Whimsy Stamps 2nd October Release - Turkey SOS!

Hello Everyone! Welcome to another Whimsy Stamps Mini Release!

We are not too far away from the most celebrated holiday here in the US - Thanksgiving! Also often called Turkey Day. This is when my card comes into play. Maybe we can help out the one or the other bird this year.....

This is the NEW 'Gobble This' clear stamp and die set (die set available separate) combined with the NEW Stuff word die set. I also used the NEW Autumn Hue 6x6 papers which were released earlier this month,  Revealers 3  and Comic Speech Bubbles die sets.

The image was colored using Dr. Ph. Martins Concentrated Radiant Liquid Watercolors.

Whimsy October 1st Release - Gargoyle: 'I've Got My Eyes On You!'

Happy TGIF! Today is the last of 4 Halloween releases by Whimsy stamps. I have an A2 sized card to share today where I used the utterly adorable Gargoyle and Friends clear stamp set by Dustin Pike.

I colored this cutie using Dr. Ph. Martins India inks. The image was stamped onto mixed media paper with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. To have the Autumn Hues papers peek through I used the Revealers 3 die.

To make the sentiment stand out more I stamped it on black cardstock with white pigment ink (Hero Hues Unicorn). I then cut it out using the Comic Speech Bubbles die set and adhered it to the card front with foam dots. A few yellow and purple sequins finish off my card.

Out Of Space Birthday Greetings, Tiramisu Cake & New Business Venture

Hey Crafty Folks. It's the last day of September already, where did the time go?? Here is a card I made back in August but I never came around to share it here with you.

It's a little alien slimline birthday card I created using several August products together with earlier released stamps. The background is from the Lost in Space Slimline Papers and the dies I used are the Revealers 2 dies and UFO die set. The stamps are from Krista's Over the Moon clear stamp set that has been released earlier.

New business venture....

I also want to share a birthday cake I made for a friend. It is a Tiramisu Cake with Cherries. I will soon be opening a home based baking shop and cakes like this will then be available as special order / custom cakes. It is filled with a mascarpone cream, has a layer of freshly made cherry filling and a layer of espresso-amaretto dipped ladyfingers. The decoration around the cake are chocolate dipped ladyfingers and chocolate pieces finished off with a pink ribbon. Stay tuned as I will soon share more details about this

Merry Pup-Mas

Happy Tuesday Friends! It's time for some Christmas cheer....puppy Christmas cheer 😀🐶 The new super adorable 'Pups for Christmas' clear stamp set from Whimsy's Crissy Armstrong line was used to create my first Christmas card for this season. I am totally in love with this new set and one of the reason is that these cute pups look so much like my Luna when she was a pup. Crissy told me that Luna was in fact her inspiration when she drew these super cute images. So of course I had to color this sweet little cutie and make her a fawn little Boxer pup 💗

...and here is Luna 💓 when she was 3 months old. That was last year in October.

I created the background using Distress Spray Stains (salvaged patina & prize ribbon). I then sprinkled on some white acrylic paint and white shimmery mica powder. I also drizzled on some water to create even more texture. The large white star was added using white pigment, white ink, white marble glitter and the Twinkle Cluster stencil. The image was stamped onto Strathmore mixed media paper and colored using Caran D'ache Pablo pencils.

Halloween Shaker - Trick or Treat

Hello! Today I am sharing a cute and not so creepy Halloween slimline shaker card. I used the NEW I Want Candy clear stamp set from Whimsy's Krista Heij-Barber line.

I also used the NEW Bats Galore slimline embossing folder on the shaker frame that I die cut using the Slimline Scenic Window die. To create the shaker windows background I used the Vintage Halloween 6x6 papers. I filled the shaker using Sparkletz - Creepy.

Surreally Creepy & Mixed Media ATC's

Hello Fellow Crafters! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend! I have two projects I want to share with you for some weekend inspiration.

First up is a surreally creepy slimline card using where I am using several of the newly released products: The NEW Surreally Cool  Halloween slimline papers together with the NEW EEK! large word and shadows die, the NEW Slimline ATC Windows die set and the NEW Antique ATC Frames die set.

I kept the card pretty simple because I wanted the awesome paper to be the main focal point. Besides the large word EEK! and the frames only two complementing orange ghosts are added. I also love the popping green-orange-black color combo.

My second project is not scary at all. I had a play with the newly released ATC Frames and Signature clear stamps and NEW Slimline ATC Windows die set.

When I saw the new ATC stamps and dies I knew I wanted to do some mixed media ATC's. Actually these ATC's are my first ATC's at all. I am primarily a card maker...I would even say 99% cardmaker...lol. I was never into ATC's, they are too small for my taste and I am not into trading so they never made sense to me. But I have to say with Whimsy's new ATC stamps and dies it was so much fun creating these and fast too. Even if I am still 99% cardmaker these will definitely not be my last ATC's I am sure! I will include them together with a card and give them away as a gift. Or add them as a tag onto a gift.
