Whimsy Stamps October Rubber Release Sneak Peek Hop

Hello Everyone and Welcome to the Whimsy Stamps October  Rubber Release Sneak Peek Hop!

Today the Whimsy DT are kicking off our October Release by sharing sneak peeks of some of the brand new Wee Stamps, Kenny K and Time for Tea Designs stamps that will be available to buy from the Whimsy Stamps store TOMORROW

For those of you who are new to Whimsy Stamps, we hold a 3-day new release event each month: a Sneak Peek Blog Hop on the day before the release (today), a Release Day Blog Hop on release day (tomorrow), and finally a Review Day Blog Hop the day after the release.  Each blog hop has a prize of 2 new release stamps hidden somewhere along the way and you have 24hrs to enter each prize draw!
Now onto my sneak peek creation ... I used *New* Friendship is the Greatest Gift from Wee Stamps, colored as always with alcohol markers (Copics). This stamp is also available as digital stamp here at Sylvias store

Aren't these two girls the sweetest? I fell in love with this image instantly. DP is from Bo Bunny's Blitzen collection. Sentiment is from Whimsy's Winter Letter Seals. Flowers and snowflake ornament are from my stash. I also used a MS snowflake border punch and a Memory Box die.

Sorry no Copic colors available for this one today. I colored several images at once and there was no time to write the colors down :-/

To be entered into today's blog hop prize draw, be sure to leave a comment on ALL of the DT's posts listed below by 12.00PM EST tomorrow. All winners will be announced on the Whimsy blog on Friday.

Howdy!

Happy Monday All! Today I want to share a card I made already in early Summer for the Whimsy Inspirations Magazine - CHA Issue. It features one of Whimsy's Kenny K images called Cheyenne. She is available in rubber HERE .

I've colored her with my Copics. Papers are from MME and the sentiment and the wanted poster in the back is from Whimsy's Giddy Up set. From the Shapeology dies I've used the Vines Die Set

Closer look on the hottie:
I've a skin coloring tutorial in this issue. Click HERE and it starts on page 61.

Other supplies used:
Mulberry paper flowers and leaves,
ribbon, button, burlap string,
pearl swirls and some rhinestones, glitter
chip board corner and a Spellbinders star die

Thanks for stopping by today and have a good one!

Circle of Friends Blog Hop - For Bev!

Hi everyone and welcome to our
Circle of Friends blog hop
especially for our dear DT member and friend Bev Rochester
Unfortunately, Bev has had to take a little break from crafting over the past few months due to ill health. We are missing her here at Whimsy and want to let her know that we are thinking about her and wishing her a speedy recovery. Even though the Whimsy family is scattered all around the world, we have come together as a circle of friends to show Bev our love and support by each making her a card. Although this hop is for Bev, we do hope you will hop along with us to support our wonderful teammate and friend.

If you arrived here from Heidy's blog, then you are in the right place! If you’ve happened upon this post by chance and would like to hop with us, hop on over to the Whimsy Stamps blog to begin the hop.

For my creation, I decided to ink up 'Sweet Little Donkey' from Meljen's Designs:

This cutie was colored using Copics. The sentiment is from Whimsy's 'Everyday Circle Postmarks' set. The DP is from Whimsy's Designer Paper's 'Feeling Fruity'. The photo corners are made using a Martha Stewart Punch. Another CAS-style card. I really like the clean and simple look at the moment :-)

The inside is decorated as well. The stamp I used here is from the Simple Everyday Greetings.

So now it's time for you to hop over to Shelby's blog.

Finally, here is a full hop list in hopping order:

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

I hope you are feeling better soon, Bev! We miss you here at Whimsy!
Thinking of you!

Hugs,

World Cardmaking Day - Momas Christmas Rose

Happy World Cardmaking Day!  I'll be working the whole weekend on my magazine creations for the next Whimsy Inspirations Magazine. But I made a card earlier with one of the new gorgeous stamps from Momas lil' shop of stamps called 'Julros med kulor'  (Christmas Rose with Ball Ornaments).

All the new images Monika drew are so gorgeous and perfect for your holiday card creations! You can see them all HERE. I colored the image with Copics and Prisma pencils. I cut out the image and adhered it to an airbrushed circle to make it pop. The sentiment stamp is from Whimsy's Holiday Notables 2 and cut out using the Notables 2 die. The background is made with a cuttle bug embossing folder. I used a brayer to ink the folder before embossing with Rich Cocoa Memento ink.

I also added Glossy Accents to the ball ornaments to make them shine and give them a glass like look.

Whimsy stamps is having a World Cardmaking Day  - Blog Hop, with a fantastic rubber stamp prize pack! You can hop along until Monday! So what are you waiting for, see all the details and start hopping HERE

Happiness & some DT News

Hello Everyone and Happy TGIF! I have some exciting news to share with you today :-) I was asked by the super talented artist and owner of Moma's lil' shop of stamps, Monika Martinson,  if I would like to join her design team. Yay! How exciting and of course I said yes. Monika draws the most beautiful flower designs. I already knew her images from my DT work for Whimsy stamps.  If you like to work with beautiful flower images Moma's lil' shop of stamps is the perfect place for you, believe me!

Here is a card I made with the beautiful Rudbäckia, availabe in rubber and also as  digital stamp:

Isn't this 'Black-Eyed Susan' image gorgeous? I colored with Copics and kept the card in a CAS style. Papers are from my scrap stash and the border is made using a Martha Stewart  border punch.

The sentiment is stamped with Staz-on onto vellum paper. Sentiment is from SU!

The cards inside is decorated to match the card front.

I also made a matching envelope using my envelope punch board.

Thanks for visiting!

Hugs,
