Beach Frogs Thank You

Happy Saturday Crafters! The mini slimline card I am sharing today uses the newly released Beach Frogs from Whimsy Stamps again together with the new Ocean Fest BG stamp and Many Thanks clear stamp set.

The background was heat embossed in white on shimmering dark teal cardstock. I love this BG stamp. It is really versatile. You can stamp and color it, or stamp, color and cut out elements. Embossed on colored cardstock it makes for a quick but impressive background. After coloring the froggy image with watercolors I cut it out using the matching outline die. I then stamped thank you in black on white CS from the Many Thanks clear set and also used the matching outline die to cut it out. I adhered the sentiment and image with foam tape to the card front.

Shabby Chic Thank You - Kiss My Donkey

Hey there! Here is another new release creation I made. This time using the utterly adorable Kiss My Donkey stamp set by Dustin Pike from Whimsy Stamps.

I haven't done a card like this in years. When I saw the image I decided to color it with distress re-inkers. Another thing I haven't done in forever. While I was coloring I thought it would make a nice focal point on a shabby chic card. So I went back to my roots and pulled out all my flowers, pearls and embellies that have been sitting in my drawers untouched for a long time. I had a blast creating this card. I totally forgot how much fun it is distressing all the layers of paper and adding all the embellies. I have to do this more often again. 😍

The papers I used for my card are from Whimsy's Farmhouse 6x6 paper pack that has been released last month. I chose three different designs from the Farmhouse papers and distressed all the edges with a distressing tool. I then layered them on top of each other (I of course cut them all to have different sizes). On top of the last layer I added some cheese cloth and a chiffon ribbon in a matching color. 

After adhering the image on top of a panel of black cardstock. I glued it on to the card front. I then cut out the 'Thank you' word die from black cardstock. Now it was time to add all the pearls, flowers, embellishments and of course the cut out word die. For a final touch I've added some stickles glitter glue to the image.

Just Bee Cause - Bees and a Shaker Bauble

Happy Monday Everyone! It's the 20th of the month and that means it is time for another Whimsy Stamps Mini Release. I am showcasing a super cute bee clear stamp set by Krista Heij-Barber called Bee Happy. 

I thought this stamp is perfect for creating a shaker card. I am using the new shaker bauble bubbles from This Calls for Confetti as well as some of their Confetti mixes. I combined different confetti mixes and added some sequins to create my shaker mix. 

I colored the cute bee images using Copics and pencils. The little bee who is burrowing it's head in the flower was added beneath the bauble together with the shaker mix. The other images are on top of the bauble as is the sentiment - which is included in the stamp set.

To create the frame around the shaker bauble I used the large frame from Whimsy's Shaker Maker Rectangle set. It fits perfectly with the large bauble bubble. I cut out the frame once from white cardstock and a second time from yellow cardstock (used the yellow as my bauble BG). I opted for a black card base to make it pop.

Hello Paradise

Hello from Paradise - these little froggies really know how to enjoy beach time. I am showcasing some more new release products on todays mini slimline card.

I colored the images from the Beach Frogs and Beach Huts clear stamp sets with Karin Brushmarkers Pro again and cut them out with the matching outline dies. I again used one of the NEW toner cards from the Slimline Wavy pack and used a turquoise foil this time. The Hello word die together with the 'Paradise' stamp are the perfect sentiment for my card.

Beach Time - Frogs and Huts

Lots of Summer vibes with the newest Whimsy Stamps release! I used one of the fabulous NEW Toner Cards from the Slimline Wavy pack and combined it on my A2 sized card with the Beach Frogs and Beach Huts clear stamp sets.

I foiled the wavy toner card using a satin lime green foil from Deco Foil. I wanted it to match the green of the Beach Frog. I foiled using a cheap laminator and it came out perfectly. The toner cards are awesome even if you do not have a fancy minc machine. A laminator will work as well! 

I colored the images using Karin Brushmarker Pro. I cut out the frog image and clouds using the matching Beach Frogs Outline dies.

Thank you - Sentiment only cards

I have two sentiment cards to share with you today showcasing products from Whimsy Stamps June 1st release. 

Both of my cards are using the NEW Flourish Oval Die Set and NEW Many Thanks clear stams set and matching outline dies. The Flourish Oval die set as well as the Many Thanks clear stamps are very versatile and can be used together or on their own and for many occasions.

Slimline Dragonfly Thank You - Whimsy June 1st Mini Release

Hello fellow crafters! Wishing you all a Happy Thursday or how a friend of mine says - Happy TGIF-Eve 😁 I have a slimline card to share with you today. Yesterday Whimsy released a bunch of new products including a fabulous new slimline background die - Dragonflies BG and an awesome thank you sentiment set with coordinating outline dies - Many Thanks. 

I used a sheet of the rainbow magic papers behind the Dragonflies die to make it pop against my dark blue cut out. The sentiment was stamped onto bright pink CS with a dark blue ink and then cut out using the matching outline die. I also stamped an addition to the sentiment which I cut out using the Simple Sentiment Strips die. I ran the Dragonflies BG die through my Vagabond machine again using silver cardstock. I then used these mini dragonflies to decorate my card. Below is a link list of all Whimsy products I've used for my card.

Ay Chihuahua! Happy Birthday!

Hey friends. Today I have a doggie birthday card to show. Images are from Whimsys newest release . The sets are called Doggie Birthday Party 2 and Fill a Stuff - Jam Packed. All product links are below.

I made it a slimline card and in addition to the new products I also used the Slimline Marquee die and Slimline Rainbow Magic papers. I colored the images with my Karin Brushmarker Pro pens.

Heifer Pleeze!

Hi folks! Love this sassy cow image from Whimsy Stamps current release. The clear set is called Southern Heifer. To create my card I used several of the newly released products from the Southern Sass Collection (please see link list below) which are all coordinating. 

The sassy cow was colored using Karin Brushmarker Pro and a waterbrush.
