Welcome Baby

Hey Crafty Friends! On my card today I am showcasing a super cute stamp set illustrated by Crissy Armstrong and available @ Whimsy Stamps. It's called Critter Babies.

My cardbase is A2 size from kraft cardstock. I applied a watercolor wash on mixed media paper using Kitsch Flamingo Distress Refill Ink. The images were colored using Stabilo Pen 68 Brush Pens. I mounted the images onto glitter cloud which I die cut from white glitter paper using the NEW Ripples Die Set. I wrapped burlap twine around the background layer and adhered the glitter cloud with a cloth pin. To give more stability to the images I also added some foam tape underneath. The sentiment was partly stamped onto the background layer and also white cardstock and cut out using the Simple Sentiment Strips. Sequins and Crystals used to embellish my card can all be found @ This Calls For Confetti.

Florida Love

It's June 1st and that means it is release time at Whimsy Stamps. The new products hit the shelves at midnight. On my project today I am showcasing four of the new products.

It's all about Florida - my home state ๐Ÿ’– Also called The Sunshine State ๐ŸŒž. We are the southeasternmost state and have the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other. This means hundreds of miles of beautiful beaches ๐Ÿ„ and a subtropical climate. Manatees, Sea Turtles, Alligators, Dolphins, Panthers, Black Bears and many more, all call Florida their home. As well as an abundance of tropical flora.
So on my card today I showcase a few of Florida's landmarks - the manatee, the sea turtle, the hibiscus blossom and tropical foliage. In the background you can see the states shape with the name inlayed.
All created using the newest Whimsy products. Please see below for a product link list.

Hello Imagination and a Beachy Scene

Happy TGIF and Hello Imagination! No creativity without imagination - these two belong together. Imagination gives my brain a booster to be creative in many ways and come up with all sorts of creative ideas. Did you know that passive activities like reading can be a trigger for more creativity and simple everyday tasks like walking and cooking usually calm our brain and can boost imagination.

To create this card I used the NEW Woolly Bear Kids - Imagination clear stamp set by Barbara Sproatmeyer, exclusively available from Whimsy Stamps. I combined it with the SL Gullivers Garden papers and the Hello Word and Shadow die set. To finish up my card I've added some glitter glue and Wheat Sparkle Gems from This Calls for Confetti.

On my second card I used the NEW Seashells and Sunshine rubber stamp which I colored using Karin Brush Marker Pro.

The sentiment is from the NEW Special Day clear stamp set. To embellish my card I've added some Stickles glitter glue 'Stardust' , burlap string and a shell charm.

Thank You For Your Service!

Happy Sunday! Here is some more inspiration from Whimsy's newest release showcasing the newest military dies in the collection.

I opted for a slimline card and it is (besides the little sentiment) a dies-only card. I also used the Slimline Military Papers to cut out some of the clothes parts of the NEW Military Profiles.

Thanks for your visit!

You Are A SHERO!

Hi Everyone! My apologies for being MIA for over a month. Some personal things threw me off my path kept me from creating. But I am very happy to be back now and right in time for Whimsy Stamps April 1st release.

With this release we celebrate all the heroes and especially the sheroes in the military and veterans as well. I have used several of the new products on my card. For a link list of all products used please scroll down.

I used black and kraft cardstock together with the NEW Slimline Military Papers and NEW Military Sheroes Die Set to create the layers on my card. With the NEW Military Sheroes clear stamp set I added accents directly to the designer paper as well as kraft cardstock.
I love to incorporate earlier released products into my new release creations and this time the Military die set was perfect to finish off my card with some die cut embellishments - the tags and star.

Love Card - Quick & Easy!

Hello crafty friends! On my card today I am using two of the Whimsy products released earlier this month. SurReally Cool Sweatheart slimline papers and the Love Heart die.

I love when you can create a card with just two products. The NEW slimline SurReally Cool Sweetheart paper pack makes it really easy. These backgrounds do not need a lot of embellishing. With just an image or a die cut you can create fabulous cards in no-time.
My base is an A2 sized horizontal top-fold card base in hot pink. The next layer is cut from white glitter paper and a perfect mount for my designer paper background. The Love Heart is also cut from white glitter paper. I used a glue pen to add adhesive to the back of the heart. A few matching pink sequins finish off my card.

SurReally Love My Space Moonie

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday time and wishing you all a very happy, healthy, peaceful, and joyful 2023.

I know you haven't seen anything new from me since earlier in December. Sorry for being MIA again. Life interfered again with my crafting time. My family needed my undivided attention due to some cases of illness. Unfortunately some of them very serious. So December was quite stressful and exhausting for us. But we are strong and we will pull through.

I still have some cards to share from December and I will do so and post them throughout the month of January.

For today I have a NEW project - a slimline card - to share which I made with products from the January 1st release. All the new products are available in the Whimsy store HERE

I used the NEW awesome SurReally Cool Sweatheart slimline papers to create the background for my slimline card. These designer papers are fantastic and provide a perfect backdrop for your cards.
I then used the Space Moonies clear stamp set and outline dies to add details to my card.
I stamped some constellations directly onto the background paper with Versamark ink and heat embossed with silver embossing powder. The heart moon and the space moonies couple were stamped onto Hammermill 80lb paper and colored with Copics. I then cut them out using the matching outline dies and adhered them to my card front with foam squares. The sentiment - which is included with the stamp set - was stamped onto white cardstock and cut out using a die from the Quick Strip die set. Some added Stardust Stickles here and there finish off my card.
