ISB Challenge 7 - The Bugs are here!

Good Morning! It's Challenge Sunday over at ISB-Challenge Blog again! This time it was up to our wonderful Marina to pick the challenge theme and she decided on a color challenge! YAY!
So we want you to create your project using the colors

New ROP Challenge - Punches & MMSC #15

Hello and welcome to another Roses on Paper & Belles 'n Whistles Challenge! It is challenge 19 already and now we do have a combined challenge blog for Roses on Paper and Belles 'n Whistles! Yay! This time the challenge was selected by our fabulous Peta from Australia :-) The task to perform this time is use punches on your project and combine with a sketch challenge of your choice! Easy, isn't it?!

You have until September 6th to enter and the winner will be randomly chosen on September 7th. For all the details on how to enter, what stamps you can use in order to qualify or what prize is up for grabs see our challenge blog right here.

For my card I chose this weeks sketch at Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge!

Summer has some new Alota stamps in the store and when I first saw this cute oven/stove stamp I fell in love with it right away! I knew instantly what Tilda image to use in combination with the stove stamp.....Tilda with Apple Pie :-) I think they are a perfect match. This time I did not create my scene using the masking technique but cut Tilda out and used 3D dots to pop her up a little and give some dimension. I also used 3D glaze on the cute clock and the bottle to simulate glass. For the steam rising from the water kettle I used Polar White Flower Soft. Did some sewing with my machine and added half-pearls for decoration! And as our challenge called for the use of punches I used the following: Martha Stewart: Flourish, Photo Corner & Lattice Arch (on the inside) Punches, Emagination Crafts Inc.: Tag Punch. For coloring my images I used Copic Markers (see photo) and Copic Airbrushing System. For a detailed list of all items used scroll down to the end.

Fuer meine Karte habe ich den dieswoechigen Sketch bei Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge gewaehlt!

Summer hat neue Alota stempel im Shop und einer davon ist dieser super knuffige Ofen! Der hat mir auf den ersten Blick gleich super gefallen und ich wusste auch sofort mit welchem Magnolia Motiv ich ihn kombinieren wollte: Tilda mit Apple Pie! :-) Diesmal habe ich nicht die Maskierungstechnik verwendet um meine kleine Szene zu gestalten sondern habe Tilda ausgeschnitten und mit 3D Pads aufgeklebt. Ausserdem habe ich auf der Uhr und der Flasche 3D Lack verwendet und fuer den Wasserdampf habe ich Polar White Flower Soft genommen. Damit das ganze Motiv etwas 3 dimensionaler wirkt. Zur Dekoartion habe ich Halbperlen verwendet und mit der Maschine genaeht. So und da unsere Challenge ja Punches verlangt habe ich folgende Punches verwendet: Martha Stewart: Flourish, Photo Corner & Lattice Arch (auf der Innenseite) Punches, Emagination Crafts Inc.: Tag Punch. Coloriert habe ich mit Copic markern und dem Copic Airbrushing System. Fuer eine Liste aller verwendeten Materialien bitte ganz nach unten scrollen.

On to my card for today. Want some ice cream? I sure do as are these cute little bugs!
This is a Alota stamp and one of my favorites. Aren't they so adorable nibbling from the ice cream? I colored them with my copics (scroll down for pictures of the colors I used) and to make the whipping cream pop out I added some glitter (carrara marble fine from Martha Stewart). I thought the chocolate sauce will definitely need some shine and I added 3D glaze to it as well as to the cherry on top. You can see all this a little better on the close ups. The bowl (except the flowers) is colored using Shimmerz Blingz Periwinkle.
And I finally had enough time on the weekend to decorate the inside of my card as well. Yay! Haven't done that lately. But I definitely prefer decorating my cards inside and out! The sentiment on the inside is also a Alota stamp.

Und nun zu meiner Karte von heute. Lust auf Eiscreme? Ich schon und die suessen kleinen Bugs von Alota auch. Das ist ein so suesses Motiv, definitiv eines meiner Favoriten! Sind sie nicht niedlich wie sie da so naschen? Coloriert habe ich sie mit meinen Copics (scrollt runter da habe ich 2 Bilder von den Stiften die ich benutzt habe) und um die Sahne hervorzuheben habe ich Glitter (carrara marble fine von Martha Stewart) benutzt. Und ich war der Meinung die Schokoladensauce braucht unbedingt etwas Glanz und habe dafuer 3D Lack benutzt, ebenso wie fuer die Kirsche. Die Schuessel habe ich mit Shimmerz Blingz Periwinkle coloriert. Bei den Nahaufnahmen kann man das alles ganz gut erkennen. Und wie schoen am WE hatte ich mal wieder soviel Zeit das es mir moeglich war auch die Innenseite meiner Karte zu dekorieren, hurra! Dazu bin ich in letzter Zeit ja gar nicht mehr gekommen. Aber ich mag es viel lieber, wenn ich auch die Innenseiten meiner Karten gestalten kann. Der Spruch auf der Innenseite ist auch von Alota.

14th ROP Challenge, Friday Sketchers and Coco is home

Hello and a happy start in the new week! We had quite an exciting weekend. We brought Coco home, our new puppy! Finally ! YAY! ;-) She is such a sweetheart and a clown as well. We already love her and are having sooooooo much fun with her. And Cleo our 5 year old dog is still a little skeptical and curious as well, about the new and still tiny family member....all these new smells...lol. She just needs a little time to adjust (and lots of extra TLC ;-) ) to the new situation of not being the one and only dog in the house. I'll post pictures during the week. Right now I don't have much time to do anything...lol

Today it's another Monday and time for a new Roses on Paper Challenge!
This time it is on Rosette to choose the challenge and she came up with a great idea! Callenge theme for our newest Challenge is using flowers on your card/project (flower stamp, paper with flowers, decorate with flowers etc) and combine our challenge with another challenge. I think that is a fabulous theme and I chose to join this weeks Friday Sketchers Challenge together with our challenge. They are having a greart sketch to work with this week. For my card I chose the Alota image "Roses". I love this stamp and I colored it with distress inks from Tim Holtz. I also used Shimmerz on the image as well as on the little roses (Prima). The DP I used is from Basic Grey's Porcelaine paper pad. Sentiment stamp is from The Greeting Farm and swirls are from Inque Boutique. Ribbon and buttons from my stash. The halfpearl is from Basic Grey's Opaline Collection . Punches used are from Martha Stewart and EK Success.

Bees and Flowers

Happy Tuesday everyone! Yay finally we got some rain down here. Actually it's raining almost non stop since yesterday. The rain was much needed and hopefully it's enough to put those fires out. My card today is pretty simple because the image is quite big. I LOVE the Alota bugs and just fell in love when I first saw this image on the Alota website. I think they are are too adorable buzzing around the watering can and the flowers. I colored the image using my copics, Twinkling H2O's and Shimmerz.


Hallo und einen wunderschoenen Dienstag allerseits! Meine Karte heute ist ziemlich einfach gehalten, da das Motiv sehr gross ist. Ich finde diese Alota Bugs einfach unwiderstehlich und hatte mich sofort in das Motuv verliebt als ich es das erstemal auf der Alota webseite gesehen habe. Sind die kleinen Bienchen nicht zu niedlich wie sie da um die Giesskanne und Blumen herum schwirren? Coloriert habe ich mit meinen Copics, Twinkling H2O's und Shimmerz.
