Vintage Christmas - Whimsy Stamps Last Release of 2021

Image
Hey Everyone! Can you believe it? It's December 1st and Whimsy's last release of the year! Wow! Where has the time gone!?  I am sharing two vintage style Christmas cards today using kraft paper and a CAS layout. The stamp set I used is also called Vintage Christmas and is a clear set by DoveArt.  I kept the design really simple and on the left card I only used white heat embossing and stamped the sentiment in black. A classic red ribbon and some sequins to decorate the card.  On the right card I stamped the tree with dark green ink and heat embossed the snowman in white. The sentiment is stamped in black. This time I used a dark green ribbon to match the tree color and as well some sequins. Whimsy products used: Thanks for stopping by!

Whimsy February 1st Release - Happy Springtime

Image
Happy Monday and Welcome to Whimsy's February 1st Mini-Release. The card I am showing you today is made using the NEW Basket Rubber Cling Stamp together with the NEW Slimline Meadow Die Set , NEW Slimline Scalloped Edge Pocket Die set  and previously released  Honeycomb Drips Stencil . The sentiment is from the Easter Memories Clear Stamp set . To create my scene I die cut various elements of the  NEW Slimline Meadow Die Set  f rom Montval watercolor paper. I then used my Graphitint pencils and paint to color them in. The background for my little scene was created using the  NEW Basket Rubber Cling Stamp  - which I also colored with my Graphitint pencils - and the  Honeycomb Drips Stencil   together with Cosmic Shimmer paste in polar white. The butterflies were covered with Distress Glaze to make them shine and stand out. Whimsy Products: Thanks for visiting and have a great week. Stay safe! Hugs,

Mountain Rams

Image
Hope you all are having a good week. The Mountain Rams from the Whims y   DoveArt  collection are a super versatile stamp. I used them on a friendship card but they are also great to be used on a birthday card for someone borne under the zodiac sign of Aries or for someone who loves the mountains etc.  I colored the image using Karin Brush PRO Markers . Whimsy stamps has them on sale for a lower price now.....just saying! If you ever thought that the DoveArt stamps are difficult to color don't shy away. In fact they are super easy to color because the artist has already included all the shadow areas and details. This really makes it easy to color these images. Give it a try if you haven't already. I wanted to include more background than only sky behind my image so I opted for the Create a Scene Forest rubber stamp also by  DoveArt . Aren't these fir trees perfect in the background?  I also used the Friend Word & Shadow die   as well as the

Happy Friday Evening Everyone! Whimsy Stamps is releasing a few extra products today. One of them is this gorgeous stamp called Oval Flower by Dove Art. Isn't this a beauty?! While you are reading this I will be away at the Whimsy Workshop Weekend teaching and having fun with my Whimsy family. :-D People at the event will also be able to watch me coloring this stamp with Karin Brushmarkers . These fun markers are dye based, fluid ink markers with a nylon brush nib. They have a liquid ink tank what makes them real juicy. Whimsy Stamps is carrying the full line of Brushmarker Pro pens now! The colors I used to color this gorgeous flower stamp are: Flower Petals: Red 209, Canary 166,  Flower Center: Lime Green 071 Leaves: Lush Green 228, Olive Green 281 Flower Background: Arctic Blue 264 Blender I kept my card pretty simple. I made a watercolor wash background in orange and yellow to complement the flower. I cut out the image and layered it onto a

Make sure you hop on over to the store and browse through the newly added goodies  HERE . Also please visit the Whimsy Inspirations Blog to see more wonderful creations from my fellow CT sisters!  Here is my first project for this release. I used Horse Scene from the DoveArt line to create this card. I stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto white Hammermill cover copy 100lb cardstock and colored with Copics. To create the white water froth around the horses feet I used white shimmery acrylic paint. Don't feel intimidated by these kind of stamps. It's actually pretty simple to color them up. I love coloring them as they have most of the shadow areas already drawn in by the artist. Just use it as a guide and coloring will be quick and also very relaxing as it ta
