What would I do.....

Hello everyone & Happy Thursday! Almost a week now again since my last post *yikes*  Still dealing with a stomach flu and I just can't get around to do all what I want. :-(  But for today I have something to show. My DT card for our ongoing lovely hAnglar only challenge, YAY! :-)  Better late then never ;-) This time Ilona choose the theme and she wants to see stitches on your cards/projects!

I colored this sweet hAnglar girl using Copics. Stitches were added to two of the DP layers (one faux and one real) and some stitches with my machine around the image without thread. DP is Basic Grey's Urban Prairie. The branch die is from Marianne Design and the border punch is EK Success.

I enter this card into this weeks Friday Sketchers Challenge.

I hope you like to join in on this fun challenge and to see you over at the  lovely hAnglar only challenge blog!

I also have a posting going up tomorrow with a surprise :-) So make sure you stop by and have a peek! :-D

Big hugs and see ya'll tomorrow!

Lovely-hAnglar-Only Challenge #18 - Take Two

Hello everyone and Happy Valentines Day! I'm a bit late with my postings for our lovely-hAnglar-only challenge which started yesterday already, as well as my posting for out BnW Challenge starting today.
Today I will show my creation for the lovely-hAnglar-only challenge and tomorrow or Wednesday then my card for our new BnW Challenge. It's a real busy time for me right now so please excuse if my postings are a day or two late!

I colored this hAnglar cutie with pencils and OMS. And our challenge this week is 'Take Two' so I added a mini hAnglar image as charm. I covered the colored mini image with 4 coats of UTEE and adhered it to the the bow. The DP is from 7 Gypsies. The circle birthday sentiment is from Whimsy.

On the wings and around the image I added Stickles for some bling.

Sorry for the bad quality of the photos but I was without my usual lighting and just had to use daylight.

I like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Cute Card Thursday - Hearts & Flowers
Paper Sundaes - Choose at least two of Flowers, Lace, Distressing or the color Pink.
Papertake Weekly - Have a Heart

Thanks for stopping and by and I hope you all have a wonderful Valentines Day!

Anything Goes! - at lovely hAnglar only!

Welcome all to another fortnightly lovely-hAnglar-only challenge! Have you all had a fab weekend so far? I enjoyed the nice weather yesterday and took a long walk with my doggies. And today I'm looking forward to a crafty afternoon :-)

It's my turn today to host our LHO challenge and I thought why not make it super easy this time?! So the theme I picked for you is: Anything Goes! He, he, can't get any easier can it? So the only rule is to use a hAnglar and stAnglar stamp and you can create away! :-)

And this is what I came up with:

I'm all about Valentine already :-)  I colored this hAnglar flicka with my distress inks and again I used some fab digi DP from Nitwit. The sentiment is from Whimsy's Love Letter Seals. The sketch I used is from Mojo Monday's #173. Charms, flowers and pearls/rhinestones are from my stash and I added Stickles to the flowers, rose charm and the image. I also like to enter this into the Just Magnolia and hAnglar & stAnglar challenge which is: Use your favorite things. Coloring with distress inks and flowers are definitely two of my favorite things :-)

The dies I used are from Spellbinders: ovals, flower nestie and circle and from Marianne Design: the fancy ornamental shapes underneath the sentiment.

To see all the fantastic work from my DT sisters please visit our challenge blog. There you'll also find all the details about the challenge and how to enter! Hope to see you there!

Thanks for visiting and leaving me a comment is highly appreciated and makes definitely my day! :-)

Lovely-hAnglar-Only Challenge #15 - A Recipe

Welcome and a Happy New Year! I hope you all had a good start into the new year! Welcome to our first lovely-hAnglar-only challenge for 2011! Which is actually our 15th challenge! This time my super talented DT sister Marina created a recipe for us:

3 flowers
2 brads
1 ribbon

And this is what I came up with using Marina's recipe:

For a change I colored this hAnglar cutie with pencils and OMS. I haven't done this technique for quite some time and it was so much fun to do something other than Copics or Distress Inks. ;-) Sooooo... my next creations will be colored using pencils and OMS. :-) I have a huge stash of colored pencils (brands I use are: Prisma Color, Derwent Coloursoft and Faber Castell Polychromos. I also have a few Koh-I-Noor) and it was wonderful to dig into all the colors!
DP is from Basic Greys 'Curio' collection. Sentiment is a clear stamp from my stash don't know the manufacturer. Dies used are from Spellbinders and Tim Holtz.

I shaded the background around  the image soft blue but it's hard to see on the photo

I hope you like to join us in this fun recipe challenge! For all details and how to enter please click HERE!

This is also my entry for Just Magnolia as they're accepting hAnglars now as well.
Thanks for visiting me today and please come back tomorrow for a new Belles 'n Whistles Challenge!

Lovely-hAnglar-Only Challenge #13 - Tealight Card

Happy 1st Advent everyone!!! Now the Christmas season officially started ..wow how time flies. Can't believe it's almost the last month of the year. Have you already all your Christmas cards and gifts ready? If not we have a nice idea today for a small gift & card in one over at the lovely-hanglar-only challenge today. A Tealight Card. Nicole is our host today and the DT came up with gorgeous creations and each is different! So that's a lot of inspiration for you. Hope you like to join us and if you never tried to make one of these fun cards it's your chance now. It really is easy and there are lot of tutorials out on the web too!

Here is my version of a tealight card:

The DP is from Karen Foster and this card was really easy to make using double sided DP. I colored the little hAnglar boy with my Copics (face: E13,11,00,000, R21,R00, hair: E25, 31,50, blue: B91,95, red R37 & grey C01, ) Dies I used are from Magnolia, Spellbinders and the brand new Whimsy Shapeology Snowflake die 'Winter's Jewel 1'!

