The DT and GDT have been sharing some amazing creations made with the new stamps and dies over the last couple of days, and today we are celebrating their release with a GRAND BLOG HOP!

The hop starts today (Wednesday November 5th at 12.00PM noon ET) and ends on Friday November 7th at 12.00pm noon ET.

For my release hop creation today I chose Lullaby by Sylvia Zet.

As always lately I've colored her using Copics .....I'm neglecting my other mediums... note to self: have to change that! Furthermore I used the *NEW* Christmas Border Stocking Die,  and the Layered Snowflake Dies.  The sentiment is from the *NEW* Winter Brackets set. Flowers and embellies are from my stash.

Scarf: RV34, RV32, RV17, RV00

Skin: E50, E21, E11

Hair: E30, E31, E55, E57, E59

Wings: warm greys

Snow: BG01, BG0000

For the white dots I used a Sharpie 'Paint' pen,

with extra fine tip. My favorite white pen!

 

 

I also decorated the inside by stamping part of the image again using a matching yellow golden ink (Memento Cantaloupe) and added a strip of DP and a die cut snowflake.

The sentiment here is from the Christmas Moments set which was release in October and is now also available in the Whimsy store!

Whimsy September Release - Sneak Peek Day 2

2014 Holiday Release - Part 1

This week we are releasing 22 *BRAND NEW* red rubber stamps/stamp sets and 7 *BRAND NEW* coordinating die/die sets, and they will be available to buy from the Whimsy Stamps store and selected Whimsy Stamps retailers ... TOMORROW!

A Christmas Fairy & Some Fun Whimsy News

Hello All and a very Happy Tuesday! The card I want to show you today was one of my creations for the Whimsy Inspirations Magazine # 14. You can view the whole issue online HERE. Sadly to say that this was our last issue so far :-( So while supplies last make sure and grab your print version here in the Whimsy Store. 84 pages full of inspiration and tutorials! Before I go on with my card I have some exciting news for you:

 Whimsy is holding a
24 Days of Christmas Event

To thank you all for your continued support of Whimsy Stamps, the Whimsy design team are holding a fun Christmas event on the Whimsy Inspirations blog in the run up to Christmas!

Every day from 1st to 24th December, a member of the design team will be sharing a brand new Whimsy holiday creation here on the Whimsy blog.  Included in these daily posts will be a LETTER.  Visit us every day, make a note of each letter and keep them safe.  Once you have collected all 24 letters, you should be able to unscramble them and make a 4 word phrase.  Email your phrase to whimsystampscontests@gmail.com by 31st December 2013, and if you've guessed correctly, you will be entered into the draw to win a fantastic GRAND PRIZE! 

That's not all!  There will also be some fun SPOT PRIZES throughout the entire event.  The prizes could be hidden on the Whimsy blog or on our design team member's blogs, so be sure to leave a comment on the Whimsy blog AND on the DT's blog posts each day to be in with a chance to win! 

 

So onto my card for today now....

This cute fairy is called 'Silver Fairy' by Sylvia Zet. Available in rubber in the Whimsy Store. I colored her with Copics and the background paper is from MME. I also used the 'Holiday Wishlist' stamp from Whimsy and the sentiment is from the Snowflakes Mini Letter Seals set layered on the Snowflake Mini Seal die. Other dies used are Mini Lace Doily Corner die, Layered Snowflake die and from Memory Box the 'Holly Vine' die. Flowers are from WOC and all other embellies from my stash.

Whimsy Stamps November Rubber Release Sneak Peek Hop

Hello Everyone and Welcome to the Whimsy Stamps November Rubber Release Sneak Peek Hop!

Today the Whimsy DT are kicking off our November Release by sharing sneak peeks of some of the brand new Wee Stamps and Time for Tea Designs stamps that will be available to buy from the Whimsy Stamps store TOMORROW! 

For those of you who are new to Whimsy Stamps, we hold a 3-day new release event each month: a Sneak Peek Blog Hop on the day before the release (today), a Release Day Blog Hop on release day (tomorrow), and finally a Review Day Blog Hop the day after the release.  Each blog hop has a prize of 2 new release stamps hidden somewhere along the way and you have 24hrs to enter each prize draw!

Now onto my sneak peek creation ... I used *New* Posey from Wee Stamps, colored  with alcohol markers (Touch Twin and Copics - see list below).

Awww isn't she so cute? One of my absolutely favorites! DP is from an older memory Box collection. Sentiment is from Whimsy's Magical Mini Letter Seals. Flowers are WOC, doily, wood and metal embellies are from my stash. I also used the Whimsy Shapeology Dragonfly Border Die. The vintage seam binding is also from Whimsy's embellishment section HERE.

Winter Friends,Graph'It Markers & a First Try!

Happy Saturday to you all! Today I have another new Whimsy Wee image to share. and also some DT news. :-) I already shared the news on FB last week so some of you may already know ...I made the Graph'It Marker UK DT - WOOHOOO!! I still can't believe my luck. I officially start on November 1st and my first DT package already arrived this week. I could not resist to start playing. For me it's a bit of a change and I need to get used to these markers as they come with a bullet nib. But there is now also a brush nib available.... that's great news! The brush nib will replace the chisel nib which then gives you a marker with both bullet and brush nib - perfect!!  Can't wait to order me some. But even with the bullet nib I had so much fun coloring with these markers. They are very juicy and blend beautifully. Right now they are only available in the UK and France BUT if you order them at Polkadoodles.com you'll receive free worldwide shipping (over £10!)

 

This is 'Winter Friends' and was just released this week. It's available as a Digital Stamp HERE and in Whimsy Rubber HERE.

As mentioned before I colored with my new Graph'It markers :-) The papers are from an older MME collection and just fit my image perfectly. Usually I pick my papers first and then I color accordingly to the DP colors. This time just started coloring and was happy to see that the MME fit quite nicely. I already saw me going through my stash of papers for ever to find a match - something I hate to do.... 

The sentiment is from Whimsy's Winter Letter Seals. Snowflake dies I used are from Spellbinders.

Sorry no Copic colors available for this one today. I colored several images at once and there was no time to write the colors down :-/
