Cold Nose, Warm Heart

Hi and Welcome to the new Whimsy Staps release! Featured on my card today is one of the new  images of the Moose You set which I combined with the also NEW Slimline Toner Card Fronts Celebrations 2.

Before foiling with silver foil I sponged the background using Distress Oxide inks in dark blue, purple and yellow. I then die cut the background using the Slimline Birthday Scallops die set. The sentiment that is included with the Moose You set was stamped onto Hammermill paper with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. I cut it out using the banner die that from the Slimline Fancy Frame die set.
The image was stamped onto Hammermill paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and I used my Copics to color it. It was cut out using my Brother Scan n' Cut.

Ho Ho Ho From Our Home To Yours

Happy Saturday! Are your holiday preparations in full swing already? Due to the hurricane earlier this month I am a little behind but managed to finish decorating my house (inside) this week. I know it's not even Thanksgiving but I like to hold on to my German traditions in this regard. I don't mind celebrating Thanksgiving with a Christmas flair. In Germany we were always starting Christmas season on St. Martin's Day which is November 11th and I still hold on to that. Not the tree though. In Germany usually the Eve morning and gets taken down after January 6th. I do mine usually on Thanksgiving or Black Friday (in Germany I did it around 2. Advent).
Ok so much about our Christmas traditions now onto my card for today.

I have another card today where I am showcasing the NEW Festive Holidays A2 Toner Card Fronts together with the Snowball Family set. Before applying sparkling gold foil to my toner card front I added some color to the background using my Distress Oxide inks (res and yellow) and a ink blending brush. I stamped the images onto 80lb Hammermill paper and had my Scan 'n Cut do the cutting for me. There is not much coloring done on these images. I just used a golden DecoColor pen to color the pot. A few golden sequins and white pearls where used for decorations on the tree before adding the sentiment.

Here are the Whimsy products I used on my card:

Penguin Seasons Greetings

Here comes another Christmas card and I have some fun penguins for you today! I created this card using Penguins Pals and Penguin Pals Pizzazz from recent Whimsy releases. The snowflakes are from the Elegant Snowflake and Border die from an earlier release. Behind the cut out snowflakes I used the Blurry Flurries paper.

Snowballs Happy Holidays

Hi Everyone! Hope you are all well! A late hurricane through me off my track again...jeez in November! We are OK but had LOTS of clean-up to do this time. But now without further ado here is one of my newest Whimsy creations from the most recent release.

I absolutely adore the Whimsy Toner Card Fronts. This one here is from the Festive Holidays set and is A2 sized. I inked the background with Distress Oxide and regular Distress inks before adding silver foil using my laminator. The image was stamped onto Hammermill paper and colored with alcohol markers. The sentiment is included with the set. I wanted to put a frame around background and image and decided on the Shaker Maker Rectangle die set.

Thanks for visiting and happy crafting!

Merry Christmas To All - Full Front Shaker Card

I can not wait to start decorating our house for Christmas. My absolute favorite time of the year! I always start early and never wait until Thanksgiving is over. (I know some will cry out loud now but sorry just not my family tradition). With being raised in Germany the German Thanksgiving is in October already so tradition in our house always was starting Christmas decorations around the 11th of November when we celebrate St. Martin's Day. I keep this tradition and start decorating usually on the 10th/11th. 😃

On my card today I used the NEW ATC Vintage Christmas clear stamp set and instead of creating an ATC I used the sleigh stamp from the set on a card.
I inked my background with Distress inks and a Whimsy blending brush. The moon was cut out from silver cardstock using the moon die from the Howling Night die set. Then I stamped the sleigh image and added the snow with a gel pen.
I decided to make it a shaker card and used a A2 sized Full Front Shaker Pocket from This Calls for Confetti, also available in the Whimsy store. On top of the shaker pocket I added the sentiment which I stamped onto white printable glitter cardstock.

Fall Blessings

Hello & Happy Sunday! This card brings autumn vibes even here in Florida. I am using the Gourds and Pumpkins clear stamp set released earlier this month together with an oldie but goodie die, the Slimline Marquee die.

For the background I used a sheet of the wonderful Autumn Hues 6x6 paper pack. The Sentiment which is included with the Gourds and Pumpkins clear stamp set was cut out using the Quick Strips die set.

Potions Cupboard

I have some catching up to do with my posts. This month was quite chaotic and I am a bit behind. First Ian messed up things tremendously and than a nasty cold was holding me back. But now without further ado ... here is a Halloween card I made with an awesome stamp called Potions Cupboard. It was released earlier this month and is available in the Whimsy store here.

I kept my card simple as this stamp is pretty busy and full of spooky things to explore. A black see through organza ribbon and the EEK large word and shadow die are the only decorations I used.

Now onto my card....
I made a slimline card and combined the Fuzzy Spiders clear stamp set with the NEW Slimline Toner Card Fronts Terror 2 and Slimline Waves die.
To create the background I choose the Slimline Toner Card Fronts Terror 2 sheet with the spiders. I first inked it up using Distress Oxide inks (Squeezed Lemonade, Crackling Campfire, Seedless Preserves, Twisted Citron, Villainous Potion) and Whimsy Blending Brushes. Then I foiled the spiders using a sparkling silver toner reactive transfer sheet and my laminator. You can either ink the background first and foil afterwards or foil first and ink later. It works both ways.

Next I die cut the Slimline Waves die from black cardstock, cut my background layer to fit behind the Slimline Waves frame and adhered both to the front of a slimline card base.
I stamped the images and sentiment onto Hammermill cardstock with black hybrid ink. There is not much coloring done on these images. Just the hats and the eyes of the spiders were colored with alcohol markers.

I also added 3D glaze to the spiders eyes and Stickles Stardust glitter glue to the spider web and around the sentiment. On these close-up photos you can see the wonderful silver sparkle of the foiled spiders and the glossy eyes.  I love how the foiled spiders pop on the colorful background. These toner card fronts are super versatile.

Here is a list of all Whimsy products used on my card:
