Harlequin Stencil

Hey Peeps! I have another card I want to share with you today. It is a mixed media style card where I use the NEW Harlequin Stencil from Whimsy Stamps in combination with other recently released products.

To create my background I used the NEW Harlequin Stencil and Distress Oxide inks in Carved Pumpkin and Seedles Preserves. I added more texture to my BG using the Mixed Media Bits clear stamp set and pigment ink in gray, black and gold as well as red distress crayons. More details were added with a gold, black and white paint pen.

Happy Birthday Deb! 🎂

We here at Whimsy Stamps are celebrating our Creative Director, Deb Davis’s birthday today! Happy Birthday Deb! Hope you are having a wonderful day with many, many more to come! 🎂

I created this scene card for Deb using several Whimsy products from recent and earlier releases. Please scroll down to find the link list below.

For the background I used the NEW Nightmares SL paper and my focal image is the Dracula image from the 'Dracula I Compel You' set. The sentiments are from the same set.
I embellished the card using the mini jack-o lanterns from the NEW 'Pumpkin and Mini Jacks' die set cut from golden glitter cardstock. As well as some bats from the NEW Batty die set.

Grumpin Punkin!

Hello Friends! Another Whimsy Stamps Halloween release just hit the shelves a few days ago! Here is my inspiration using the NEW Grumpin Punkins stamp set.

I colored the pumpkins using alcohol markers and then fussy cut them. I combined the NEW Grumpin Punkins with the Connected Bubbles die and made one of the bubbles a shaker element.
The shaker bubble and filling for the shaker element is made using several products from This Calls for Confetti. The round shaker pouch from TCFC fits perfectly in the bubble from the Connected Bubbles die!
I decorated my card using bats from the Batty die set and small pumpkins from the Pumpkins and Mini Jacks die set (cut from glitter cardstock).
I also added texture using cheese cloth pieces which I dyed with distress inks to fit my color scheme.

Please find below a list off all Whimsy Stamps and This Calls For Confetti products used.

Lets Get Spooky in the Haunted House

Hello to all my Halloween Friends! Whimsy's newest Halloween release just hit the shelves and I have tow cards to share today.

On my first creation I combined the NEW Exquisite Lace, NEW Exquisite Beauty, NEW Home Sweet Haunted Home and NEW Harlequin stencil on a mixed media style card. These new stamps and stencil are just perfect for mixed media creations. In addition to the new products I also used earlier released dies: Treasure Map die set and Bookmark and Tags die set.

Here is a quick How-To:

I die cut the treasure map from kraft cardstock to use it as a background panel. I also die cut it 3 three times from thick cardstock and layered it to make it nice and sturdy. I then stamped the lace images onto the kraft treasure map panel, the smaller lace onto an extra piece of kraft cardstock. The moth was stamped onto purple cardstock and cut out. I distressed all pieces with tea dye and seedless preserves Distress Oxide Ink as well as white pigment ink. In addition to the lace on the treasure map panel I also added texture using the Harlequin stencil and Versamark Dazzle Frost ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. The sentiment was also stamped onto kraft cardstock and cut out with a tag die from the Bookmarks and Tags die set. I also added some black and white splatters. I used acrylic paint to do these. I assembled my card using liquid glue and foam dots/squares. For a finishing touch I added confetti and crystals from This Calls For Confetti.

My second card showcases the earlier released Bookeh 6x6 papers and NEW Home Sweet Haunted Home clear stamp set together with the NEW Pumpkin & Mini Jacks die set. These awesome papers together with these sentiment stamps and mini jacks dies make for a fast and spooky card.

Hugs & Kisses & Halloween Wishes

Hello Crafty Friends. I can't believe it's this time of the year already where we start with our Halloween creations @ Whimsy Stamps. Yesterday Whimsy released the first batch of its Halloween products. Of course over the next several weeks there will be more and we have sweet and also creepy Halloween products for you! So keep your eyes peeled for more Halloween fun to come!

My first Halloween creation for this season is on the cute side. I used the adorable Halloween Night stamp set illustrated by Crissy Armstrong. My friend Crissy draws the most adorable Halloween images.  I combined it with the New Nested Web die set and New Batty die set. The papers are from the also newly released Bookeh 6x6 paper pack. I made a shaker out of the web die and filled with the polymer clay Halloween Night mix from This Calls For Confetti. Links to all products used can be found below. I colored the cute images with my Stabilo 68 pens and a waterbrush.
