Daisy Tilda & Whimsy Candy Winner

Happy Wednesday Everyone! Hope you're all having a great week so far! Today is the 14th and that means it's time to draw the winner from my Whimsy Release Blog Hop Candy-Stop. My personal random.org (named hubby ;-)) picked the random number and that was # 61: Maria-Therese. Congratulations hun! Please contact Denise from Whimsy Stamps for your prize! All winners from the blog hop are also listed on the Whimsy Inspirational blog HERE

It has been a loooooong time since I made my last Tilda card. But finally I managed to color in my newest Tilda. I really fell in love when I saw this Daisy Tilda. She is just so cute, timeless, versatile and can be used for many occasions. To be honest this was also the only one I bought. I really like the Magnolias but I'm not willing to pay these outrageous prices anymore...

Ok here she is and I colored her with Pencils without any blending medium. So no Copics this time. I absolutely enjoyed using my pencils again. I think I'll have to do this more often now. And with the bright, soft and waxy Prismas you can achieve almost Copic like coloring.

I used mainly Prismas to color and also some Derwent Coloursoft and Faber Castell Polychromos. But as I said I prefer the waxy Prismas for this technique. My sentiment is from Whimsy's Fancyful Birthday Notables by Raindrop Echo Designs cut out using the matching Shapeology die. Also the Country Heart die is from Whimsy's Shapeology collection. Swirl die is from Magnolia and the butterly is a MS punch. DP is from an older Making Memories collection called Chloe's Closet. I love it but I only have a few sheets left.The mulberry paper flowers are from my stash. The punched flowers and leaves are made using Nellie Snellen's Floral Punches (punch and emboss combos) available at Dutch Paper Crafts. The film strip is from Tim Holtz.

Here' is a close-up of the image:

and also of the punched flowers:

Merry Christmas / Frohe Weihnachten

Merry Christmas / Frohe Weihnachten to all of you! I will take a little break from blogging and crafting until after New Years. I need to re-charge my creative juices ;-) I hope all of you have wonderful holidays together with your families and friends.

Here is the last Christmas card I made this year. It's more on the simpler side. This super cute Tilda image was a gift from my dear friend Claudia! Thank you so much sweetie :-) So fun to make a card with a Magnolia image again...haven't had time to use my Maggies for quite some time. Need to change that in the new year....

Thank you all for always visiting my blog through out the year and leaving me such nice comments! <3

Merry Christmas and a happy & healthy New Year
to all of you!

Luv 'n hugs,

Spring is coming...

Hello all! At last I managed to color this cutie pie Tilda from Magnolias latest collection. I love Tulips, one of my favorite flowers besides roses and lily'.

I used Distress Inks to color her and the image was stamped onto 300g hot press watercolor paper with Archival Ink.  Papers are from Making Memories. I also used my MS tulip border punch for the first time. The die cut leaves are made with a Magnolia DooHickey die. The Cherry Blossoms are from Whimsy and the other flowers from my stash. Butterflies are punched with a EK Success punch. The decorative pin is from embellishments.de

I also decorated the inside to match the outside of the card. Here you can see the punched tulip border much better.

I'll enter this card into this weeks Just Magnolia & hAnglar & stAnglar Challenge  - Favorite Color Combo
as well as the Stamp Something Challenge - Something Sweet (I think Tilda is just too sweet ;-) )
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a fab Thursday!

Wedding Card in a Box

Happy TGIF everyone! Looking forward to a wonderful weekend? I know I am.... I'm expecting the delivery of my Kindle 3 today. So I know what I am going to do on the weekend...LOL. It's supposed to be nice and sunny here on the weekend so I hope I can sit on my porch and immerse in my novels

The card I like to show you today is a wedding card I made to order. The requirements were a Magnolia card in a box, the colors cream, pink and gold as well as no flowers. And this is what I came up with:
I colored Tilda and Edwin (from the wedding collection) with Distress Inks. They were stamped with Archival Ink Black Onyx onto 140lb/300g hot pressed watercolor paper. The papers I used are from Basic Grey, K & Company, ........ The butterfly is from Prima. The circle dies used are from Spellbinders. and the border die is from Magnolia. The heart is chipboard colored with distress crackle paint 'Picket Fence'. Sentiment is from SU! Ribbon, lace, gems and charms are from my stash.

I also used a Viva Decor gold pearl pen for Tilda's earring, little bit of 'Diamond' Stickles on the flowers and a 'Sakura Star Dust Glitter Pen' on parts of her dress. Shimmerz paint was used on the flowers and Tilda's hair band.

The inside is personalized and finished completely.

This is the box closed with the card inside. The box is also personalized. For the window I used a 'Shake it' pouch from Impression Obsession and a piece of transparency. I filled the pouch with little pearl heart charms, little beads and dew drops.

Ok one more shot of the card in the open box.
The card is now already on the way to it's destination overseas.

Thanks for taking the time and stopping by my blog today and have a fabulous weekend!

ISB Challenge #38 - Pearls & Rhinestones

Happy Sunday and welcome to a new ISB-Challenge. Pearls & Rhinestones is the theme and we hope to see you all at the ISB- challenge blog to join in on this fun challenge! While there please check the other DT's awesome creations as well.

I think Tilda with Violin is one of the cutest stamps in this Christmas release and definitely one of my favorites! She is colored with Copics and I distressed around the edges with Distress Ink Antique Linen and Walnut Stain. The sentiment is a clear stamp from my stash and the DP is BG Wassail and Provocraft. The holly branch is cut out with my Cricut and the 'Joy of the Season' cartridge. I cut it out twice. Once regular and once with the shadow function. I distressed around the edges using Walnut Stain and added some red pearls for the berries. To have some rhinestones on my card I added a rhinestone swirl.

Tildas dress was colored using E40, 41,42,43. The Hair is E25, E31 and E50. Violin and Shoes are E31, E33, E35 & E37. Her wings were just shaded a little with B0000 and B000. Then I put on lots of Stickles Star Dust.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you all a wonderful Sunday!

Merry Christmas

Hi all and Happy TGIF! This is one of the Magnolia Christmas images I have sitting here on my desk for a while and I was dying to ink them up. Finally I found the time to color it in and make a card with it yesterday.
I think this also a very versatile image and not only suitable for Christmas. Makes a super cute Valentine image as well!

I used Copics for coloring and my DP is from Basic Grey's Wassail Collection. Sentiment is Magnolia as well as is the swirl die I used. Other punches and dies used are Spellbinder, Marianne Creatables, MS and EK Sucess. The cherry blossom flowers I used are from Whimsy Stamps. All other embellies are from my stash.

 Here's a close-up of that cute angel Tilda with her heart ornament.

Thanks for taking the time and stopping by my blog today!

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have another Halloween card to show for which I chose the cute 'Tilda with Pumpkin' from an older collection (Halloween 2008). I went with mostly orange, purple and black colors. The DP is from Basic Grey and My Minds Eye.
Tilda was stamped onto Cryogen white paper and colored with Copics.  I got my new x-press it blending paper yesterday and can't wait to try it. I am a huge fan of the Cryogen paper for years now, will see how I like the new one from Copic.... I'll let you know! I used the Doo Hickey swirl die and a border punch from MS. The scalloped oval die is I think from Marianne Design.
The little spider and the bat (on the top part of the card) are stickers from Recollections I bought at Michaels.
The sentiment is from Magnolia. The row of pumpkins is a ribbon (felt) aren't they cute?
And here you can see the side. I made kind of an easel-stepper-card...lol.
This is also my entry for this weeks Friday Sketchers challenge!
I guess that's it for today! Have a great day and hope to see you soon again!
Hugs,