Here is the card and the tag. Sentiment and ticket die are from Whimsy as well.

Here is a close-up on the snowflake. I absolutely love this one it is so delicate and fragile looking. And it cuts out very nice and clean!

Hope to see you soon over at the lovely-hanglar-only challenge blog with your version of a tealight card!

Lovely-hAnglar-Only Challenge #12 - Snowflakes/Snow

Hello everyone and Happy Tuesday! Wow time is flying and I am so terrible late this time with my DT card for the lovely-hAnglar-only challenge. A big thanks to my DT sisters who have been so patient with me! :-) But I had a lot of things going on here at home and was just not able to finish in time.

It was my turn this time to pick a theme and I decided to keep it easy and  also fitting for the time of the year ...well at least in most parts of the world, though not where I live - LOL. I want to see Snowflakes / Snow on your creations! You have time until November 27th, 6pm (MEZ) to enter. I hope I have a lot of blogs to visit and can have a peek at all these gorgeous creations! For more details on the challenge please visit our lovely-hAnglar-only challenge blog.

As ususal I colored my hAnglar cutie with my Copics (and I did not forget to make a pic of the markers I used this time, woohoo, the pic will be at the end of this posting). The DP is from Basic Grey's Christmas collection Jovial. I kept the card simple just added some die cut snowflakes, a ribbon and rhinestones.
The snowflake dies are from Marianne Design and called Swedish Ice Stars. If you are in the US you can get Marianne Design dies at Dutch Paper Crafts.

I've added lots of Stickles to my image. I used Star Dust on the wings, Crystal around her feet and hood and some Christmas Red on her dress.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you like to join us. You can enter HERE.

Lovely-hAnglar-Only Challenge #11 - Punches/Die Cuts

Happy Sunday and Happy Halloween to everyone!  Today our 11th lovely-hAnglar-only challenge starts. The host this time is our wonderful talented Marina. She wants to see you use Punches / Die Cuts on your projects. Well that's nice and easy isn't it? So what are you waiting for, start punching :-)

I colored my sweet hAnglar girl with bird house using my Copics and Prisma Color Pencils black and cool grays for adding deeper shadows. I never tried this technique before but I really do like it a lot I must say! The Prismas blend super nice and soft on top of the Copics and you can get very nice effects this way.

The Poinsettas and the tree is cut out using my new Marianne Design dies. I got them from Dutch Paper Crafts and they are fabulous, as is Darlene's service! I love the Marianne Design dies as well as the Joy Craft dies and I am happy that I found an affordable source here in the US for them.

I also used Martha Stewart punches as well as Punch Bunch and SU! punches. The circle sentiment is from Catslife Press. DP is from Memory Box collection Mistletoe. I thought it's a nice fit with all these little cute birds :-). Charm, rhinestones and ribbon is from my stash. I added lots of Stickles all over the card and to the tree I've added snow using a Marvy Uchida Snow Pen and some glitter (I added the glitter before heating when the paint still was wet.)

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see over at our lovely-hAnglar-only challenge blog!
Stop by tomorrwo for my Whimsy DT posting and some more news!

Lovely-hAnglar-Only Challenge #10 - Easel-Card * Everything But Square *

Wishing you a wonderful Sunday fellow crafters! Our 10th 'lovely hAnglar only challenge' is starting today with a theme picked by our incredible talented Ilona'Easel-card - everything but square'
We want you to make an easel-card using a different shape than usual! Be creative and then come and play with us at our LHO-Challenge Blog and show us your shaped easel-card! While there, also make sure to check out the fantastic work of my fellow DT-sisters!!!

I decided to make an octagon shaped card this time. I thought this would fit my sitting hAnglar girl best.

I stamped my image into 'x-press it'  blending cards using Memento Tuxedo black ink. She was colored with Copics. The dies I've used are all from Spellbinders and the sentiment was a freebie I got with my last order from Catslife Press. DP is from Cosmo Cricket 'Mitten Weather'.

To add some bling to the girl and the embellies I used Stickles Star Dust. The paper edges were distressed with Dew Drop Chalk Ink 'Wheat'.

The little swirl you can see on the inside next to the star is a clear stamp from Inkadinkado. All the pearls I've used on this card are from KaiserCraft.

This card is sold to Dagmar B. ~ Thanks! :-)

Copic colors used on this image:

Have a wonderful Sunday and hopefully you can enjoy some beautiful weather like I have here today!

Lovely-hAnglar-Only Challenge #9 - Seasonal

Happy Sunday Friends! Today a new Lovely-Hanglar-Only Challenge starts and it is my turn to pick the theme. As the holiday season is almost on our door steps and everyone starts creating holiday themed  projects I decided to go with the theme 'Seasonal'. So you can enter a card or project with a holiday theme as well as a Spring, Summer, Fall, or Winter card. I think that leaves a lot of options! Hope you like it and come and join us at the Lovely-Hanglar-Only challenge blog!

For my inspirational DT card I chose to go with a Winter theme. I picked this cute guy, he is from the 'Tomtekit 2008'. I kept my card in blue and beige tones.

The image was stamped onto Cryogen paper from Arjo Wiggins with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored using Copic markers. (Cloth: E40, E41, E42, E43, E44 & B0000, B91, B93, B97)

I used Stickles Star Dust and Arctic Ice to highlight and some glitz.

The large snowflake was cut out using my Cricut and the Christmas/Noel cartridge. Sentiment is from SU. I also sew around the 2 lower layers.

Here is a close up on the flower decorations.

On the inside I used part of the DP as my sentiment. The DP's I've used are from Creative Imaginations and Basic Grey's Wassail Collection.

I also decorated the envelope to match the card.

Here are all the Copics I'ved used to color the image.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Sunday!

Hugs,
