Graph'It Coloring Challenge Inspiration & DT News :-)

Happy TGIF Everyone!! Today I want to share some denim coloring inspiration for our ongoing Graph'It Marker Coloring Challenge

I also have some exciting news to share :-) I made the 'We Do Doobadoo UK' DT and we are starting off a brand new blog with challenges on March 8th! Dutch Doobadoo is a Dutch based company which has fantastic versatile products from paper & cardboard laser art cuts to fabric, stencils, templates and also soft board die cuts. These products are so much fun to work with, can be altered in any way and are perfect for any style! I used some of the fab products on my card today, please find more details below!

It's also a first time for me coloring one of these sweet Tiddly Ink images. They are just too cute and super fun to color! I colored her using my Graph' It markers and you'll find a list of all markers I've used below the next photo. DP is from Bo Bunny and the sentiment is from LOTV. Flowers are WOC as well as the corner metal embellishment.
As I mentioned earlier I used some of the Doobadoo stuff on my card. The Whimsy Country Heart was cut out from Doobadoo denim fabric and I then added Stampendous Fran-Tage shabby white. The hearts and crown are Doobadoo cardboard, and the leaves are paper laser cuts. I also altered them by coloring, adding Stickles, Gesso and Fran-Tage.

Simple Notecard

Welcome to my last GDT posting for Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. Thank you so much for having me and it was a pleasure guest designing with these adorable stamps!

For my last card today I used the second butterfly available on the Dragonflies 2 clear stamp set. My project with the other butterfly from this set can be seen HERE.

Quick 'How To' : Card measures 4.5" x 5.5", cut from plain white 110lbs cardstock. I then cut another plain white layer 4.25" x 5.25". Adhere washi tape. Add flower and secure with pearl brad. Adhere layer with foam tape to card. Stamp butterfly with black ink onto white cardstock. Now stamp the butterfly again right on top of the just stamped balck image using embossing ink. This is easy as it is a clear stamp! Heat emboss with clear fine detail embossing powder. Cut out butterfly. Adhere to card using  foam tape. Stamp the little antennas right onto the card and embellish with 2 small pearls. Stamp sentiment (also from the Dragonflies 2 clear stamp set) onto white cardstock and cut it out; adhere to card with foam tape.

The following two photos show the embossed effect. It adds nice textures and shine to the butterfly and make it pop:

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

Less is More:  Metal  - My metal piece is the pearl brad I've used in the flower center (Friday)
Flourishes Timeless Tuesday:  Less is More w/ no coloring (Tuesday)
Loves Rubber Stamps: Washi Tape or Faux Washi Tape Design Team Favorite - Thank you!!

Have a wonderful day!

Enjoy Every Moment

Hello Everyone, it's Thursday and time for another Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps Guest Designer creation. Once again I used the beautiful and versatile Dragonflies 2 clear stamp set.

I stamped one dragonfly onto designer paper and embossed it with Frantage shabby white embossing powder and also added white Gesso around the edges. The second drangonfly was stamped onto cream colored cardstock using Pistachio Memento ink. I've added Gesso again to achieve a little vintage look. Both dragonflies were cut out using the matching Dragonfly Die.
Other dies used are from Memory Box, flowers are from WOC and the rolled rose is handmade using a Memory Box die. Sentiment is also from the Dragonflies 2 clear stamp set. Designer papers are from Pion Design and the lovely lace is from Live and Love Crafts. Furthermore I used a pearl string and Stickles glitter glue for some bling.

Closer look on the dragonflies and the sentiment.

A Little Bird Told Me

Happy Thursday! Today I want to show you another creation I made as a Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps GD. I made a CAS style card using the 'Chicks With Hat' image.
The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto XPress it card. I colored using Graph' It markers and Copics. The sentiment I've added on the side is also from Prickley Pear and you can get it here. For a little embellishment I doodled around the image, added some Ice Stickles to the flowers and added a grossgrain ribbon.

Whimsy Stamps Facebook Challenge - Something New!

Happy Sunday Everyone! Hope your weekend has been a good one so far. For all you sports fans, enjoy the Super Bowl :-) Not my thing at all I have to say. Never has been, no matter what kind of sports, I don't like watching it on TV. I prefer working out rather than watching others doing so on TV...LOL and while almost everyone is watching today I enjoy that it is so nice and quiet outside ;-)

Ok onto my card and some Whimsy News! Starting this month there's going to be a new challenge every month in the Whimsy Stamps and Inspiration Facebook Group! Come and join the Whimsy FB group and enter our monthly challenge to win some yummy stuff! This month the theme is 'Something New' and you can win a $15 Whimsy gift voucher! The Whimsy Rubber DT is showing inspirational creations throughout the first week of the month in the FB group! You have time to enter until the end of the month!

Here is my inspiration for the challenge:

I used the *New* T4T 'Shy Girl' and colored her with Distress Inks. She was stamped onto Fluid hot press watercolor paper. I've been neglecting my Distress Inks for quite a while now and I'm trying to use them more often. It's always just so fast and easy to color using alcohol markers. But definitely enjoy coloring with DI, it's so relaxing and I love the soft look of it! I'm also trying to find the best hot press watercolor paper for me. I've tried so far Lanaquarelle, Fabriano (Artistico) and Fluid. I still have two more pads to test, the Langton and another Fabriano (Studio). So far I liked the Fluid best but I'm looking forward to trying the Langton (came in yesterday :-) ) I only heard the best things of it.

Here's a close-up on the little girl. I used shabby whit Frantage embossing enamel  around the image.

Flowers, brads and metal embellishments are from WOC. Charm is from my stash and the antique safety pin from Tim Holtz. Furthermore, to stick to the 'New' theme of the challenge, I used the *New* Heart Border die, *New* Bird Cage Die Set and *New* Everyday Moments sentiment set.

This card will be on it's way tomorrow to Germany. I made it to cheer up my mom a little bit as she broke her wrist last week and is going to have surgery on Tuesday. :-(

Thanks for visiting today and don't forget to join us in the
Whimsy Stamps FB February Challenge
!
