersaMark ink onto white cardstock and heat embossed using clear super fine detailed embossing powder. The sentiment is from the Dragonflies 2 set as well.  Here's a close look on the dragonfly: And here you can see how nice the heat embossing looks. Other dies I've used are from Memory Bo. The white grosgrain ribbon and the three tiny blue rhinestones are from my stash.  Thanks for visiting me here today. I'll be back tomorrow with a new Graph'It marker creation for the new challenge!  Hugs,

The dragonflies were stamped with Memento inks Lulu Lavender, Sweet Plum and Elderberry onto white smooth cardstock. I then cut them out using Spellbinders square Nestabilities and layered them onto scalloped, dark lilac squares. the sentiment was stamped with Memento Elderberry ink onto the lavender cardstock. The only embellishments I've used are 3 small lavender pearls.  Close-up on one of the dragonflies and the sentiment. I'm usually not a big fan of clear stamps but these give

Happy 4th Advent Everyone! Only one more day and then it's Christmas Eve already, can't believe how fast the time went. Temperatures here are at record high so I have more of a summer feeling 8-). Here's another card I made for the Whimsy Inspirations Magazine # 14. You can view the whole issue online HERE . I used Penguin Happy Mail from Crissy Armstrong and colored it as usual with my alcohol markers - I think I used Copics here. Sentiment is from the Tis the Season Notables 5 Set and cut out with the matching Notables 5 die . I also used the Layered Snowflake Die and the Snowflake Border die . Close-up look on the little fella. To give the snow some texture and sparkle I've added Stickles and mica flakes. Thanks for stopping by and have a great start into the holiday week! Hugs,

Graph'It Marker Challenge - Background with GI Markers and Mix It Fluid

Image
Happy Friday Everyone! It's time for another Graph'It marker challenge . This week we are challenging you to create your own background using GI markers and the Mix It fluid . There are endless possibilities and here is what I did: I used four different shades of teal markers, an acrylic blog and the Mix It fluid to create my background (the teal one right behind the image). With the broad nib I scribbled all four shades (overlapping) onto an acrylic blog, sprayed it with the Mix It fluid and stamped onto white card stock. You have to work quickly as the alcohol evaporates quickly and the color dries fast. The image is from Whimsy's November release called Penguin Chocolate Surprise by Crissy Armstrong. The sign in the background is a Make It Crafty stamp and you can also get it in the Whimsy store HERE . The sentiment is from LOTV , the flowers are from WOC, the bling is from Want to Scrap and the papers are from Echo Parks Holly Jolly Christm
