Love You Yeti Much

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Sunday! Here is another card I made with products from the new Whimsy January release. There is this awesome NEW slimline designer paper pack 'Frozen' which I immediately fell in love with. I combined it with the NEW Yeti For Love stamp set from the Crissy Armstrong collection and the Slimline Scenic Countryside and Slimline Waves dies
I colored the Yeti with my Karin markers and FC Albrecht Durer watercolor pencils. The background was created using one of the Slimline Frozen designer papers and the  Slimline Scenic Countryside and Slimline Waves die.

These slimline background papers make for quick cards. Just add your image a few details with die cuts and embellies and your card is dome. Perfect if you want to create handmade cards but do not have enough time to create your own background or if you are a beginner cardmaker and still learning all the different BG techniques.

Happy New Year - Whimsy Stamps January Release

Happy New Year Everyone! What a better way than to start the new year with a NEW Whimsy Stamps Release?! This release is AH-mazing with awesome new, never before seen products. See all the new products HERE

My card for today showcases the NEW Slimline Woodland Cottage die. I paired it with a older stamp sets from the Whimsy collection  Bunny Balloons and Bunny Balloons 2.

I colored the bunnies with Copics and Faber Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils. The background was inked using Distress Oxide inks.

I cut out the NEW Slimline Woodland Cottage die from white cardstock to have a nice contrast to the colorful background. To add some bling I added Stickles Stardust to the windmill wings and the bunnies tails. The sentiment is included with the stamp set. A few clear confetti sequins finish off my card.

Here are the Whimsy products I used:

Whimsy Stamps December Release - Hey Ostrich

Hey Crafty Friends! I have so much fun playing with my radiant liquid watercolors lately. These fun ostriches from Whimsy's NEW Hey Ostrich set (newest release) are my latest watercolor victims...haha.

There is a list of colors used further below. Their faces are just too funny makes me smile every time I look at them. I combined them with the NEW Slimline Swiss Dots die. I'm in love with that die. I knew these two new products would make an awesome combination.

I went for gray and pink as my main colors. To add some interest to the plain gray cardstock I added sprinkles of white (Dr. Ph. Martins Bleed Proof White), pink (Distress Oxide Spray Spun Sugar) and shimmer (Liquid Fairy Dust). I also made the largest dot in the middle a shaker and filled it with lots of matching sequins, Sprinkletz and Sparkletz.

Here is a list of the Liquid Radiant Watercolors (Dr. Ph. Martins) I used:

Moss Rose
Amber Yellow
Ice Blue
Saddle Brown
Sepia
Black
Bleed Proof White

Wonky Donkey - Older Than Dirt

Hi Friends! Here is another card using a stamp set from the newest Whimsy release, called Wonky Donkey by Dustin Pike. To provide the perfect setting for the card I had in mind I used the Slimline Fancy Frame die set and the Comic Speech Bubble die set to showcase the Wonky Donkeys.

So, I had a fun video chat recently with my DT sisters Alanna and Faye and we decided to have some fun with these cute donkeys. We all used different coloring mediums to color. It is so much fun to see how different they all turned out and how you can change them up only by using a different coloring medium. Please visit my friends blogs to see their amazing creations.

You can see Alanna's card  done with Copics HERE and Faye's card done with pencils HERE.

As for me I used watercolors. I used Dr. Ph. Martin's Radiant Concentrated Watercolors on Bristol smooth cardstock and a waterbrush. I love these liquid watercolors, they are so easy and convenient to use and their bright and brilliant colors are amazing.

Here is a list of colors used:

Lemon Yellow
Persimmon
Cherry Red
Violet
Moss Rose
Juniper Green
Grass Green
