Burst of Colors

Hello Fellow Crafters! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend! I have two projects I want to share with you for some weekend inspiration.  First up is a surreally creepy slimline card using where I am using several of the newly released products: The NEW Surreally Cool  Halloween slimline papers together with the NEW EEK! large word and shadows die, the NEW Slimline ATC Windows die set and the NEW Antique ATC Frames die set. I kept the card pretty simple because I wanted the awesome paper to be the main focal point. Besides the large word EEK! and the frames only two complementing orange ghosts are added. I also love the popping green-orange-black color combo. My second project is not scary at all. I had a play with the newly released ATC Frames and Signature clear stamps and N EW Slimline ATC Windows die set. When I saw the new ATC stamps and dies I knew I wanted to do some mixed media ATC's. Are you ready for another Halloween release? Then you want to pop over to the Whimsy Stamps store and checkout the new goodies!  Here is some inspiration for you using new and previously released products. I used the NEW Jeepers Creepers stamp together with the Atlas Mason Jar die and the background is a sheet from the NEW Nevermore 6x6 papers . I added spiders, webs and a ghost to add even more creepiness to my card (links below). Sentiment is included with the  NEW Jeepers Creepers stamp. Here is a view from a different angle. I used the Wire Background stamp to create the background. I then cut a hexagon shape from one of the SL Enchanted Kingdom Papers as a backdrop for all my images and die cuts I planned to use.  It's time for  Whimsy Stamps  second Halloween release -  CREEPY  🕷🕸🧟 There is also an Instagram hop going on with a $25 giveaway! Now onto my creation: To create the web background I used the NEW Broken Web Slimline Embossing Folder on a purple white wash coredinations cardstock. After running it through my die cut machine I used a sanding pad to reveal the purple color of the embossed parts. I then sprinkled on some black paint. The image is from the NEW Cocoon Clear Stamp Set and I colored it with alcohol markers (Ohuhu).  The spiders are cut from black cardstock using the NEW Spiders and Webs die set released earlier this month. I sprinkled the die cut spiders with a bit of white paint and added them to the background panel with foam dots. I also added the girl image with foam dots. I stamped the sentiment (included with the clear stamp set) on kraft cardstock and used the ticket die from the NEW ATC Book Die Set to cut it out. Using brads to adhere the sentime

Hello Friends  - I am BACK!  Sorry for being MIA for almost a month. It has been a super crazy time here at our house and I was not able to create. But I am back now and right in time for  Whimsy Stamps  first Halloween release -  EEK!  ....with a really creepy spooky card. 🕷🕸🧟 There is also an Instagram hop going on with a giveaway! I am absolutely terrified by spiders and if I would live right there in my card scene I would have dropped dead already - LOL I used distress oxide inks to create the background: scattered straw, stormy sky, chipped sapphire, black soot, seedless preserves, twisted citron. Then I cut the Haunted Graveyard border die   from black cardstock and the fullmoon (I used one of the circles included with the  Haunted Graveyard Border Die   ) from glossy pearlized cardstock.  To achieve a really creepy feeling I added spiders and a web using the  Spiders and Webs  die set. I cut out the  EEK! word and shadow die   from lime green cardstock to add it to my car

Happy Sunday and Welcome to Whimsy's August 1st release! It's gnome time and I just adore all the cute gnomes in Crissy's line. In this release are two new gnome sets (yeah!!) and I used one of them on my shaker card today. This set is called Gnome So Thankful and a clear set. I colored with Ohuhu markers and the background for my shaker was made using the Slimline Enchanted Forest paper pack.
