ISB Challenge 3 - Summer / Sommer

Hello everyone and welcome to our 3. ISB Challenge! This time our talented DT member Swaantje is hosting the Challenge and she came up with a very suitable theme for this time of the year -

SUMMER

A great theme that really inspires to bright and bold colors, flowers in full bloom, fresh fruits and thoughts of sea, sand and sun, doesn't it? And of course vacation time!!! I decided to make an altered journal instead of a card this time. It is also going to be a gift for my daughter Kim as she likes to keep a diary.

I stamped Hula Anya from The Greeting Farm on Curious Iridescent Paper (my absolutely favorite paper for coloring with copics!) and colored her with my Copics. Than I added Flower Soft Summer to the flowers in her hair as well as some half- pearls to give a 3D effect. From Spellbinders I used the Dahlia Nestabilities in 2 different sizes and embossed the smaller one with the Cuttlebug embossing folder "Swiss Dots". Than I cut out Anya and adhered her to the 2 Dahlias. The two punches I used for the decorative panel are from EK Success and Martha Stewart. The flowers are from Prima and the DP is from My Minds Eye. From my stash: charm, Stickles, ribbon, brad, half-pearls.

Hallo und willkommen zu unserer 3. ISB Challenge! Dies mal ist unsere talentierte Swaantje der Host der Challenge und hat sich fuer ein der Jahreszeit entsprechendes Thema entschieden-

SOMMER

Ein tolles Thema das einen inspiriert zu leuchtenden , kraeftigen Farben, Blumen in voller Bluete, frischen Fruechten und Gedanken an Meer, Sonne und Sand oder etwa nicht? Und natuerlich an die Urlaubszeit! Ich habe mich entschieden diesmal ein altered Journal zu machen anstelle einer Karte. Das werde ich meiner Tochter Kim schenken da sie gerne Tagebuch fuehrt.

Hula Anya von The Greeting Farm habe ich auf Curious Iridescent Paper (mein absoluter Favorit zum Colorieren mit Copics!) gestempelt und mit meinen Copics coloriert. Die Blumen in ihrem Haar habe ich mit Flower Soft Sommer und Halbperlen hervorgehoben um einen 3D Effekt zu erzielen. Von Spellbinders habe ich die Dahlia Nestabilities benutzt in 2 verschiedenen Groessen. Die kleinere davon habe ich mit dem Cuttlebug und dem Embossing Folder Swiss Dots embossed. Anya habe ich ausgeschnitten und auf die Dahlias geklebt. Die beiden Stanzer die ich benutzt habe sind von EK Success und Martha Stewart. Die Blumen sind von Prima und das DP ist von My Minds Eye.
Aus meinem Vorrat sind: Charm, Stickles, Band, Brad, Halbperlen

Surf's up!

Hi all! My card today is made using the ultra cute Surfer Ian from The Greeting Farm. I colored Ian using my Copics and sure he had to have blonde hair... he is a surfer dude lol ;-) I layerd the image on Bazzill CS and and used my sewing machine to sew around it. The base CS is DCWV and I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the lower part to give the impression of waves. I also used Twinkling H2O's and Stickles to highlight the waves. I used my decorative edge siccors to cut a wavy line on both the CS and DP. The DP is from Basic Greys new paper pad Lime Rickey and I think these bright colors are just fantastic for the image! Than I put both together and sewed around it but without using thread in the machine. I just wanted to have the tiny holes. I also used, for the first time, my grommet tool (Making Memories) to add the flower grommet. Finally I tied a matching ribbon around it and added the little charm. The sentiment was computer generated and I used my Spellbinders Nestabilities to cut the oval shapes.


