Journey Into The Sea

Happy Saturday Everyone! Hope you are all enjoying your weekend! My card for today is one of my creations which were published in the last Whimsy Inspirational Magazine Issue 2 in August.

The cute mermaid stamp is by Crissy Armstrong, called 'Journey into the Sea' and was released by Whimsy in August. I stamped onto kraft card stock and coloring was done using Prismacolor Pencils, no blending medium was used. The sentiment is from the Whimsy Vintage Transportation sentiment set by Raindrop Echo Designs. DP is from Basic Grey ‘Lauderdale’ collection. The flourish die is from the Whimsy Shapeology collection.

Here's a close-up on the image and you can see the background shimmering golden. I used some gold metallic rub-on to get a shimmering gold effect for the background. It's just hard to see on the photo. This picture was still taken with my old camera.

REMINDER: On Wednesday (Sept 14th), Whimsy Stamps released our September rubber designs and new shapeology die! From then until September 21st, the Whimsy Stamps DT will be showcasing these fabulous new stamps and shapeology die with a daily mini blog hop.
