Happy TGIF Crafty Friends! I am totally in love with the super cute little monster clear stamp sets Whimsy released earlier this months. They are from the Crissy Armstrong Collection and are called Monster Birthday and Monster Moods. 

On my card I used one of the little monster fellas from the Monster Moods clear stamp set and colored with Ohuhu Alcohol Markers. I created the rainy background using the It's Raining 6x9 stencil and the NUVO Glimmer Paste in Esmeralda Green. The puddle the little monster is jumping in joyfully was created with another stencil called Puddles 6x6 stencil. I first inked the puddle with Distress Oxide inks, cut it out and then added Stickles glitter glue for some bling. The sentiment is one of the  Positives sentiments, stamped with Versamark ink onto teal cardstock and white heat embossed. To add the stitching on my sentiment banner I used one of the Envelope Edger dies.

You Are Purrfect!

Hi Everyone! Here is another card I made using products from Whimsy's most recent release. I combined the new Kitty Frame die and Scribdoodle critter papers with earlier released products You Are word die set and Kitty Cat Extras die set.

To make the large words pop I die cut them several times from black cardstock, layered them and added 3D gloss on top. When I added the Kitty Frame I first thought of making a shaker card. I think this is just what this frame screams...SHAKER! Then I decided otherwise and wanted to make it pop without being a shaker. I added blue cardstock for the background that matches my designer paper. I added the word 'purrfect' die cut from bright pink cardstock and added a little fishy and some sequins. I think it is just the perfect little element to coordinate with my large word sentiment and the background papers.

Whimsy Stamps & This Calls For Confetti Instagram Collab Hop

Of course I want to share my hop creation also with my blog followers on here. Here is the shaker card I made using Whimsy Stamps products from the most recent release as well as previously released items and an awesome confetti mix, called Squeeze The Day, from This Calls For Confetti. Product details below.

I decided on a see through shaker card which uses a clear acrylic sheet as background as well so you can 'see through' to the inside of the card. I filled the shaker with the beautiful Squeeze the Day confetti mix. The shaker itself was created using the Shaker Maker Rectangle Set. The images are from the NEW Doggie Sketches clear stamp set. 

For the inside of the card I inked the background with Distress Oxide inks (Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Tumbled Glass, Blueprint Sketch) and stamped the positive sentiment from the Positives clear stamp set with black ink. I added a few more stamped detail elements from the Doggie Sketches clear stamp set to the background as well as the shaker frame. The shaker frame is also decorated using single elements from the Squeeze the Day confetti mix.

Bestie Furever - Whimsy New Release

Happy Hump Day! It is release time at Whimsy Stamps. Brand new awesome products hit the shelves today! On my release creation I used several of them. A few details about my card:

I created an A2 size card and used one of the New Scribdoodle Crittters 6x6 papers for my background. I also want to mention that the NEW Doggie Sketches, NEW Kitty Sketches and NEW Dandi Wish clear stamp sets coordinate with the Scribdoodle Crittters papers!

I decided to add a shaker element to my card and created it using the Mini Slim Rounded Stitched die set. The background of the shaker is made using the NEW Grunge Background 6x6 stamp which I stamped in pink to coordinate with the background paper.

The super cute doggie images are from the NEW Doggie Sketches clear stamp set. I colored the doggies with Copic and Ohuhu alcohol markers. The sentiment and little hearts are included with the Doggie Sketches clear stamp set.

Happy Easter Everyone! I hope you all are having a good time. 🐰

I want to share another of my creations I made for @whimsystamps . On this Mini Slimline Card I used again the Mini Slim Rounded Die Set and then foiled it using the coordinating Mini Slim Rounded Hot Foil Plates. To create the background I used the gorgeous Slimline Flower Puffs papers. The greeting is die cut using the Hello word and shadow die set which I die cut from yellow glitter paper to match my flower background. I die cut one of the butterflies from the Butterflies die set from the same yellow glitter paper as the word Hello. To make it look extra fancy I foiled it using the matching Butterflies foil plates.

Happy Cake Day - Monster Mini Slim Birthday Card

How about some monster birthday wishes?! I had so much fun with Whimsy's NEW Monster Birthday clear stamp set. I combined it with the NEW Mini Slim Rounded Hot Foil Plates and NEW Mini Slim Rounded Die Set.

I cut out a frame from white cardstock using the Mini Slim Rounded Die Set and then foil it using the coordinating Mini Slim Rounded Hot Foil Plates. To give some texture to the background I dry embossed using the Slimline Embossing Folder Diagonal Dots. I colored the cute monster images using my Copics. I fussy cut the images and adhered them together with the Twinkle Scribble on top of the frame. The sentiments (which are from the Monster Birthday set) were stamped with black ink and cut out using the Quick Strip die set.

Whimsy April First Release - Big Hugs with Peekaboo Dots

Hello Everyone! I know it's been a while since you heard from me. I took a much needed break from everything to recharge my batteries. I am officially back now and happily creating again. A bit about my card:

It's an A2 size top-fold card. I created the background by stamping and heat embossing (white) with the NEW Peekaboo Dots clear stamp set randomly on a piece of mixed media paper. I then inked with Distress Oxide inks (Dried Marigold, Saltwater Taffy, Salvaged Patina). Love this vernally color combo. I cut the layer to size to fit on my A2 card. I did not want to cover up too much of the background so I opted for the Big Hugs Word die set, cut out from black cardstock. A shimmery star jewel finishes off my card.

Vintage Christmas - Whimsy Stamps Last Release of 2021

Hey Everyone! Can you believe it? It's December 1st and Whimsy's last release of the year! Wow! Where has the time gone!? 

I am sharing two vintage style Christmas cards today using kraft paper and a CAS layout. The stamp set I used is also called Vintage Christmas and is a clear set by DoveArt. 
I kept the design really simple and on the left card I only used white heat embossing and stamped the sentiment in black. A classic red ribbon and some sequins to decorate the card. 
On the right card I stamped the tree with dark green ink and heat embossed the snowman in white. The sentiment is stamped in black. This time I used a dark green ribbon to match the tree color and as well some sequins.

Ho, Ho, Ho, - Black and White Christmas

Ho, Ho, Ho, - come and celebrate another awesome Whimsy Christmas release with us! There are awesome stamps like the cutest reindeer and penguins as are there some amazing slimline products. One of them, the Slimline Diagonal Dots, I am using on my black & white Christmas card.

I decided to keep my card just black and white. One half of the BG being a pattern paper from the Christmas Eve 6x6 papers  released earlier this month and the other half was embossed using the NEW Slimline Diagonal Dots embossing folder. I love this pattern, soooo versatile and perfect for any occasion. Then I cut out the words Merry and Christmas each from black and white cardstock. I wanted them to be half black and white as well. I kept the design very simple with just a few sequins for decoration.

Oh Holy Night!

Hello Everyone! Here comes yet another awesome mini release from Whimsy Stamps! The card I created using the newly released 'Oh Holy Night' die set and 'Stained Glass Window' die set is below. 

I created a tea light card. It is a tri-fold card and I used vellum behind the windows. You can put a (or several) electric tea lights behind the card and the glow shows through the vellum windows. It serves two purposes.....a greeting card and a Christmas decoration. Makes a nice gift for family and friends. 

For the side windows I used the star dies from the 'Primitive Shaker Shapes' set. The 'Oh Holy Night' sentiment which is included with the 'Oh Holy Night' set was cut out several times from black cardstock and once from white cardstock. I then layered and glued them together for a raised effect. 

 

Here is a close-up of the main window. I kept the colors to black, silver, gold (shine and shimmer) and glittter white. I wanted it to have a more elegant look.