Hallo zusammen! Meine Karte heute habe ich mit dem super suessen Surfer Ian Motiv gemacht, von The Greeting Farm. Absofort sind die Stempel von The Greeting Farm auch in Deutschland erhaeltlich und zwar hier! Coloriert wurde Ian mit meinen Copics und er musste selbstverstaendlich blondes Haar bekommen, ist ja ein Surfer! ... lol!
Dann habe ich das Image auf CS von Bazzill angebracht und mit der Maschine rundherum genaeht. Der untere CS ist DCWV, wovon ich den unteren teil mit dem Cuttlebug embossed habe um den Eindruck von Wellen zu bekommen. Mit Twinkling H2O's und Stickles habe ich dann Highlights gesetzt auf den "Wellen". Das DP ist von Basic Greys neuem DP Block Lime Rickey. Ich finde die kraeftigen Farben passen einfach perfekt zum Motiv. Bei beiden Papieren habe ich die jeweils untere Kante mit einer Wellenscheere geschnitten. Dann habe ich die beiden Papiere zusammen geklebt und mit der Maschine ohne Faden rundherum genaeht. Ich wollte nur die kleinen Loechlein haben. Zum erstenmal habe ich auch mein Grommet Werkzeug (Making Memories) benutzt um mein Flower Grommet zu setzen. Dann habe ich noch ein Satinband herum gebunden und den kleinen Anhaenger daran gehaengt. Der Spruch ist auf dem PC geschrieben und ich habe meine Spellbinders Nestabilities benutzt um die Ovale auszuschneiden.

Happy weekend everyone! I'm so happy it's weekend and it looks like it's going to be a very nice one. The sun is shining and I 'm sitting outside enjoying the nice wheather while I'm writing this :-) After all the rain we've had down here the last weeks it is so nice.
I'm so excited just 2 more weeks until another furry family member joins us ;-) We decided that it is time for our Dobie girl Cleo to have some furry company. Her new sister was born on April 18th and I saw her pictures just a few days after she was born and fell in love instantly..lol Her name is Coco and she is a Boxer girl ;-) She is as sweet as can be and we are so looking forward to bringing her home soon:-) As soon as she is here I'll post pictures!

For my card today I used an image from the cute stamp set Cup of Stuff from TGF. I just love these mice. I colored them using my Distress Inks from Tim Holtz and to add a little sparkle I added some matching twinkling H2O's after coloring with the distress inks. Ein wunderschoenes Wochenende wuensche ich! Endlich Wochenende und ein schoenes noch dazu. Die Sonne scheint und ich sitze draussen und geniesse es waehrend ich diese Zeilen hier schreibe. Tut gut nach all dem Regen den wir hier unten hatten.
So nur noch 2 Wochen bis unser neuestes Fellbuendel bei uns einzieht. Wir dachten esw ist an der Zeit unserer Dobie Dame ein wenig Gesellschaft zu verschaffen. Ihr neues Schwesterchen wurde geboren am 18. April, wir werden sie Coco nennen und sie ist ein Boxer Maedchen.
Sie ist zum Anbeissen suess und freuen uns schon sehr darauf sie nach Hause zu bringen. Sobald sie hier ist werde ich Bilder posten.

Fuer meine heutige Karte habe ich ein Motiv vom Set Cup of Stuff von TGF gewaehlt. Coloriert habe ich mit meinen Distress Inks from Tim Holtz. Und um dem Ganzen dann noch etwas Schimmer zu verleihen habe ich dann noch passende Twinkling H2O's verwendet. Fuer eine Auflistung aller verwendeten Produkte ganz nach unten scrollen.

ISB DT and ISB Challenge & Summertime Fun

Hello everyone and I'm back with my second posting for today!
For today's card scroll down a little further!
First I would like to share some news! Well I guess some of you have already noticed the
new logo in my sidebar. Ilona, owner of Bastelbedarf Regnery put together her first DT and I was asked to be part of it! I am very excited and thanks a lot Ilona :-) There is also going to be a new challenge every other Sunday starting on the 7th of June called ISB-Challenge

Hallo da bin ich wieder mit meinem 2. posting fuer heute!
Um meine heutige Karte zu sehen muesst ihr etwas weiter runter scrollen!
Als erstes moechte ich naemlich ein paar Neuigkeiten mit Euch teilen :-) Sicher haben einige schon den neuen Banner gesehen den ich in meiner Sidebar habe. Ilona, Besitzerin von Bastelbedarf Regnery hat ihr erstes Design Team zusammen gestellt und ich wurde gefragt ob ich nicht dabei sein wollte! Ich freue mich sehr darueber und vielen Dank nochmal Ilona! :-) Meine lieben DT-Kollegen sind: Ilona, Marina, Nicolchen und Swaantje. Lasst es Euch nicht entgehen ihre Blogs zu besuchen und ihre fantastischen Werke zu begutachten! Ab dem 7. Juni gibt es auch eine neue Challenge, die ISB-Challenge, (ISB = Ilonas Shop Blog)

Ok now for my card today.... I used one of the new TGF Miss Anya stamps.
Aren't they gorgeous? I used Miss Anya Shine and colored her with Distress Inks.
My DP is from the DCWV Sweet paper pad. CS is from Colorbok. For decorations I used Prima Flowers, Stickles and Center Kisses. Ribbon and lace from my stash.

