Winter Memories

Happy Weekend Everyone! I received my LOTV order this week and despite all the stress during the last couple of days I was able to color one of these cuties and make a card.Needed the crafting time to relax.... Sorry about the bad photo quality. I don't have access to my photo lights and tent at the moment :-(

This little LOTV girl is called Snow Queen and I colored her using ShinHan Touch Twin markers. Papers are from Magnolia and Whimsy. Sentiment is also from Whimsy. From the 'Tis the Season Notables 5' sentiment set and cut out with the matching die. Other dies used are from Magnolia: doily flowers, hellebores, star tag and leaf.  You can get Magnolia dies and stamps now also at DPC! Just email Darlene! Flowers are from WOC. Snowflake and border punch are from MS.

The inside is decorated as well......

and the card comes in a handmade matching box instead of an envelope!

Whimsy Showcase Day 4 - Celebrate Batty Style

Hello Dear Crafting Friends and welcome to Day 4 of our October Rubber & Die Release Showcase

On Wednesday (24 October) Whimsy Stamps released this month's new rubber designs, Shapeology dies, Whimsy Designer Paper packs and Shape EZ templates. From then until 30 October the Whimsy Stamps DT and Special Guests are showcasing these fabulous new goodies with a daily mini blog hop! Each mini blog hop has a new release prize hidden somewhere along the way and you have 24hrs to enter each prize draw.

Here is my creation for today's mini hop:

This Wee stamp is just the cutest. I'm so in love with these little bats, look at those cute faces, just too adorable! The image is called Batty Boo and I decided to show you how versatile it actually is. So instead of a halloween themed project I went with a birthday card.
This time I colored using my Twinkling H2O's. While re-organizing my craft room a bit last week I stumbled across them and I havent been using them for ages. And let me tell ya I have A LOT of these little jars :-) And by looking at all these wonderful shimmering colors my fingers were itching to use them.... therefore no sooner said than done ;-)

Unfortunately you can't see it here on the photo but the image has a lovely shimmer to it! I just love these watercolors! I stamped my image with Archival Ink black and I used Canson watercolor paper 90 lbs, cold press and I used the smooth side of the paper. I also did not use a waterbrush (which I use with my distress inks) I used a regular brush.

The papers I've used are from MME's Lime Twist Fly a Kite collection. The pumpkin is a Whimsy Shapeology die and the sentiment is from Raindrop Echo's Party Mini Letter Seals. Flowers are a mix of WOC and Prima. The corner embellishemnt is from WOC as well. rhinestones, ribbon and burlap string are from my stash.

The inside is decorated to match the outside. Here I used another of the Pumpkin Die Trio. The pumpkin on the flower was actually a button. I just cut off that little piece on the back.

This card is for sale in my Etsy Boutique Delightful Card Design Card has been sold! Thank you!

And finally here is a list of Twinkling H2O's I've used:
Pumpkin: Ginger Peach, Yellow Rose, Cedar Wood, Sunburst, Moss Green, Mallard Green,
Skin & Ears: Natural Linen, Baby's Breath, Chiffon Pink, Golden Sand, Playful Peony,
Bats: Bashful Blue, Sky Blue, Hunter Grey
Outline: Ice Blue

To be entered into today's mini blog hop prize draw, be sure to leave a comment on ALL of the DT's posts listed below by 12.00PM EST tomorrow. All winners will be announced on the Whimsy blog on 31 October. To take a peek at today's fabulous new release creations, please click on the links below...
