Life just happened and I am a bit late with posting all my release creations from Whimsy's Special May releases. But I will be catching up on my posts during this week :-)

So my card today showcases the Wrinkles clear stamp set and matching dies (sold separately) as well as the Puppy Paws dies and the beautiful 6x6 paper pad Pets Woof . The latter is out of stock at the moment but will be back in stock soon again! I colored the little adorable smooshy wrinkle face with my ZIG clean color brush markers.

Fresh Friday on Sunday ;-)

Hello Everyone and Happy Sunday!

I know it's Sunday not Friday....but nevertheless here is my creation using some of this weeks featured products. See all deets over on the Whimsy Blog.

I did not feel like coloring this time and thought of a way to showcase the stamps otherwise. I opted for embossing on pink cardstock for my main image. Everything else are just die cuts - except the sentiment of course. For the rainbow I used glitter cardstock.

Whimsy Stamps Mini Release - Hippo Beach Fun

Happy First of May! Whimsy Stamps is having another super cute mini release today. Have you been to the store already? I'll be showcasing one of the adorable Hippos from the Hippo Beach Fun clear stamp set by Dustin Pike.

I started out by stamping the image onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper with Versafine Onyx black ink. Then I watercolored the image with ZIG clean color brush markers and cut it out. My cardbase is a A2 size cut from white 110lb cardstock. Base layer is blue shimmering cardstock.

To create the wavy background I used Distress Oxide inks (peacock feathers, salty ocean and tumbled glass), the Making Waves stencil and a blending brush on white cardstock. To finish off my card I've added a Connected Rectangle Frame cut out from white cardstock, a sentiment (from the set) and a few sequins.

I'm Here For You & A Little May Sneak Peek

I hope everyone is doing well out there and staying healthy! It's a gray and rainy day here on Florida's Space  Coast  today. So I thought I have to post something bright and uplifting. 

I made this card using the gorgeous Fabulous Florals 6x6 paper pad from this month's release. The sentiment is from the Sympathy Life Goes On clear sentiment set.

The words Hope and Friend that were used in the background are from the Butterflies clear stamp set. This beautiful paper and a sentiment make a quick CAS style card.

I also have another Cute Cacti card to share. As well a fairly quick card using papers from the Festive Desert paper pad, a sentiment from the Cute Cacti set and a Festive Edger die on the black layer.

It is almost time for another NEW Mini Release from Whimsy. Just a few hours away (available tonight at midnight!). There will be some SUPER cute products waiting for you in the store tomorrow....here is a little glimpse on one of these....

Now on to my card for today! At the moment I have a hard time to get my creative juices flowing. But I had to come up with something as it was my husbands birthday last week. So after going through my stash of  Whimsy stamps I decided on this super cute 'Over the Moon' stamp set. He loves Sci-fi, Star Trek and Star Wars so I thought these would make a perfect card for him.

Here is what i came up with:

I colored with Copics and colored pencils. Because I am struggling a bit with creativity at the moment I wanted to make a card that was assembled rather fast ..lol. So I opted for one of the Peekaboo Window dies. In my case the Peekaboo Window 3 die. I love the Peekaboo dies. They make a fast and easy card design. But you can also use them to create elaborate and fancy shaker cards for example. So many possibilities. I opted for the fast version...ha! 

I did not want my background to be plain white so I used the Polka Dot stencil and matching inks to add some confetti dots. The sentiment is also included with the set. To give my card a bit more interest and a 3D effect I popped up the middle little monster on a wobble sticker.

Oh and yes, hubby loved the card :-D

My card today showcases the NEW Cute Cacti clear stamp set with matching Cute Cacti Outline dies, the NEW Festive Desert 6x6 Designer Papers and the NEW Festive Edger die set. 

I colored my images with Copics and pencils. The wall behind the cacti was inked using the Brick stencil and Memento Potters Clay ink. 

The sentiment is included with the Cute Cacti clear stamp set. I stamped with Versamark ink and embossed using silver embossing powder. In real life it is much brighter and shinier than in the picture. It's always hard to catch shiny things in pictures.

This time I colored with Karin Brushmarker Pro. The die cut flower border was made using the Festive Edger die set and the pattern paper is from the Festive Desert 6x6 Designer Papers again.