So nun zu meiner heutigen Karte. Ich habe die Miss Anya Shine fuer meine Karte benutzt, von The Greeting Farm. Die TGF Stempel sind jetzt auch in Deutschland erhaeltlich
Coloriert habe ich mit Distress Inks und mein DP ist von DCWV Sweet. CS ist von Colorbok.
Dekoriert habe ich mit Prima Flowers, Stickles, Center Kisses, Band und Borte.

For the Boyz! - ROP Challenge 12

Hello everyone and Happy Monday! It's Monday and time for another ROP Challenge, YAY!
It's Peta's Challenge thist time and she wants you to make a card for the boys!
That means a masculine card:

I choose the cute Ian imgae for my card from the Rock the Farm Set by TGF. I think he is just adorable and fits the challenge theme excellent. Well no bling, no glitz allowed so I thought I need to think of something different to pimp the card a little. So I added some stitches which I think are not too girlish and kind of a 3D effect by adding the image with a hinge to the card so you can "open it up" like a little door and reveal the saying. And for a change I colored the image this time using my colored pencils (Derwent Coloursoft and Prisma) and Gamsol. Haven't done that for quite some time and it ws really fun doing something different for a change! I think I have to change more often between my coloring mediums...

Hallo zusammen und einen wunderschoenen Montag wuensche ich!Ja Montagund wieder Zeit fuer die naechste ROP Challenge! Diesmal war es an Peta das Thema zu waehlen und sie entschied sich fuer: "For the Boyz!"
Damit ist eine Karte gemeint fuer Jungs, also eine maennliche Karte ohne jeden femininen Schnickschnack;-):

fuer meine Karte habe ich mich fuer den Ian von dem Rock the Farm Set entschieden und finde er passt wunderbar. Da ja kein Gitzer usw erlaubt ist musste ich mir was anderes ueberlegen womit ich die Karte etwas aufpeppen konnte. So habe ich etwas genaeht (finde nicht das das zu maedchenhaft wirkt) und ich habe das Motiv mit Scharnieren befestigt damit man es wie eine Art Tuer oeffnen kann und dahinter kommt dann der Text zum Vorschein.
Zur Abwechslung habe ich mal wieder mit einen Farbstiften (Derwent Coloursoft and Prisma) und Gamsol (Terpentinersatz) coloriert. Hat Spass gemacht mal wieder was anderes zu machen und ich sollte oefter mal meine Colorationsmittel wechseln....

Love Blooms All Year Long!

Hello everyone! Hope you are all doing well. I feel kinda funky the last two days as I'm struggling with my allergies.... bah I hate that. And that is why my post won't be very long today.... But enough whining now ... lol My card today is an Anniversary Card I made on order for a friend. The image on the front is from the Cup of Stuff Set from The Greeting Farm. You'll find the cute TGF images here. On the inside the stamps are from Alota and text from TGF

Hallo alle zusammen! Hoffe Euch geht es allen gut. Ich fuehl mich die letzten beiden Tage etwas durch den Wind dank meiner Allergie. Wie ich das hasse...bah... darum wird mein Post heute auch nicht so lange werden. Aber nun genug gejammert ....lol. Meine Karte heute ist eine Karte zum Hochzeitstag, die ich im Auftrag gemacht habe. Das Motiv auf der Aussenseite ist von dem Cup of Stuff Set von The Greeting Farm , die ihr nun auch in Deutschland bestellen koennt und zwar hier. Auf der Innenseite habe ich ein Alota Motiv verwendet und der Textstempel ist ebenso von dem Cup of Stuff Set von TGF.
