Burst of Colors

The Whimsy DT is celebrating our wonderful boss and Whimsy Stamps Owner Denise Lynn's birthday today! Happy Birthday Day Denise and thank you for everything you do!  There is also a new release in the store that hit the shelves yesterday! The cute sloth image on my card is one of the newly released stamp sets and called 'NEW Sloth Moments'. I also used the 'NEW Sloth Moments No-Fuss-Masks' as well as other Whimsy products. Please scroll down for a full link list of all products used. The sloth image was stamped onto mixed media paper with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. I then masked the image with the matching No-Fuss-Masks to create my background. I colored the cute sloth image with watercolors and pencils. The background was inked with distress oxide  inks (mermaid lagoon, mowed lawn and twisted citron). I added some texture by spritzing the inked background with water. Whimsy Stamps has released another set of gorgeous Quick Card Fronts - Creative Cupcakes. In addition to these there is also a new Word and Shadow die - Birthday Wishes. I am showcasing both on my two creations today. On my first card I used the Birthday Wishes Word and Shadow die as sentiment for my shaker card. The background is made from a panel of the Creative Cupcakes Quick Card Fronts. The shaker frame uses the Rectangle Shaker Maker die set and I embellished the frame with the candles included in the Birthday Wishes Word and Shadow die set. I cut them out from white glitter paper and colored the flames with alcohol markers. All together a fairly quick shaker card! The shaker mix I used is my own mix using several products from 'This Calls For Confetti' . On my second card I used the full sheet of one of the Creative Cupcakes QCFs. Hi Everyone! I am sharing two cards today using the adorable NEW Dino Mighties clear stamp set illustrated by Crissy Armstrong for Whimsy Stamps . Hello Crafty Friends! It's March1st and that means Whimsy is releasing new Quick Card Fronts! Old Fart Grandma and Old Fart Grandpa are they called this month. In addition there is a clear stamp set called Old Fartness and a complementing Word and Shadow Die set Old Fart Geezer. Here is my creation using the Old Fartness stamp together with the Old Fart Geezer Word and Shadow Die set. I got creative and used the stamp for a birthday card a little bit differently than intended I guess 😉 I created the background for my card with Distress Oxide inks and the 'ink-smooshing' technique. The image was colored with alcohol markers. The balloons, cake and stamped sentiment are from recently released sets (see below in link list).
