Happy New Year! - Gesundes Neues Jahr!

Wishing all of you a Happy Healthy & Prosperous New Year! Ich wuensche Euch allen ein frohes und gesundes neues Jahr! Hope you all had fanstastic holidays and as promised I'm back today with a new project. It's December release review day today on the Whimsy Inspirations Blog. New never before seen projects created by some of the Whimsy DT using images from the December release. Have a look and get inspired! -click here-

My card shows an Elisabeth Bell image called Bella Sole Love Letters and the sentiment is from the December release as well: Just a Note Notables 6. This image is so beautifully romantic so I kept my whole card in a romantic soft style. And of course the Whimsy Designer Papers 'Cottage Garden' where a perfect fit!

I colored using my Copics and here are the colors I used:
Hair: E18-15-YR21-20
Skin: E11-00-000-0000-R20-00
Dress: V17-15-01-0000
Jeans: BV34-31-0000
Hat: B02-01-00-000-0000
Reds: R05-02-00
Greens: YG17-03-00-0000; YG 99-97-93
Letter: E30-31-34
Chocolate Box: E79-74-71-70

I decorated the inside to match the outside

Flowers I used on my card are from WOC as is the filigree corner embellishment. Rhinestone swirls are from 'Want 2 Scrap', charms, burlap string and ribbon are from my stash!

This card was made by order and has been sold. Thanks so much Sonja!
And here's the card in it's handmade decorated box. My cards are always 3D-ish due to the flowers, ribbon bows, embellies etc. so they wont fit in any envelopes without smashing all the decorations. And these little boxes are made so quickly and they add so much to the card.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful first day of the new year!

Merry Christmas - Frohe Weihnachten

Merry Christmas Everyone! Hope that you all have a wonderful day and that smiling faces will fill your Christmas with joy! Ich wuensche Euch allen ein frohes und gesegnetes Weihnachtsfest und einen guten Rutsch ins Neue Jahr!
This card was sent to my friend Claudia and was also published in the latest issue of the Whimsy Inspirations Magazine.

The image is 'Angel Gwen' from Some Odd Girl' and has been colored with alcohol markers (Copics and ShinHan). Sorry I did not write down the colors this time. Papers are from an older MME collection called 'Merry & Bright'. Sentiment is from the 'Tis the Season Notables 5' set and cut out using the 'Notables 5' die.

Here's a closer look on the image:

Again, wishing you all wonderful holidays and a Happy and Prosperous New Year! I'll see you all back here on January 1st on our Whimsy Review Day. I'll take a short break from crafting now to enjoy some days off together with my family! I appreciate you all visiting my blog and leaving me lovely comments all the time. I'll have some yummy blog candy for my dear followers early next year so make sure to stop by frequently!

Hugs,

Isn't he a cutie? You just have to love him ;-) Papers I used are Whimsy Designer Papers 'Floral Explosion' designed by Michele Roos. They are so gorgeous! And to show them off better I used only one layer. Way too pretty to be covered by several layers. Sentiment is from the 'Key to my Heart' set. the Flowers I used are a mix of Whimsy Buds, Prima and WOC. The rhinestone swirl is from 'Want 2 Scrap'.

Of course I colored using my Copics and for the  pup's fur I used the markers from the  E 40's range.  The cap and collar was done using YG17 - 13 - 11. On the envelope I used BG57 - 53 - 000 as well as R08 - 02 - 00. I am part of today's hop and here's my creation:

I used two of the sweet images from the 'Playful Kittens' set by Sylvia Zet to make my note card set. They are 5 x 5 inches each, so .5 inches smaller than my usual cards. One is love themed and I kept the second one more neutral for everyday use.

Here's a closer look at the first note card:

I colored with Copics. The papers are from the new 'Whimsy Romance' paper collection designed by Michele Roos. Sentiments are from the also new 'Hello Hallo Hej' set. The glittery butterfly is cut out using one of the 'Elegant Buttterflies' dies.

And the inside is decorated as well:

Here's the second card of the set which is love themed:

The papers are again from the new 'Whimsy Romance' paper collection.
Sentiment is from the Key to my Heart collection cut out with the Notables 1 die. The Key ornament is a new Whimsy die as well from the 'Lock and Key' die set. The key image is a stamp from the Key to my Heart sentiment set.

The decorated inside:

And of course as with all my cards these come in a handmade matching box:

Whimsy Prints Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to the Whimsy Prints BLOG HOP! In October, Whimsy Stamps announced the release of a BRAND NEW Whimsy Stamps product line - the Whimsy Prints Collection. The Whimsy Prints Collection are beautiful sets of hand-colored images which have been digitally reproduced and die-cut into various shapes. Whimsy Prints are printed on 100lb premium coated paper and professionally die-cut leaving smooth edges. Each pack contains 12 die-cut prints (3 sets of 4 images). The Crissy Armstrong prints are lovingly hand-colored by Crissy Armstrong herself:

The Elisabeth Bell prints have been hand-colored by our talented Senior Designer Simonne Clay:

Whimsy Prints Collection are very straight forward and easy to use. They can be attached directly to your project with glue or double sided tape. Use them as is or cut to fit the needs of your project. One of the benefits of using Whimsy Prints is to cut back on the amount of time needed to hand color images. To summarize, it is a great way to make quick projects when time is of the essence! These are also wonderful for beginner crafters and kid projects. If you joined us for our last 2 releases, you may have seen some of the beautiful projects our DT and Special Guests have created using these prints. Today we are showcasing these gorgeous Whimsy Prints with a special BLOG HOP! In addition to our regular Special Guests, we are delighted to welcome both Crissy Armstrong and Elisabeth Bell who are joining us for this hop! The hop starts today (Friday November 30th at 12.00PM EST) and ends on Monday December 3rd at 12.00PM EST. For this hop we have 4 different candy stops where you can enter to win a set of Whimsy Prints. The location of these candy stops is a secret, so if you haven't found them, please go back to the beginning and start hopping! If you would like to hop along with us today and haven’t arrived from Tammy Louise's  blog, please CLICK HERE to return to the beginning of the hop at Bev's blog

For my creation today I used one of Whimsy's Elisabeth Bell prints from the Merry Christmas collection:

I made an Ornament using the print of 'Two Turtle Doves'. The ornament was cut out using Marianne Creatables dies called Petra's Ovals. I also added some lace, gauze, ribbon and a snowflake ornament. The star burst brad is a Karen Foster brad.

The back of the ornament is decorated using all dies from the Petra's ovals die set LR0240

So now it’s time for you to continue the hop by hopping over to Crissy's  blog.

If you would like to see more Whimsy Prints projects, check out our latest mini magazine over on our Issuu site. This mini issue is filled with beautiful projects, all using prints from the Whimsy Prints Collections.

Finally, here is a complete blog hop list in hopping order:

Thank you so much for hopping with us today and I hope you enjoy our Whimsy Prints projects!
