Welcome Baby

Image
Hey Crafty Friends! On my card today I am showcasing a super cute stamp set illustrated by Crissy Armstrong and available @ Whimsy Stamps . It's called Critter Babies. My cardbase is A2 size from kraft cardstock. I applied a watercolor wash on mixed media paper using Kitsch Flamingo Distress Refill Ink. The images were colored using Stabilo Pen 68 Brush Pens. I mounted the images onto glitter cloud which I die cut from white glitter paper using the NEW Ripples Die Set. I wrapped burlap twine around the background layer and adhered the glitter cloud with a cloth pin. To give more stability to the images I also added some foam tape underneath. The sentiment was partly stamped onto the background layer and also white cardstock and cut out using the Simple Sentiment Strips. Sequins and Crystals used to embellish my card can all be found @ This Calls For Confetti. Products used on my card     Thanks for stopping by!

Florida Love

Image
It's June 1st and that means it is release time at Whimsy Stamps. The new products hit the shelves at midnight. On my project today I am showcasing four of the new products. It's all about Florida - my home state 💖 Also called The Sunshine State 🌞. We are the  southeasternmost state and have the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other. This means hundreds of miles of beautiful beaches 🏄 and a subtropical climate. Manatees, Sea Turtles, Alligators, Dolphins, Panthers, Black Bears and many more, all call Florida their home. As well as an abundance of tropical flora.  So on my card today I showcase a few of Florida's landmarks - the manatee, the sea turtle, the hibiscus blossom and tropical foliage. In the background you can see the states shape with the name inlayed.  All created using the newest Whimsy products. Please see below for a product link list. Hugs,

Cute Little Monster

Image
Happy Weekend! 'Monster Cuties' is the name of this newly released clear stamp set illustrated by Crissy Armstrong and exclusively available in the Whimsy store now. I started out with a dark teal A2, top-fold card base. I inked the background with Distress Oxide ink Salvaged Patina using the 'Brick Pattern Stencil'. Then I cut out the NEW Weird-O Frame die from white cardstock and the dots from patterned paper (a gelli print scrap I had laying around) and white glitter paper.  I stamped the 'Monster Cuties' onto Strathmore Mixed Media Paper with Versafine Onyx. I colored the images using FC Albrecht Dürer watercolor pencils. The sentiment was stamped onto mixed media paper as well and cut out with the 'Quick Strip' die set' and 'Simple Sentument Strips' die set. I arranged everything on my card front and adhered it with liquid glue and foam squares/dots. As a finishing touch I added some Stardust Stickles and glazed sequin confetti

Hello All! Two more samples showcasing the NEW Coverplate die Happy Birthday. On the first card I combined the new coverplate die with the NEW Ancient Days Club clear stamp set. I decided to make it a shaker card to add some dimension and bling. The NEW Coverplate Happy Birthday die is ideal for a shaker card or partial shaker card. So versatile, there are so many options with this die. 💕 I colored the images using Caran D'Ache Luminance pencils. On my second card I die cut the Happy Birthday coverplate from dark blue glitter cardstock and adhered it on a gel press background from my stash. This makes for a really fast card. However the background and glitter die cut add enough interest and dimension to the card so that it doesn't look boring.  Hugs,

ATC Halloween & Naughty Cat

Image
Hey All!  We are still here and we've been VERY lucky and pulled through this horrible storm with little to no damage, thank God! My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who had to deal with this monster Hurricane and hasn't been that lucky or are still feeling Ian's effects as it makes its way up the Atlantic coast.  I am sharing two cards today, a Halloween slimline project and a Christmas card. This is one of my favorite Halloween creations I made this year so far. Whimsy Stamps has the best Halloween stamps and dies and with only little effort you can make an awesome Halloween creation. I used the NEW ATC Halloween Scene clear stamps set together with previously released Halloween dies (see link list below). There is no coloring required to make this card. Just stamping with black ink onto colored cardstock and die cutting from black, purple and silver cardstock. Next up is a Christmas card using the NEW Dungeon Door red rubber stamp and Cat Do Christmas c

Purr-fect Christmas & Boing! Comic Card

Image
Happy Weekend All! On my first card for today I have a super cute Christmas image to share from Crissys NEW Cat Do Christmas clear stamp set for  Whimsy  Stamps . My second project uses the NEW Boing! Word & Shadow die set on a quick comic style card. Isn't she just adorable?💖 Looooove her! I colored the kitty using my new Tim Holtz water color pencils. I wanted to give them a try for coloring but I think I don't like them to much for this. They are quite chalky and I do not like the effect for coloring purposes. I haven't tried them otherwise yet but I think they might be much better for backgrounds, stencils and mixed media. So far I have to say I am not overly excited about these. But that might change once I tried them in different ways.  The background on this card is created using one of the Toner Terror 1 A2 Card Fronts with a 'Mystic Rainbow' foil transer sheet. The frames I used are from the Mitered Frames die set. Next up is my comic sty

Hey Witch - Happy Halloween! This cutie patootie witch is from one of the new clear stamps sets by Crissy. You can find them in the Whimsy store here. I colored her with Derwent Inktense pencils and used my waterbrush. The background was created using Distress Oxide inks and water.  Here are the Whimsy products used to create my card:   Hugs,

Mystical Wishes From a Little Dragon

Image
Happy Monday Evening! Isn't this adorable little dragon just super cute? He is from Crissy's newest set called Wizard in Training and available in the store here . I wanted to keep the card as simple as possible not add too many layers so I stamped directly on the card base. I colored the little dragon with Copics. I also added stars and the moon. These stamps are included in the set as well. Just the dragon and stamped stars was a little too CAS for my taste after all so I added some die cut glitter clouds and stars. The smaller of the clouds was used to stamp my sentiment on. I used printable glitter paper so stamping on the glittery surface was not a problem. This way it is still a CAS card but not as plain as a one layer card. Much more to my liking. A few little gems finish off my card.  Whimsy products used: Thanks for stopping by and have a good start into the week!
